Jesse said this was normal and it should be fine after a couple of days use. After a couple weeks of use, the dark spot stayed there. Also noticed a line toward the top. I reached out to Jesse and he said to give it another day and then it would replace it if it continued. I gave it a couple of weeks, and reached back out. Jesse said he would check his schedule and get back to me. A week later, nothing. Checked back in. Still no response. Sent another message after a few days. He said he has been sick and we could meet tomorrow "for sure". Never heard from him again, got tired of dealing with it. Seemed like a nice guy, but he really needs to get some higher quality parts, and better follow through.

I was ready to give a five star review. I took a vcr/dvd combo and a small tv with a built in vcr…read morehere to be fixed. The vcr would not work in either. It was $30 for each just to have him look at them. A couple days later he called to say it would be $65 for the vcr and $75 for the tv combo to be fixed. Unfortunately the $30 for each up front, did not go towards the repair. Yet I decided the price was fair. He quickly had them ready to go. Once home I was happy with the repairs and the cost was ok, since vcr's are hard to come by these days. He had said there was a 45 day warranty for the repairs. So at this time, I was ready to make a 5 star review. But first I wanted to use them both at home. The tv vcr worked great. The other one, the vcr/DVD combo, I played one vhs tape and then reround it. When I hit eject, the tape case came out with the film still inside, stuck on something inside. The next day I called and got voicemail, I left a detailed voicemail and asked him to call me back. This was 3 weeks ago on a Monday, I called several times during the week and it always went to voicemail mail. Two weeks ago on a Monday, I called and left a voicemail that I would be near the shop and would stop by with the vcr, hoping he could open it up and remove the tape, and see if it could be fixed so this didn't keep happening. Monday when I stopped by the shop, the door was locked, but the open light was on, a sign on the door has a phone number to call for help. (Different phone number from the online number I had been calling) so I called that number and left a voice mail as no answer there either. I hung around the area for a bit, tried calling both numbers again, and never had a call back. I have called again with no answer, sent text messages with no reply back, and it has now been 3 weeks. Sadly, the repair was done and I thought super, need to do a 5 star review. But the one item having issues, no response from voicemails, and the lack of follow through has me at zero stars. But the tv with the built in vcr is still working so gave 2 stars for that repair. If I hear back I will update the review. No update means I was never able to get a response.
