The printer didn't scan my copy correctly and printed 20 blank papers. It charged me 6.33 and then another 6.33 for the proper copies. I went up and got a refund for the first blanks and all seemed well. I checked my bank account and for some reason i've been charged 24 dollars for a total of 40 copies half being blanks ??? I tried calling this location and sat through 7 minutes of operator number options and finally get through to the store for it to immediately say unfortunately they're not taking calls at all. Store is huge and they even had multiple notices on board kept outside store related to corona. Instead of calling them and asking to come out for delivery, I decided to go inside. Pickup was super quick and the associate at counter was so welcoming and very polite with impressive service. Great service and highly recommended if you could get some offers on products. I thought it would be better to avoid the inefficiencies of the TSA "cubby-hole" office at the airport, and went to Staples instead. The website -- which failed two times -- gave the impression you could walk in. Showing up around 2pm, there was only a very elderly lady, who didn't even acknowledge may arrival. There was nowhere to wait, being incentivised with a discount to shop the store instead. The TSA website said we'd be notified when it was our turn and we'd be able to check our wait status -- this was not true. After an hour of shopping, I began asking some of the other people who were waiting whether they had appointments and how long they had been waiting -- most did, and had been there longer than me. By around 3:00, the elderly lady at the computer had finished with just one person, and was starting on another. By this time, there were 6 to 8 people waiting. Judging by the way she was entering information on the computer with just one finger inferred she was technically challenged for the job. We left at 3:07. Now... what Staples needs to consider ... I'm sure Staples entered into this unholy alliance with the TSA in order to get additional customers in the store. Indeed, I did have a stack of items around $50, ready to check out when I was done with the TSA. A few months ago, my wife did her Pre-check app at the airport and it only took about 15 minutes. Here, over an hour later we still had people ahead of us in line. Staples ... shame on you for being so greedy to allow this to happen. You'll still have to re-stock the items we left when we walked out. I would want to consider what this is doing to the store image. (I owned a retail store and know this is important.) This is certainly not earning you "prestige." Your apparent lack of feedback to the TSA is even more shameful. I won't shop here anymore. read more

BEWARE!!! Horrible refund policy. I bought a pack of envelopes. I did not open up the package. I got home and figured out it was the wrong size. Went right back to return them. I had the receipt. I was given a gift card instead of my money. When I asked why I couldn't get my money back I was told it was their policy. All returns even with a receipt would be refunded in a gift card. When I got home I looked up their refund policy, it stated with a receipt I could get my money back how I paid it in the first place. I was in a jam getting a large last minute printing job done in a short amount of time. Not only did the Staples on Happy Valley agree to put in a rush order for me without an extra charge, they were so nice and accommodating to work with. The manager, I think Ashley, was very pleasant to work with and she explained to me the different ways I could do the job and save money and they offered me to use a coupon. Then the next day after I ordered the programs, I realized there was a typo in it and needed to have a page reprinted. The programs had already been printed, but two of their employees, Eve and Keeana (sp?) were so kind and figured out how I could just print the one page and insert it into the program. While I was there they took their time to help me even though they had other printing jobs to complete. They did it all with a smile on their faces. This store is hot or miss... I've been there on days where there are very few employees and you can't find anyone to help you. Other times I've been there and it seems like there are too many employees for such a small store. I often have to enter this particular store to access the Amazon locker. It's by far the smallest Amazon locker I've ever seen but it's tucked in the very back wall of the store. Last night I was opening a package and was asked three times if I needed help and if I was going to buy something. I wasn't sure what to make of all the sudden attention. Well this location apparently closes at 8:00, not 9:00 and it was 8:06! Whoops! But without any closing announcements or mentions whatsoever I had no idea. I was wondering if they thought I was trying to shoplift or something when they started asking if I was planning on buying something... which was super awkward since I hadn't gone near any of their merchandise! Beware of this store, I went in to buy two visa gift card $50dollars each. After I got to work to put the card into my thank you card for my client, the cards in the back were loose and papers were ripped out. I called the store to talk to the assistant manager Joseph. He was very rude and told me that there's nothing he can do to help me out. He said we also will not give me his managers name. So basically I'm out of my 100 dollar. I was very surprised because we buy everything from this store. Anyway, be careful when you buy their gift card, because someone is probably taking the cards inside. I came in with a last-minute print job that I needed right away for a presentation. Since they have an "instant" print center, I just figured they could...you know...print instantly. I was told they couldn't start my job for "at least" three hours, maybe more. I tried to explain my urgency and the "instant" part of their name, but the counter person truly did not care whatsoever. Needed adding machine tape, my co worker got thermal instead of regular, an easy mistake. These people were worthless. With a Wal Mart in the same parking lot. Not a great move. I stopped in this location looking to find a new office chair, mine was over 20 years old. I was very impressed and grateful for the huge selection they have here, I think over 60 chairs of different types and prices. I spent so long trying out all the chairs that I felt like a weird just loitering but the employees were awesome. They checked on me a couple times but also gave me space to just check things out. When I did need help the young man was able to answer all my questions, get my choice from the back, ring up the sale and took it out and loaded in the car for me. I just left Staples where I went to purchase a printer and computer chair. I was in the store about 30 minutes trying to locate someone to answer questions for me and find the printer in a box I wanter to purchase. Many clerks, so little time and no-one available to help. I finally found one that would work, loaded it in my basket and headed up front when I was told they were closed. It was 6:59 PM, there was no announcement that they were closing. Rather than take care of customers in line, they would not check me out. I get everyone wants to go home, especially on a Saturday night, but a little customer service goes a long way. We came this Staples on happy valley rd for my kid school supplies, I went to the printer counter to go print some photos off my phone while my daughter was shopping for her supplies. The printer guy gave me an instruction card on how to do it without greeting us, from his face expression he looked angry and unfriendly. I needed some help on the printer because I didn't understand it. I stood at the counter for five/ten minutes, he didn't look at me or nothing. He was still on his computer. Just bad customer service at the printing area. There was nobody there and I was just waiting while he was on his computer. So we just left and went to Walmart. This was the most appalling experience I have ever had inside of a business. I am personally in the customer service business with around 500 customers per month and if anyone of my employees every treated me the way I was just treated by this specific employee they would not have a job. You just don't talk to or treat people that way. Not to mention I have a business account with staples and all my locations use them for all of our office products. I had gone over the office printing section with a card that I needed for one of my locations that uses this location for office supplies. To start I stood there for 10 minutes while Dejon the print specialist and only one working that department went about his business. He walked past me 6-7 times with out a simple hello or one minute I will be right with you. That is not a big deal I understand some people are not morning people and things going on in peoples personal lives sometimes dictate a persons mood at work. Having around 100 employees I am the last one to not understand someone having a bad day. The task I had didn't seem too difficult and first sentence from him was I cant help you that you need a flat scanner I only have a roll scanner here. I said so how do I go about having you custom make this for me it doesn't seem like a difficult a big task. He simply said you pay the design team 60 dollars and it will take about 48 hours. Never making eye contact with me and going to his computer right next to me he pulled up a screen. In my head I was thinking okay cool he is going to give me more information or walk me through the design process. I stand there for another 3 minutes or so waiting for instructions on how to proceed. He then pointed to the door flicked his finger didn't look at me said let me know what you decide, and said next looking at the next lady in line. I at that point didn't keep my cool and the lady behind me was also in absolute shock that he had just done that. I went and informed the manager Jason that I just had one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. We are a business client of Staples as well but we will no longer be using them for a thing. Not even a Staple. This store should be absolutely ashamed to be employing this person there. We don't have a Staples in Alaska so this was first visit to one. It reminded me a lot of what Office Max sets their store up. Although I love the selection a lot more. I came in for envelopes and unfortunately they didn't have a smaller box than the 100 envelopes for the regular sized ones. I only needed about 15-20. I guess I will leave the rest in my hotel room...maybe someone can make use of the rest. I was a little disappointed though, and maybe this was a smaller store but I have heard many people say Staples is awesome and even though some of their selection was better than the other office stores around I wasn't too impressed after all the hype it was given. read more

Visited the store for a store pickup USB 3.0 pendrive, the guy in counter gave me 2.0 one, when I told him he took that back and went for checking his inventory. Came back after sometime and said he is cancelling the order because they sold out the product. Then I asked for at least 2.0 he said I need to pay 10 bucks extra to get that, absurdddd. This is how Staples trains their staff to be, already I had a bad experience and he was not ready to compensate for it, instead was asking money for a lower version which already he gave to me. I asked for help and he just walked right past me, didn't acknowledge me, went behind the counter as if I wasn't there, continued doing what he was doing, then asked for help again. He did not even look up at me, just pointed to the cards that give you instructions on self printing. I was still a bit confused and when I asked for help he acted as if I was annoying him, keep in mind the whole time he did not make eye contact with me once. Kept doing what he was doing. Didn't ask what I was having trouble with. I work in customer service so this is just unacceptable. Worst service ever! If i could hive them zero stars I would. I made a purchase online to pick up in the store. I arrived and was told someone would have it right up. After ten minutes of no filing cabinet and all the employees just ignoring me I realized that there were several right there on the floor. I was insulted that the cashier I initially spoke to who was also standing 4 ft from me acted like I wasn't there. Not once did he say sorry for the wait or that he would check on why it was taking so long. After 20 min of being ignored I went to customer service and cancelled my order. I then went over to office max and bought the same product. I paid 20 dollars more but the service at office max made it worth it. I will never return to this location.
