Stopped in Staples to look for a printer. We are elderly & not up to speed on technology. We noted that employee "Jeff " had just clocked out for the day & was headed to the back as we walked by. He stopped & asked if we had questions. We did of course. but told him we heard him just "clock out" & could find someone else to help us. He said he is "off the clock but that makes no difference". He spent 20 minutes or so of his own time helping us pick the correct printer for our needs and budget. Very helpful, very courteous without going overboard. Just someone that "Staples" is lucky to have. Nathan checked us out and was also most courteous and seemed like he really cared about helping us, and not just the "hi, how are you, give me your money & get out of here, your bothering me" attitude. If you have felt pressured cause you will not buy extra ink with a printer that comes with ink or considered buying a laptop only to be told it's out of stock I'm sure Caroyln the store manager was the one. Just a heads up people if the computer is out of stock it's because you told them no to extra add ons Like Microsoft, McAfee, or set up cause it hurts the store's numbers. The PC will come with a manufacturer warranty and with a 30-day free trial of McAfee. Always check when buying a printer to see how many pages of ink you get out of the box. DONT ASK EMPLOYEE trained to say less than 10 or you won't be able to print. Always order online with less hassle and with no pressure or dirty looks. read more

Can you give less than 1 star? The problem is Staples corporate. The copy print center employees are almost always courteous, hard working and understaffed. There are 3-5 other employees in there at any time of day and none of them are trained to help. After our printer died and my son needed to print a homework assignment, I sent one page to be printed out, waited 40 minutes to go and pick it up and still spent 25 minutes in staples. Fifteen minutes waiting in line at the copy center only to find that my print hadn't even been seen, then provided an invoice for the 11 cents and told to go get in line to pay at the front check lanes because she was too busy to ring it up at the copy center. I won't go into the idiot couple in front of me in line who couldn't remember their rewards linked phone number and the bogus coupon they were trying to use. The assistant operations manager came out after the cashier called for help 3 times and proceeded to inform me that my 11 cent invoice was wrong. The total was 12 cents. Twenty five minutes of my life to spend 12 cents at Staples. Never will spend 1 cent there again. read more

I was picking up supplies for a project yesterday and had a middling experience. The prices were fair, but not exemplary, but I managed to get what I needed for about what I expected. Also, it was frustrating that there were issues holding my items. The night before I had planned to have my things ready for pickup, so I went onto their website, and it said that all of the items I needed weren't sold at the store, when in fact, they were in full stock. Customer service was okay...I appreciate how often they tried to help me, but they kept giving me funny looks, likely because I was a teenager shopping at an office supply store. They did, however, answer all of my questions, and the woman at the copy center was especially helpful! Don't use the restrooms here, though. They are absolutely disgusting and can't have been cleaned in over a week, at least. Everything was filthy and the sink barely even worked. Wow absolute worst service today!!! The "sales manager" immediately told us we should have paid at the other store then continuously had a terrible attitude. He was moving at a snails pace to go through a check list and when we told him we were in a rush he made it slower by apologizing and saying it's policy at least every other sentence. A five minute pick up and pay was turned into a terrible twenty minute experience. He eventually finished his check list and walked away without saying anything. We made our way to the register on our own and he had a terrible attitude. I will NOT go back to this one ever. I can't believe how rude he was during check out. Had to get a same day printer for my office (my old one died on me) The associates here were able to find the printer I needed and held it for me until I could drive down and pick it up. Staples has the worst prices on copy paper. They want to charge you $56 dollars a box then give you a $35 rebate. What a stupid rebate program why should I wait six weeks to get a rebate so the price is similar to normal retail prices at other places. I'm never buying paper at staples again. Please do the same! My business printer stopped working this morning and I had to make an emergency trip to Staples to fix the problem. Jeff did a great job of diagnosing the problem and immediately provided the drum for my existing printer. I greatly appreciated that he didn't try and sell me something I didn't need. I had the WORST experience at this location yesterday and can honestly say I will never go back there or give them my business ever again. I came in in a friendly great mood and left very upset. I went to the printing area as I had a simple one piece 16x20 print job I needed done. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Harley at the print counter. She was hands down the RUDEST employee I have ever dealt with anywhere ever (and I am 53). She was condescending, rude and had ZERO customer service skills. I asked for my flash drive back and let her know how rude she was. She smirked at me and could have cared less that I was upset. Told me to have a good day and walked away. On the way out I spoke to a manager (did not get his name) who barely apologized for her behavior - but only told me that they were aware of how Harley was and that it was a personality issue?? In my opinion if you're already aware of an employee who is that rude and treats customers this way regularly she should not be working for you!! He offered to pay for my print job but said that she would have to do it for me. I chose to not take that option as there is no way I will ever go in there again or deal with her again. He kept saying that he didn't know what else I wanted him to do. A simple apology for your employees horrible behavior maybe??? The Staples on Arizona Avenue and Ocotillo is 100 times better - with friendly and PROFESSIONAL employees. I will continue to give them my business! read more

This was my worst experience ever at this store. I always come to Staples whenever I need school supplies and usually spend a couple hundred each school year. Me and my mother were waiting patiently in line behind these two ladies trying to buy a warranty on a chair this whole time. We were waiting in line to buy simply two pencils, a small and should be fast trip, and the staff around the store were doing who knows what and for sure this one employee was doing nothing. He knew that we were waiting in line but just looked at us from outside the registering area, a few steps and seconds away from ringing us up. He did not ring us up and it was kind of weird because his job is to go to the cash register and serve the customers. We did not say anything yet and just waited in line. Then, another lady joined the line. A while later, a new staff member came to the register and told the lady who just joined the line that he would take her up first. We were confused because we had been waiting in line for a while now, simply for two pencils. My mother said to the man out loud that we were in front of her in line and had been waiting. The man rolled his eyes and shook his head at my mother. He ignored us completely and so did the other lady. All of the employees ignored us. Do you know what your job is? It is to help the customer, obviously not ignore them. I was annoyed when the man obliviously ignored us and so I put the pencils down, aloud enough to hear, and said that we did not need them as much. My mother followed me out of the store. We decided we are not going to shop at Staples again because the way they treated us was just wrong. The store is gray and depressing now, not as it used to be, and I would rather go to any other store for my supplies. Please fix this issue. read more

The Service was terrible and when I asked Hope from the manager she seem too busy to help. Storage so messy and gross it made me realize why staples stores are around in the valley. I went in with my kids to buy school supplies paper everything without a spot we had to go next-door to Walmart to find our supplies. Today I went to this location as well as the location at Arizona Ave. to pick up school supplies for my kids. THIS location was very well staffed and I was easily asked 3-4 times if I was finding everything I needed or if I needed any help. Really great service and the place was very well organized - yes, I was finding everything I needed, everything that was in the back-to-school ad. Prices were comparable and often cheaper than Walmart next door. A successful back-to-school shopping experience, especially with the $5 off a $30 purchase coupon, teacher's discount and $2 per old binder discount when buying a new binder. read more
