I went to purchase notebooks on sale for $0.50 for students that can't afford their school supplies. An employee who was off the clock (I heard her tell another employee she needed to go clock in after she spoke with me) took it upon herself to run up to the cashier helping me and let him know I can only buy ten and not to let me do another transaction. I asked the manager and she said there was a limit so I asked if I can just come back later or tomorrow then and she said, "If you want." I came back later to purchase another 10. Again, the same lady came to help me and rang me up. I told her I'd see her tomorrow for more and she said, "No, you can't buy anymore! She [the manager] did that as a one time courtesy!" I just replied, "I don't know why you care so much." (I had told them I'm buying them for my students and had a school shirt on and my ID even. I don't even think that woman has a right to say I can't come back tomorrow. That doesn't make sense. But, since they wanted to make a hassle for me, I figure I'd reciprocate. Hey corporate, what is your policy for employees helping customers when they are clocked out and/or what is the policy for taking their breaks on the floor? I'm pretty sure that's illegal. The NEW Print Manager Shaunna is what this store needed . before she arrived the print team was alwaya rude and not friendly not paying attention to customer needs. However, Shaunna is always multi tasking, making sure every customers needs are taken care of and goes over and beyond what is expected. She also shared how she is new and learning and apologies for any obstacles she is faced with in getting the order done. it is apparent the other staff members don't follow her direction or listen to her when she asked for help. I go there weekly and always see Shaunna trying her best no matter how busy the dept is while other staff memners ignore the customers and stay talkng to eachother. and when speaking to customers are very rude. if it were not for Shaunna being the Manager in the dept and such a wonderful perpendicular to interact with I would not return. Staples needs to recognize how OUTSTANDING there employee is doing , especially with her being new and working so hard to please every customer with a smile and patience. it is employees auxh as her that make all the difference .. Customer service is so terrible at the printing station. I was trying to print things from the computer. When it started printing it stopped and said I need to load paper in tray . There was three staff members there. 1 of them was busy and practically taking care of all costumers. I asked one of the other staff members that didn't seem to busy if she could reload the paper . She ignored me the first time and then I repeated myself and she told me to hold on. Mind you I'm being charged for the time I'm logged in the computer. Finally one of the other staff loaded the paper. At the end I was charged 20 dollars for having to stay logged on waiting for them to just load paper and another 15 to print my pages. read more

Another sad example of another poorly managed store location. We went to two Staple's for the 50 cent school supplies limit 30. Now how does Staples spend over 100K on commericals and radio plus print ads for over a week for stuff they do not have? This is why they have lost thousand of consumers. They use trickery to grab the attention of consumers they think since we are already therewe will buy the higher price items...WRONG...that is when we go to Dollar Tree, Walmart, Target or 99 cent stores By law maybe as long as they had a few sales items they can say they are well within their rights to advertise fake ads. The worst part was few of us were so sad we wanted to spend $100.00 and we are retired so money is a big factor. Now the less fortunate children will get these supplies. No employee was even aware of the sale, train your staff they make and lose money for the company. Today was my time go to a Staples and I will make my family never spends 1 red cent in any of the stores. Staples is not the first name that comes to mind when I need office supplies. Best Buy is off our radar any way, but tried before Staples contact, Best Buy gave us a number that was just "Parts number" I looked up online and no address no real clear info of WHO THIS NUMBER GOES TOO! I always go to this location but after today I will never go here, around 2pm today there was a lady at the counter who was the worst horrible person I have ever met, I simply asked to exchange the item and she kept showing me attitude towards me as the item is stolen, after they didn't have any in stock I asked for a refund and she refused and told me to return it at a different staples. Granted, this Staples location is closest to where I live since it's around the corner. However, they usually tend to be out of the stuff that I need. The prices for most of their items seem to be comparable to other office supply stores in the area, but that really doesn't matter if you can't find the items you're looking for. Even though this place is usually out of stock & you may not be able to find what you're looking for, the clerks & cashiers are always friendly & helpful. After today's discovery of the HUGE, amazing Office Max warehouse, I'd say to shop there instead for all of your office needs. This 5 star review isn't for Staples over all. This 5 star rating is for a young lady in the copy center by the name of Danella! She is incredibly kind and helpful. She takes the time to ask how your day is going and how she could best assist you. She's taken the time to get to know me and even my kids that often come with me to Staples. Thank you Danella for making my life easier. I come to Staples at least twice a week and it means a great deal to know I can count on you to make my day! I have to say that about a year ago Staples changed their policy that all express orders would get an additional charge. That was disappointing but not only that they would at times make you wait the 1 hr. time frame which is within the Express Order policy. So with that being said Danella helps expedite my orders in a timely manner and if she can't give me my full order she will process 1/2. Not only does she treat the customers poorly and in a massively condescending fashion, she encourages her cashiers to do the same. What a lovely way to show young employees how to succeed in life. I had an unfortunate experience with the print center. I placed an order for a banner, which should have been ready within 24 hours. I called approximately 20 hours after placing the order to confirm pick up and I was told the banner would be ready by 8:30pm. I arrived the following morning, approximately 36 hours after placing my original order, and I was informed that the banner was not only not ready, but that they wouldn't even be able to print it at all. Apparently, they didn't have banner paper. I was told at that point that I had been sent an email the night before (I wasn't) letting me know the banner wasn't ready. This was confusing to me, especially given that I had called the night before and pickup had been confirmed. They are disorganized and rather unprofessional. This is alarming as they should be an example of both characteristics given the market they serve. I urge Staples to consider management retraining. I do not recommend using the print services at this Staples. read more

This is the Staples/ office supply store that is neat to my home I've made regular purchases as well as used the copy center/ self-service faxing. The copy center has usually one to two people working. Depending on the time of day or who happens to be working, you may get little to no help. I've been in the store where a copy service employee yelled at a customer who required assistance. Fortunately I know how to use their fax but I'm obviously a little nervous to all for help if I need it. The store is clean and has a great selection of office supplies. The cashier's at the main checkout for some reason are always the slowest. The usually have one to two cash registers open and it always takes so long to check out. Overall, I will keep going there to use the self service faxing. read more

So, I had already made a review once. Here's an updated one. I went to staples to get my screen fixed. Which they had a sale that's the only reason I went. That night I was looking at the screen and it was very yellow. (Which it wasn't before. It was practically a brand new phone) So it was obviously the screen they put on it. I was thinking maybe it was defected or something. I went back in to see what they could do, they did notice it was way more yellow than regular screens. So the man did the screen again, actually- he did it twice more. Because he kept noticing that yellow on the screen. Come to find out. That's just how they sell their screens since they aren't real Apple. Like holy shit. How can they be approved for this?! It's such bad quality. And if I knew Apple was literally the same price as them I would've gone there in the first place. So let's just say I was pissed. He gave me a full refund because he realized how bad it looked. (Which they shouldn't even have this feature at their store) So I was like okay, got my money back I'll go to Apple now and get it done the right way. The guy at Apple said the last guy who touched my phone " stripped" the screen back on. Which means the ORIGINAL parts to the screen (screws) aren't there anymore because they use a third party screen. HOLY SHIT. HOW WORSE CAN THIS GET So literally just because staples doesn't know their shit when it comes to Apple screens I need to buy a $1000 DOLLAR PHONE. Just because they can't do their job. I WILL NEVER recommend getting your screen fixed here!!! Please just go to Apple and get it done the right way! Appointments suck to make there. But they literally charge the same price and won't ruin your phone!! Oh yeah side note. The guy at Apple even said the last guy who did my phone also didn't even put it in correctly because it was popping out in places they noticed and the shadow square was very noticeable. I a completely surprised by the negative reviews of this store. Especially about the management! I moved to the house we are back in early 2016 where I continued running and growing my business in an extreme manor while doing so. I have spent many hours at this store many days in a row at times. I've had problems with products that have been taken care of professionally and courteously always. Lonnie, the store manager is amazing. I have not had an unpleasant adventure with her nor any of the associates there at all. Christine is a great help as I need it, especially while picking out numerous new computers for my, now corporation. The others there are great as well but memory keeps me from remembering the names to give the ol' shout out them as well. I am always treated with upmost respect the moment I walk in the main entrance. I've spent quite a bit of money at this store in particular with only utilizing there competition once since I've been at my current location due to a brand name I "had to have". I am loyal once I find a place, such as this store that takes care of all my needs. I looked up the store phone number to call ahead inquiring about more business needs when I saw the reviews on here and decided I need to give my input. Not wanting to make Any unnecessary outings. They confirm my item was in stock and put two aside for me. I said I was on my way. When I got there, ( 20 Minute drive) the assistant manager acted stupid and clueless and show me a box with my name on it. That was not even what the sales clerk had explained. When I kept explaining what the sales clerk explain to me she had in her hand, finally another worker came and said oh we just sold them. Wait you told me you put them aside for me and then had the balls to leave my name on some other boxed item up front. I leave the store. I was making a phone call in my car when I see one of the employees walk to her car with the items in her hands and put them in her car. Cool couponing in my inbox has all but stopped. Where are all those weekly $25 discount coupons with $70 spent? And, in the past I was always able to just use the coupon number to redeem at Staples, but it appears now that management (or corporate) has made a decision to force a hard copy print out or a screen shot of the inbox coupon to get the deserved discount. What happens when you don't have a printer nor smart phone with camera? Not at all cool in my opinion. Understaffing and lack of training of people in the copy center is an issue as well, as few know the ins and outs of the UPS mailing system. And, several of my print orders have been lost or misplaced at critical times in my business cycle. And, my 2 most popular sizes of boxes used for my business have now been discontinued, making it problematic to say the least. With the poor quality of the coupons now and lack of the supplies I need there is little motivation to come in other than for my UPS drop offs.. read more

This is for the copy and print center. I brought my Dad to Staples to show him how to ask someone at the counter to print a document for him. Usually, the people at the counter will print your documents for you upon request. However, the young lady working the counter on a Saturday afternoon refused to do this task for us. She shooed us over to the copiers to do this ourselves. If it was just me doing this, that would be fine. However, this is not helpful for my Dad, who is not as familiar with these technologies and won't always have me available to help. Overall, the customer service was unacceptable. read more

LOUSIEST SERVICE I went to Staples on 3/18/2017 around 7pm. I own multiple business. Sometimes our staff pays with several credit cards for different businesses and sometimes cash depending the size of the purchase. I had Dr Grip 6 refills with dried up ink, which we purchased around 1-2 months back. Few open and rest not open or used. I scanned my card and they found 1 pack and rest they said without the receipt they cannot exchange. Each refill packet is $2.49. I was there over half an hour talking to cashier, then another worker came over and then the female manager. For total return of $4.98, I was there over half an hour and they refused to exchange because they could not find the receipt on my card or phone number. They found around 4 pens, but not refills. Myself and the staff have around 18-20 pens. We shop around $2,000+ at Staples every month. Last time for another return, they could not find the receipt by scanning my card, later I went back with the receipt charged on the same card and they replaced it. I'm in Sales so I'm a real heavy user of this Staples especially their Copy Center. I generally make hundreds of copies of each month and the folks at the Copy Center are very helpful making sure that they print out the correct ones off of my flash drive and proofing them as well. If there's a multitude of jobs before yours they're great at giving you a time when your's will be ready. If you're a heavy user I'd also recommend getting their Staples Rewards Cards. I was surprised to learn that i had already earned a $25 credit and I was able to use it towards a GPS purchase. read more
