Went here on the advice of a local Idahoian (?), who swore up and down that THIS place is not to be missed. Well, I guess if you stay in Stanley longer than the time it takes to drive through it, it's hard to miss much of anything, but the crowd in and around this place is a dead giveaway. Folks, you have to (HAVE to) eat here if you come through. The crowd seemed to me to be a mix of locals and passers-through. Everyone seemed to be loving the break in weather, enjoying the sun and cool breeze while soaking in the truly amazing scenery around us. Therefore, we had to sit inside, which didn't even come CLOSE to bothering me. I could people watch all I wanted, and the huge windows did nothign to block the views of the surrounding mountains. I got the Patty Cake, with one (large!) oatmeal pancake, an egg cooked to order (over easy please!) and bacon (I'm on vacation, dangit). For someone like me, who is known for NOT finishing their plate, I ate the whole dang thing. Portion was perfect for me. My companion got something different, which I can not remember the name of. It had a slice of ham, covering a pile of griddled mashed potatoes, with some sourdough toast that had just been baked by Becky the night before. Also had eggs cooked to order. Everything was amazing, as promised. This place was awesome. Loved every bit, down to the nice quaint/funkadelic/homespun coffeeshop feel. If you drive through Stanley for any reason, do yourself a favor. No snackign on the drive, so you can finish your food, and GO GO GO to this bakery! read more

Staying at the Redfish Lodge, dropped down to Stanley (4-5 miles) for breakfast here. Very popular and very good breakfast. Came back the next morning for an encore. read more

Amazing food. Be prepared to wait in line even though the line moves pretty quickly. Great place to come in shorts and hangout.

Hands down the best breakfast we've ever had in the state of Idaho. We ordered the Migas, biscuit and gravy and a chai tea.

Wow! What a stop! I got here early before our river trip, hoping to snag some fresh breakfast. Everything was so fantastic. The cinnamon roll was absolutely decadent, and the migas were incredibly unique and delicious. Coffee and great and the order-at-the-counter style meant I could scarf down some grub and still make it back to my group on time. Highly recommend a visit here. read more

Great Breve and a tasty ham and cheese croissant. Great place!

The biscuits and gravy were a hit! Service was fast and friendly. All of the food was great and good coffee.

this is the kind of place that makes me dream.... of owning my own restaurant in an incredibly beautiful small town. the chilli was great too! read more

Best breakfast spot for a radius of 100 miles!! Can't be beat. If you don't stop here on your visit to the sawtooths, you're missing out.

Overrated, me thinks. We went here for breakfast based on yelp reviews and we were disappointed with a capital D. The migas for $10.25 was essentially nachos and cheese. A huge pile of tortilla chips covered with what tasted like canned enchilada sauce, cheese and two poached eggs. An hour later were were hungry again. Note to chef: a pile of potatoes under the sauce would have been way more tasty and filling. Maybe we order the 'wrong thing' but we shouldn't have to second guess like that. The pancakes drifting by looked good but so did the migas until we started eating it. On the bright side, the drip coffee was very, very good. read more

Great service, charming rustic setup, great hometown feel. Oatcakes are great as are all the veggie scrambles and omelet yes, really appreciate the hot sauces they keep around. It's a busy spot but busy for a reason- you haven't experienced Stanley or the middle fork with out breakfast at the bakery read more

Awesome fresh pastries and breakfast. The oatmeal pancakes were large and delicious. Dont worry if there is a line. It is worth the wait and it moved fairly quick!. read more

This place is amazing! I love the textures and the tastes. Not to mention the textures of the decor. Friendly staff. Good vibes.

Lovely range of breakfasts and good coffee, and bathrooms are welcome. Nice friendly staff.

Our little family stopped here for a late breakfast yesterday morning and what a gem of a place! The sourdough pancakes are awesome, the staff was very friendly and cool about the two kids splitting drinks and food. The lattes were delicious and the artwork amazing (photos new and old of the surrounding wilderness). I will definitely visit this place again and it will feel like coming home! Makes me happy that the firefighters this summer have this cool place to visit every once in a while, because they deserve it! read more

Scones taste like they are made pie dough (in a great way) and fresh fruit. Fantastic. Good Coffee

Had an excellent turkey, bacon and avocado on sourdough and it was excellent. Very fresh bread and side salad. You have to look for this place, but it seems like all of the locals have found it. I ran into someone in Ketchum who highly recommend it and it was a good call. read more

Best breakfast, hands down, that I've had in ten years. This is a can't miss place for anyone who visits Stanley from out of town.

If you are in Stanley you must stop here to eat breakfast or lunch! We had heard it was good and it was worth the wait in line! We had a delicious breakfast with their "Smashed Potatoes" eggs, ham, toast... and best of all an amazing cinnamon roll! The frosting had a fresh zing to it (citrus I think) to balance out the sweet bun. The service was very friendly and we enjoyed sitting outside in the summer air. A highlight of our stay in Stanley! read more

The food is delicious - as the line out the door and into the road would indicate. I've heard the place is always busy....but it's good.

This little café is absolutely awesome! I had the turkey brie grilled red onion cranberry chutney on vita bread, freshly baked! My hubby had the crag sandwich, egg bacon and cheese on a freshly ciabatta with home fries. He absolutely loved it! We got an almond bear claw and cream filled sugar buns for later. Good prices, especially considering the freshness of the ingredients, freshly baked breads and quantity. read more

Excellent breakfast. Had scrambled eggs with mashed patato and veggie patties. My son enjoyed the ciabatta egg sandwich; he is a picky eater. And the oatmeal pancake is to die for. read more

Hands down the best breakfast I have ever had from a restaurant. Oatmeal pancakes and biscuits and gravy were the BOMB! Everything from coffee to service, view to pastries, atmosphere to water, this place is the best whether it's before your day in the mountains or the drive home! I will be back as soon as I can make it! read more

The coffee they get from the Hailey coffee company is superb. I drank five cups the first day were were in Stanley. Today, I restrained myself to four cups. The Kaptain Caveman with two eggs, an out of this world sausage pattie, and their non-grain bread is one of the best breakfast dishes I ever had. My wife loves the pastries and the quino? dish with veggies and bread. I wish we had one of these in Austin, TX. This is the go to place in Stanley for breakfast. You will encounter a line in the morning, but it moves well and there's plenty of seating inside and out. read more

Line was extremely long. Food was somewhat above average- highlights were the pastries, especially cinnamon buns and scone. Coffee was not good read more

I have been coming here for years & just recently went up to Stanley to find they renovated this place quite a bit. The renovations took away some of the rustic grunge vibe the original place had and replaced it with more of a shabby chic type of look, which is slightly disappointing as I feel the old look had quite a bit more individual character. However, this renovation does not detract from the fact that this is an overall solid establishment. Their menu is so diverse it's hard to find something NOT to like. Wether you're looking for a classic eggs & bacon dish, a hearty biscuits and gravy, or a healthy vegetable-laden breakfast bowl, this place has it! Most recently I tried the "Bear Breakfast Bowl" which was full of flavorful, crisp, and perfectly sautéed veggies with an appropriate amount of brown rice and quinoa in the mix. The portions of everything are extremely generous and all dishes are a very fair price for what you get. Another favorite of mine is their pancakes. I cannot find pancakes like this anywhere else! They are buttery, soft, sweet and perfectly thin-- the perfect treat before a long hike into the mountains. Definitely stop by this place when you're in Stanley. They make very high quality food in a beautiful & bustling setting. read more

Gourmet food in Stanley, I'm shocked. Breakfast/lunch place. Kind of crunchy, but everything is very tasty.

Super surprised! Didn't expect exceptional food and baked goods in such a small town. The breakfast burrito is awesome! Get there early as the lines stretch out if the door (literally), but well worth the wait. read more

We stayed overnight in Stanley. The line was out the door for breakfast/coffee, so we figured we'd do some sightseeing and get some coffee on our way back through town. Well...we ended up passing back through at lunch time. The line was still long, but choices are limited so we got in line with everybody else. Lunch was FANTASTIC! The food was VERY good and the people were very nice. We will be back (and next time we'll invest the time for breakfast!) read more

I can honestly say this is the best breakfast place I have ever found. Been coming back year after year just for their oatmeal pancakes! I wish they would give up the recipe read more

This place is apparently no secret in stanley as midweek their was still a steady line throughout my meal, but the service was fast and the food/coffee amazing. I highly recommend. We had breakfast sandwiches that were so good. Really cute patio too. read more

I drive Over 2hrs just to eat breakfast here. Their Oatmeal Pancakes are by far the best breakfast plate I have ever had in my life; I mean that. If I could have one last breakfast meal, this would be the place I choose. read more

Oh my!!! This was one of the best breakfasts ever!!! Fresh, homemade, great service. We ordered the Patty Cake - homemade sourdough (huge) pancake, best sausage ever and an egg cooked as you like it. Service was stellar, friendly and anything you could wish for in a first rate, fresh food breakfast (they also serve lunch). If you're in Stanley, you're in for a treat if you go to Stanley Baking!! read more

Oatmeal pancakes are a must try!!! Great service, atmosphere not can go wrong eating there!

We had lunch here, but it looks like breakfast was the way to go. Excellent burger and the multi grain bread was perfect on the bacon/Turk/avocado. Lentil soup had cloves or cardamon in it which was no bueno for me but otherwise was fine. Unmatched scenery in Stanley. read more

I love me some gluten free options. They not only had yummy bread available, but they also had banana bread, pumpkin muffins and brownies. They also had kombucha on tap! Try to avoid the tourist and local rush, breakfast after 9am and lunch after 2pm were two great times to stop in. Remember to tip after you order because you pay and then get served your meal after they prepare it. read more

Yummmmy pastries & lattes. Definitely recommend this place. Had this chocolate glazed cream filled thing I couldn't pronounce- it was to die for. read more

We enjoyed our breakfast very much. What amazed us was the staff, how they worked in sync, and kept the customers flowing in and out the door. We've never observed a restaurant run in a similar fashion. Congrats to the owners and staff for running your restaurant in such a way to the benefit of your customers. read more

All I can say is wow. This place has it all. The food is amazing, healthy and varied. The atmosphere is great. Totally unexpected in little Stanley Idaho! read more

I've been frequenting this establishment for over 10 years. It's fantastic. I love it. Little details even down to the orange juice are a big deal. Super duper high quality. The sausage is awesome. The oatmeal pancakes are awesome. The eggs are awesome. And don't get me started on the scones and cinnamon rolls. Mmmmmm!!! read more
