Staples has an Amazon drop off for returns, so I tried it out today. They converted one of their cashiers to be dedicated for Amazon. While waiting I saw the Party City sign! I asked the staff and was told they just started setting up the Party City section and will soon have helium for balloons. I stopped by Saturday morning to check on getting a document laminated. I was advised they are prohibited to laminate anything from adot. It's disappointing since laminating is just to protect against tearing. They do not provide a reason to why they can't laminate these type of documents. I would not return as the Gilbert location on Baseline is Friendlier. read more

I've been going to Staples for several years. I have always had a good experience. I bring in my Service-Stability dog (who is well behaved) and everyone is kind to him. I have a PDF from Etsy that I'm not able to print at home and tried to send it to Staples website. I wasn't able to do that and called someone at Staples at the print center. A woman whose name I don't remember tried to help me download my PDF but I couldn't figure out about the "paperclip" on my iPhone. She was kind and patient. I came into Staples today with my Service dog and Brian helped me download my PDF and email to Staples using the PAPERCLIP! Brian was kind and patient, too. Staples is wonderful!!! Someone opened the door closest to me so my dog and I didn't have to walk all the way around to the exit door. I appreciate that because my ankle was hurting. My experience here is for TSA Pre-check and TSA Pre-check only. This location uses Clear as their vendor, the TSA website and the Clear website both say that an appointment is not needed so I proceeded to this location without one. The woman working the Clear station seemed annoyed that I was there without an appointment and acted like it would take an act of Congress to squeeze me in. After about 20 minutes I was able to complete the process. The interview process was unfortunately unfriendly and she kept nitpicking my documents and saying I may be denied. Spoiler alert: I was approved. Did this save me a trip to Sky Harbor? Yes. Do I was there were another option in the East Valley? Also yes. read more

My entire experience was great, but Matt in Copy and Print made it truly special. That area hasn't always been where I've had the best experiences, so this really stood out. I first met Matt on the floor, where he greeted me warmly and clearly answered my print questions even though he wasn't working in that area. When I was ready to print, he was helping in Copy and Print, which was very busy with multiple customers. At first, I was looking for a female employee to help me, as the medical images I needed to copy could be uncomfortable. When I spoke with Matt about this, he was incredibly kind, professional, and respectful, and I felt genuinely heard and seen. I expected to come back the next day due to the size of my order, but Matt told me it would be ready in five minutes, and it was. While I waited, I watched him help many people with the same level of care, respect, and attention to their time. He truly seems to enjoy helping others. I don't know his political affiliation, and it doesn't matter, I just keep thinking, I want to be around more people like that. I guess he's part of the "treat people with respect" party. The Staples website says it now recycles suitcases. I drove from Tucson with five suitcases to be recycled only to be told that this location "isn't set up for that." This needs to be clear on the website. I appreciate everything that Staples does recycle, but if it is specific Per store, that needs to be made more clear on the website. read more

I have been going to this Staples for the past year for many print projects, usually last minute and/or express prints. Everything usually comes out well. No complaints, especially when I'm able to get them same day for a reasonable price. The staff is amazing! They're always friendly and helpful. I appreciate the calls letting me know my prints are ready. I want to shout out one particular employee, Joe. Joe went out of his way to help me one day. I came in and tried to use the self-serve machines to make copies. My prints weren't coming out the way they were supposed to; they were the wrong size. I brought it up to Joe, and he explained that the machines sometimes do that. He took it upon himself to print them on his computer instead. He spent a few minutes adjusting my project so that it would print correctly. I was touched by Joe's kindness. I will continue to support this Staples! read more

OMG!! SUCH DISCUSTING ATTITUDE!!!! My mom had an appt for TSA pre check. There were no signs indicating anyone on break, no one told us anything to help, we have NEVER done a TSA check in before as we have never traveled outside the country. We saw a TSA machine and thought we needed to check in on it to let them know we were here or something. We had an employee named Chrissy come up with an extreme accusatory tone and language acting like we were doing something illegal on purpose. How the hell should we know anything. I tried to explain that we didn't know and tried to exit out but she was telling me in such a firm tone to stop doing what I'm doing, like i was a little child. That the lady in charge of it is on a break till 3:15...(yes cause we should know that) And again tried to tell her there was no signs so we didn't know as she continued to say in a belittling tone to step away from the machine. There are alot of better ways to talk to a human being then to be such a "word I don't want to say on yelp"... my mom and me were in shock. We will never be back here again and will tell anyone we know needing a TSA pre check to not go to staples. That was a horrifying experience. I'm glad Tammy was able to rectify the situation and help my mom without making us feel like idiots. If there is something that is a potential security issue then it shouldn't be accessible to a customer out in the open. Maybe there should be a sign over the screen saying "DO NOT TOUCH". All I was told when I entered was the TSA was over by the desk. But to treat a customer like a piece of shit is crazy. Maybe retrain that woman on how to calmly speak to someone that doesn't know they aren't supposed to touch a screen. You have no right to treat someone that way or speak to them like they are doing something wrong when there are no signage stating otherwise. read more

I've always had great experiences, strictly with the copy/print area. I come out my way to do prints here. There is Office Depot by San Tan Mall, which is a few miles from me and half the time they're rude and impolite, which sucks for the employees that do a great job there. But I've never had any issues at this Staples location. It's always clean when I've gone in. The most important thing is, no one has ever been rude to me and they acknowledge customers here... Preston helped me transfer a picture from a Zip drive to a poster size picture complete with board backing and laminated. It turned out beautiful and so professionally done. I had gone to UPS earlier in the day and was told it could not be done for 4 days. I was so disappointed because we needed this poster of my mother to use for the front of the church at her out-of-state funeral in three days! Preston explained my choices and said it could be done in 24 hours. Then to my surprise it was completed by the end of his shift! He was there when we picked up the poster, showed us the end product and asked if we were satisfied. We are 100%. I had a horrible experience with a specific employee in the printing department, but still had to go back in the next day to pick up my project. The day before, I let her know how unhappy I was with her service, but she did not care to make things right or cared to listen. I had no intention of complaining the next day. Stopped in on Monday about 4:15 PM. Went over to the Print Dept. Two employees in which seemed to be busy assisting other customers. Store over all wasnt to bristly! I was approached by a sale associate and expressed I just needed a photo print done. I had the USB port & just wanted a photo copy 5X7 printed. He said " there is no way we can do it today, we are slammed & it will be at least 24 hours". I needed it quickly and so he proceeds to walk me over to the printer and said "you can do it quick here". I didn't want it on printed paper?! He was insistent that, that was the only option. Customer service is terrible! This employee came a crossed- rushed, stressed & abrupt! They lost my business & $$. I had planned to also purchase a Texas Instruments TI 82 Calculator that runs around $100 +. Since they weren't willing to provide me quality customer service and "blew me off", I walked over to Walmart & got my photo print done with assistance from their Photo Tech who also rung me up for the same calculator & matched Staples price! read more

This is my review for Staples for my Amazon return. It should be noted that I had been going to the UPS store for my Amazon returns for years. I was literally out of the UPS store in 5 minutes depending on how many people were waiting. Literally 5 minutes! Apparently Amazon has changed to Staples, so I thought I'd give them a try. I was on my lunch hour and a bit rushed for time, but that's really on me. There's a gentleman upfront who I thought was a greeter. He was up front on some sort of balancing board. Tall, dark hair, working at approximately 10:30 AM on Sunday, July 23rd. After finding the Amazon return desk, I casually looked over and he was standing on the balancing board on his phone. I must've waited a good 7-10 minutes for someone to help me. Turns out the guy who helped me was balancing board guy. I truly understand that most businesses are having trouble finding people willing to work. But I guess my issue is that UPS handled Amazon returns a lot more quickly and efficiently. I can't remember her name because she was so forgettable. It starts with a C... Carlin or something weird. Anyways, my biggest pet peeve is when employees of a business act annoyed when I'm at the register, as if me purchasing items doesn't keep their store open and pay their paycheck every month. If I had any trouble, he handed me the brochure that explained FREE technical support was available. NOT TRUE..4 hours later not installed and a call to FREE tech support was not valid. If you wanted tech support you needed to buy a support policy. Zack, store manager said they were not informed it wasnt free any longer, could not send anyone out to remedy the problem. This store is sprinting toward failure. Twice have gone on-line to specific store site, once to look for ergo-mouse and again for computer monitor. Each time it shows a nice special in the store. You go there and the display has the item and the great price. Oops, "none in stock," "can't order anything right now," and "can't check other stores for you," Oh, if we did call another store and they had it, "you would not want to pay the transfer fee." When asked why they advertise specials, especially there in the store on the darn shelf, for things they do not have, cannot order, and cannot help find, they had no answer. Be careful if you buy any food items from here. I was looking at the sale table by the cash register and notice some of the chocolate was expired. When I went to checkout and told the lady that the chocolate have been expired for a few months and she said "yeah, that's why it's on that table". The rebate program has gone down the drain ... I used to love purchasing my products at Staples, mostly, the great rebate program, you'd get a CHECK to cash ... then they switched to a VISA card ... THAT EXPIRES!! It does not even last a year!! I was trying to use it for other office items I need at Staples. So, it would last for a couple of months to a year. I stopped in at Staples today to shop for a laptop. I was unsure of which one I was going to purchase, and I had some questions to compare against my previous laptop. I asked one of the floor associates if he could answer those questions, and instead he interrupted me and started listing off all of the laptops he had available. I tried to ask him some questions about the one I was looking at, and he didn't let me finish. Instead he said that laptop wasn't available and they weren't getting them in soon, and that no one had laptops right now. Rather than listen to any spec questions I had, he was quick to interrupt and talk over me about how much he couldn't help me. When I started to leave, he wanted to argue about what he assumed I was there for. Extremely poor customer service. I will most definitely take my business somewhere that wants to help me. read more

I absolutely do not understand the negativity about the Chandler store printing services. The two young men and one young lady who typically work in the print center 1) know what they are doing and what their machines can do; 2) are invariably courteous and patient; and 3) are always willing to work with a university researcher who may not always know exactly what size, etc he needs. I think some customers need to "get a life", slow down, mellow out and don't be so critical of others.
