I have recently been to this location a few times. I decided they deserved a good review. Each time I was greeted and taken good care of. I had a print employee take time to help me with an order I placed. All my questions were patiently answered. The order was perfect. I stopped into the location by arrowhead this week and it was terrible service in the print area. It felt like I was putting them out asking a question. Nope. Not going to deal with that. I returned to Metro location (since I knew how I was treated previously). I had the help I needed and was taken care of. Thank you for having great customer service skills. I'm giving his review for the Verizon at this store! With them approaching me about my Verizon service, they gave advice to change from a consumer acct to a business account. This was on August 11th. Since then I have had nothing but issues! Switching from a consumer acct to a business account should have been seamless. As of today Sept 17th I've had 2 bills (one consumer and one business) and it's been a nightmare trying to get this issue corrected. I've spent 4 days on the phone with Verizon trying to correct this issue. I've also gone to an authorized Verizon store and have worked on trying to rectifying problems. Went it one time and that's all it took. I went to buy a gaming chair for Christmas and when I went to return it unopened with receipt the cashier said the card did not match even though it was the exact same way and card I paid. (keep in mind I had previously asked what to do if I wanted to return the chair since it was a Christmas gift) They treated me like the problem was me and not their system. They did not treat me like a customer felt more like they didn't care or even try to help. I did not think my first time at staples would also be my last. Since I had come here previously to shred papers, I noticed the sign that Staples also recycles old computer towers. I kept that in mind since my roommate and I each had one just sitting there collecting dust. Did you know you get points for recycling old computer towers? I didn't. Luda did, though. So when I dropped them off and left them on the counter, he called me over to ask if I had a rewards account so he can give me my points. Wha??? I would've totally walked out of there without knowing any different. I'm glad he called me over. He didn't know how many points I would get, but he said you at least get something. Our Mother passed away earlier this month and we wanted a few things printed for the service. So many businesses advertised beautiful options for photo cards, photo enlargements, etc. but had a long wait even though they stated they had one day service. The printing center at Staples did a quick and lovely job on a large poster that included a photo of our Mom, along with some graphics. After that they printed photo business cards that we used as a keepsake for attendees. Both of these orders were very reasonably priced and the staff was very kind upon pick up. We are placing an order later this week for thank you cards as well thanks to our positive experience. read more

I go to this location a lot and I'm always greeted when I walk in. I created my business card and uploaded it to the Staples site for printing after midnight. The following day Brittany called me regarding a "white line" on my card. I asked her to send me what she had so I could see it. When I go the email, I'm thinking, that didn't happen on my end. I checked my original and of course it was there. Don't know how it happened nor how I missed it. I called the store back and spoke with David. I let him know that it was on my end so go on with the print, I would take care of it. He let me know that the cutting machine wasn't working at its best so on his lunch break he was taking them to another store to cut. Later that evening, I got a call from Raynel letting me know my cards were ready for pick up. It was a pleasant surprise when Raynel presented it to me without the white line. Thank you amazing team. I go in on Saturday for a printer. I started by researching the quality of printers online on my phone to see what will last. As I'm doing that, I see Staples has a "Price Match" promotion going on. They'll match the price, if I can find it lower, at 110%. Ok, so I find it at Amazon. It's lower, by a penny. Either way, it will be 10% off the printer in Staples. I go and ask the store associate to make sure. He interrupts me... "It has to be shipped and sold by Amazon to get the promotion." "It is," I tell him. "Can I see," he takes my phone. "OK," he says. He says nothing, grabs a hand truck and lugs the printer off the shelf. Then after I make some prints, I do a little shopping, then I go to pay. He calls over the manager, she l checks my phone again because he seems unsure about the whole thing. "Yeah it's less, but she won't get anything off because it's only a penny." I ask her to repeat the promotion. She does. I say "What kind of dumb promotion is that?" Now I think I used the word dumb because she just walked away. So I'm angry. The promotion was 10% off the difference of the price. The associate didn't understand that to be the case and this little caveat isn't posted anywhere. They were very rude and unapologetic. I wasted about 30 mins on something that wasn't posted and something that someone with basic customer service skills could have said, "the difference is so small, it's really not worth it". After I left, the cashier ended up using my email to send the next persons receipt, so I had part of their credit info. AND, I called corporate to file a complaint. I was contacted by the Office of the President, and she accidentally emailed me the resolution of the case with the details of the call. I can tell you that was a fun read and there's a reason why they have no support for customers if that's their customer relations process. read more

They also have crappy attitudes as if they really hate their jobs. Absolute worst customer service! Came in the store yesterday to order invitations and was told by the girl to work on a computer to submit order. After doing all that it wouldnt take my payment and a manager(a guy) comes over and is like you are going to have to call IT because this computer never works. Ok then why did you put me on this computer?? I would then have to wait for a computer that was already being used and was getting no help what so ever. I proceeded to go home and order them online thinking that would be quicker but that was a joke as well! I ordered them over 24 hours ago and tried calling the store to see if they were ready and no one would answer the phone, gave up after 5 mintues. I just left Staples, MetroCenter. I went there because I needed some thermal lamination plastic sleeves. I checked online first and found that Staples had them listed for $12.49. So I get there and they charged me $24.99. I said online it says $12.49. He said "we price match". Well, that's good because that's what the price says it is :-( Long story short... He uses his device and sees that it's $16.39, so that's what I was charged. Talk about bait and switch! Like most folks, I buy most of my computer and office gear online. Between the good prices, and in a lot of cases, free shipping, one would be a fool not to. After poring over endless reviews, I finally found the printer I wanted -- no, needed. The reviews also stated to wait around for a huge price drop that happens regularly. I did, and missed it every time it happened at Fry's or Newegg or Tiger Direct. Imagine my surprise, when I saw the deal show up at Staples! Staples. Wow. I hadn't thought of that place in ages. The reviewers also said you could score a big fat Staples in-store coupon on eBay, for a song. I did. I placed my order online, used my coupon, and opted for the free in-store pick-up. I had to wait 3 days for it to get there, which was kind of annoying. I swung by on my way home from work, showed the nice man my receipt, and the coveted printer was mine! Along with some ridiculously cute flowered binder clips I happened to spy while I was there. My only issues were the slow delivery time -- possibly due to the proximity of the holidays -- and the cramped, demolition derby-like parking lot. The employees at the printing center at staples are just flat out disrespectful. I am so disgusted by the way they speak to customers who walk in and ask for help. Not only do they refuse to help them they straight out tell them they aren't required to help them with any of there needs and they can leave. Why work dealing with customers if you have no desire to help customers. They are making this place lose business. I will be sure to spread the word to friends and family to not use this location. I ended up walking into an office max where a gentleman at the printing center there went above and beyond to attend to our needs and had us in and out of there within minutes. I just needed 1 copy of 100 sheets of paper. Something that could be accomplished in about two minutes. Needless to say, they said turn around for this "job" would be 24 hours. I know what you're going to say.... Why not make them yourself at their self-serve copy machines. Well, every single one was out of order. Waste of time! I went in to have one document laminated. I waited at the copy center for a young lady to wait on me for about 15 minutes while she sent one package. Since she still wasn't done I had to ask one of the eight people just standing around to come and help me. He told me that he could not do it until the next day. Apparently they were closing for inventory at 7 PM even though the posted hours are 9 PM. When I came in it was only 6:30 PM but he said it would be impossible to laminate one piece of paper before 7 PM. It seemed strange to me that none of the other people just standing around could laminate my paper for me. Never going in there again. Wonder why Amazon gets all my business? read more

I have dealt with the General Manager and another Manager at this location. I would really really love for this location to get their act together and communicate with one another better! The CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION IS HORRIBLE! I had made a previous print order and they informed me to pick it up the next day. I was unable to pick up the paper so I sent my fiancé to pick up the paper order. Once my fiancé arrived there the associate tried to make him pay for an item that was already paid for. I called ahead of time and made sure my fiancé didn't need anything other than the email I sent him for pick up. I let the associates know I had paid for the paper the day I made the order. Why would they try to make him pay for an order that was already paid for! So I called to let the associates know my order was paid for already! Once we got that figured out my fiancé went to pick the paper up again.. only to find out the image I left with them was printed on the wrong paper. So we had to redo the whole order! And I am on a tight schedule! This has really delayed my wedding invitations to be sent out! Once they print the image on the correct paper I see that the print service was rushed and poorly done. The print quality was not right! I work, so I can not keep going back and forth to this location everyday for them to correct their mistakes! I go back in, when I finally have the time and let them know the poor quality. The Manager I dealt with said they would have my print service done same day for pick up. I waited all day on my only day off for a phone call for my order. I never got one and so I once again make an unnecessary trip to this location only to find out my print service was not done! And they were not going to call me till the next day. Like I had mentioned before today is my only day off! I can't keep going back and forth to the location wasting gas! Why can't this location just communicate better and get my order right the first time so I don't have to keep going back and forth ! I have never been in a more disorganized store. The shelves were ransacked, and items were unmarked and not in their correct places. The cashier said she couldn't look up the item's price by the SKU#, but charged me based on a similar but higher priced item, staying that it was Stocking's problem to fix.
