Will never use this business again. first of all communication was horrible. He could not understand what i wanted. Secondly he did not offer to even show pics. lastly nails broke not even 24 hours of putting them on and did no physical work. He just wanted to upsell all kinds of add ons and the price was ridiculous for bad quality work. ! read more

They were so kind and I got a mani peti it was wonderful I got a hot rock massage and they gave me little flowers for free.

I decided to give this salon a try and I regret it. I requested a pedicure and a full set. The pillow they put on me was dirty. I noticed they skipped steps including the hand rinse. The technician that did my acrylics didn't shape my nails right, she also left my nails lumpy. Since she didn't even bother to clean the dust, my nails ended up bubbly and a little rough. I asked if she could fix them. but even after re doing them, they were left same way. When it came to my feet, the technician didn't shape my nails correctly either. She didn't even scrubbed my feet more than 15 seconds on each side. I was very disappointed with service. Will not be going back. And do not recommend it. I ended up paying $40 more to get them fix at different salon. read more

This is a terrible acrylic removal. It was careless, aggressive and rushed. Would not recommend not worth it. Nails have never been more dry and uneven. read more

Eyebrow wax and the lady was rude. Didn't even go over whether or not my eyebrows looked good and as I'm leaving and checking myself in the rearview mirror, my eye wax was terrible. I went to go get a pedicure and I got an infection on my toe she did the massage really hard and I got bruises

Meh. Not totally impressed yet also not writing them off. Decided to check it out since my SIL said their leg massages are one of the better ones.. I went in asking with my daughter for a gel manicure and regular pedi for myself. They were nice and got seated right away. I'm seriously not a huge fan of being worked on by two people at once. The ability to just sit and relax is non-existent. Say me down and my daughter was sitting the chair next to me. A woman was working on my feet which I think she did great! Then a man did my manicure, assuming it's jimmy? Since that seems to be the one mostly mentioned on everyone else's reviews. My manicure is what I'm not crazy about. The guy painted over some of my cuticle, didn't get the full side edge of some of my nails which those bugs me!! And the clean up when getting some polish on my finger/meat was poor; granted those would come off. But if that's the case I could've done all these myself at home (minus the cuticle removal). The arm/hand massage was decent given if you're ok with a 60-80 grit sandpaper massaging your arm, then this is your place. After all that, $62 out and he rang me up, I paid tip in cash and said, "this is for you guys" but I think he pocketed the tip which I guess shame on me for not tipping the gal separately. read more

I called in asking if they had time for a pedicure they said yes. Didn't even bother looking at the reviews. Worst mistake. What I asked for vs what I got is a nightmare. Plus after telling the lady I did not like it she just got aggressive and rude. They kept speaking to each other in their language and probably were talking shit about me. $60 for this is NOT worth it. read more

Don't bother scheduling an appointment...they don't honor appointments made. It's happened one too many times...I have an appointment on the books and when I arrive at the salon for my appointment, my nail tech has someone in the seat that they are just getting started on. I go every 2-3 weeks and I have NEVER missed or no showed. They don't value customers time...so they will no longer get my money. read more

I would give zero stars if possible I have come 3 times to this place since it's close to my house and did like the mani quality, so decided to give one last chance. First time just went to remove gelish off my nails...it was rushed. Second time for a pedi/mani. This one was ok, the final quality of the work was very good. I came a third time for another mani/pedi. Customer service was terrible, seems like your are an annoyance rather than a customer. Their color charts are not updated (missing colors that they do have), once again rushed, pulling or pushing your feet rudely when needed to move them, " massages " (if you can call them that) lasted less than 30 seconds and again in a very annoyed manner. Paraffin was left less than 30 seconds as well. Rather than relaxing this was very disappointing. Not worth the $85 charged Would not recommend and needless to say, will never go back! read more

Pro: Convenient location, affordable, ample parking & manager gentlemen is friendly. Con: NO HOT WATER when we came for the pedicure . I brought my 9 year old daughter and her BFF for a kids mani/pedi. There was no hot water and they didn't even bother to inform me prior to the service so the girls soaked their feet in cold water (not even like warm) and I didn't think to double check something like that. I didn't know until my mom went back to check on the girls and told me. I know they can't help it if something messes up with the plumbing it would have shown more transparency and professionalism for them to notify clients prior to the service so we can make a knowledgeable decision. read more

I always enjoy getting my nails done and this time I was looking forward to getting them done the way I wanted (coffin shape) and matte black. I've been having a hard time finding a good place where they can actually shape them all (10) correctly. I wanted them ready for a Halloween party. It was in the late afternoon and of course raining. They were attending two other customers and I was greeted as I walked in. I told them what I wanted and they said they could do it. Some places don't have matte polish so I was thrilled they had it. The girl who did my nails was nice and talkative. When she was shaping my nails I did mention it to her again that I wanted them coffin shaped. She tried but honestly they didn't look right. They just seemed like a regular square shape. I didn't want to tell her again so I just let it go and got over it. I was looking forward for the fresh polish. She did say it was her first time trying to do anything matte and asked the other ladies how to do it. She came back and I'm guessing did what they said and they were done. However honestly I was kind of disappointed because I've seen some matte colored nails before and my nails didn't really look like that. All the flaws came out like a sore thumb. The pictures don't really show the imperfections of the fill but it's there. Nothing I can do now so I just took it like a champ and left smiling because oh well, it's for Halloween and maybe the imperfections might just blend with my costume haha. I am looking forward to getting a new fill and have them look pretty, but can't say I'll be getting them done here again, maybe I'll give this place another try in a few months. read more

I have gone here at least a 10 times in the last 6 years. Won't be back after today's pedicure, especially since the technician nicked me with one of the tools. Also, I remember paying $25 last year and paid $35 plus a 20% tip (which the technician and the one sitting close by gave me a strange look that I felt that leaving 20% was cheap). Shouldn't have left anything after realizing she cut my toe. Have a place closer to me that I forgot about because they were closed due to a fire but will definitely go back to them. read more

I've been going to Covington nails for 3 years now. For my dip sets, I see Jimmy or Linh. I've let a few different ladies to my pedicures and they usually come out beautifully. Lately, I've been feeling as if they rush on my nails a bit ;( I'm sure it's to get in as many clients as possible but I feel my sets would come out as beautiful as they used to if they were as attentive as they used to be. Poor service. I literally came in to get shellac. The tech made my real nail so thin that by the time I went home, 2 of my nails broke. Note I went in on Sunday. I went back the first chance I got on Tuesday to ask them if they can fix the nail. 1. She tried to blame my nail when she even commented on my nice nails the other day. She said I needed powder. WHY? 2. When I asked if she can simply fix it, she said I cannot do. I am not owner. Wtf does that even mean? I never said I wasnt paying for this. Crappy service and horrible finished product. Super annoyed that I wasted my time, gas and energy on their services. I DO NOT recommend. read more

I like this place. The ladies are funny and they do good cleaning. No complaints. But they tend to get busy...

I used to come here awhile ago and they did just fine. Then suddenly they became worse and worse. Spending less time making my nails look good so they could hurry and get the next customer. Yesterday, I decided to give them a try again because I heard they had the new chrome powder. I had this chrome done at a different nail place in Kent previously and loved it but didn't want to drive all the way back out there. Well, I should have made the drive because my nails look awful. The girls didn't seem to have a clue what they were doing and told my friend and I they didn't have the colors we wanted even though it was on the color wheel they gave us. AND NOW FOR THE WORST PART: It is less than 24 hours later and the chrome is peeling! It is showing the blue sparkly color that's underneath and they just look awful. Really disappointed and for sure not giving them another chance. read more

They must stay permanently closed. I've been going here for over a year and for the most part have had good experiences! More recently the quality of my services has been no where near what it used to be. The other day I was in for a fill and pedicure, sat in the chair for 25 minutes. By the time they touched my feet my water was cold. Pedicures seem to be inconsistent and rushed. There's always lots of talking, laughing, sitting and phones being used every time I'm in there. While I was waiting for my fill someone got up on a chair with a sharpie to change the price of a service. Which seems very tacky to do while you have a busy salon with everyone watching you. When I went up to pay my fill was $3 more than usual. Now they charge you $3 to file down your acrylics if you want them shorter! read more

I just had one of the worst manicures of my life. The employees were rude to me and applied the wrong color to my nails. Covington nails has great service, and goes above and beyond for their customers... doesn't matter what service you get, they always treat you like you are their favorite client. I've been going to the salon for over a year, and there are a few things about it that are consistent. The prices are consistent, no surprises. It is consistently dirty - you always find dust and nails on the floor. Most importantly they are consistently overbooking their appointments. Yesterday I witnessed two ladies with a prebooked pedicure appointment sat soaking their feet for a half hour, waiting for a technician. Half an hour later they got up and left! They were pretty patient if you ask me. Not sure if I need to return. read more

Context: I am a Licensed Master Esthetician. I used to be a regular here and get my nails done every 2-3 weeks. I've seen a LOT of unsanitary things but I was just like "that's the price I pay for getting cheap services". I've found black mold at the bottom of their laundry baskets, pulling out used nail files and tools with crud all over them, not cleaning & disinfecting their implements, table, etc. I had just got a full set from a different location and I came by here to get them soaked off. I called ahead to see if they have availability and told him that I had someone else's work on my hands & if that was okay (because I know that can be an issue), and he said it would be fine. As soon as Jimmy (the owner) saw my nails, he scolded me and said I need to go get my nails soaked off where I got them done at. So I was like "okay I will take my business elsewhere if this is going to be an issue" and he continued to grab my hands and wouldn't let me leave the store and said "it's okay I can do it for you! You just won't be able to get a service here again". So he humiliated me in front of all the other people in there getting their nails done and made me feel VERY unwelcome. I usually don't leave negative reviews on places like this but this needed to be said. Very sad to see how rude Jimmy has got with his community and regular clients. I used to always get so mad when his other clients were giving him a hard time and stood up for him and the other nail technicians there but this is beyond me. read more

I have gone to Covington Nails for the past 1-1/2 years due to convenience and price. The salon is dirty and the nail techs carry on conversations in Vietnamese the entire time they are working on you. Today, the nail tech was put off because I wanted to change chairs because the massaging wasn't working. After that she was rude when speaking to me. Finally I had enough and got up and politely said I was leaving. I'm sure it doesn't matter to them that they have lost a customer, but I definitely won't be returning. read more

Never going here again. They had Me waiting in the chair for a good 45 minutes until they finally decided to start working on my nails . Then the lady was rushing the entire time and didn't even check if each nail was even on each finger which I will show pictures of. First one is my pointer fingers , BIG DIFFERENCE , second one is my middle fingers , third is ring finger , fourth is thumb. Never going back to Covington nails! And I'm not allowed to because I refused to pay for her to fix my nails. She cut them way too short and they looked ugly and were not what I wanted so she redid them then tried to tell me 45 dollars...? I already paid that and was not happy with them. They told me to leave and not come back. Horrible service. To top it off the lady that did my pedicure burnt me with the water twice and cut me until I was bleeding. Never go there! read more

Not only did they fix my two chipped nails, they did the rest of my nails again. She's very sweet for doing this, I've never had another nail place touch up any accidents before.
