Fun friendly place at the top of the mountain. It is more of a restaurant than a bakery. They are only open half the year. We went closing weekend in the middle of October and it was packed. read more

-closed Mid Oct to Early May- -sourdough and oatmeal pancakes are good. portions are large. -bacon is awesome. -hot cocoa is phenomenal. -only like 3 restaurants in stanley, this is the best for non-dinner. read more

Amazing, deliciousness and casual dining and coffee spot in gorgeous country! Worth the drive from Sun Valley to sit on the rustic porch and enjoy mugs of coffee with a late breakfast. The Quinoa Breakfast of two quinoa croquettes topped by perfect poached eggs and sauteed vegies was SUPERB - yep, capital letters GREAT! Friends gave us a nibble of the oatmeal pancakes which were a tad sweet in the best way, and had a nice crunchy chewiness. I'm going to look for another chance to go to the Stanley Bakery, but when oh when? A cross-country drive is great for exploring, and at the very least, making a list of the "go back" places. And for sure, this is one! read more

Fresh ingredients, good food, and beautiful views makes Stanley a must stop if you're in the red fish area. The bakery is a great place to enjoy baked goods and coffee or a full lunch. They also serve fresh kombucha, which can be hard to fine elsewhere in the town. If you're going to visit, make sure to double check the hours. They usually stop serving around 2, and by noon, many of the fresh baked goods may be sold out! read more

We chose blueberry peach scones, cinnamon rolls - one frosted, one not, a snicker doodle and cowboy cookie. All were delicious! read more

Stanley Baking - Delicious! - Bakeries Near Me - Stanley, Idaho

My fiance and I had breakfast here 3 days in a row. Not only was it one of the few choices we had for breakfast in Stanley but it was the best choice! The most memorable breakfast entree I had were oatmeal pancakes. I was apprehensive about my choice but my worries were all put to rest after my first bite. They were hearty, moist and a bit chewy. Try them! Their selection of sandwiches are worthy of a visit too if you're looking for lunch. During the summer months this place gets packed after 8am so get there early if you don't want to wait. read more

I honestly don't know what people see in the food here. It is average at best. I ordered the special of the day: Chorizo omlette. It was NOT good. But I ate it anyway and didn't complain because I was very hungry. No one in our group liked their meal much, so for taste I give this place a 1 out of 5 stars. That 1 star is for the homemade jam and people who work there. Do yourself a favor: buy some jam and go home and make your own meal. I think they are still in business due to lack of competition. After you order food at the cash register you get a playing card to take to your table and they bring you your food. Odd point: they don't bring you ANYTHING else. You are responsible for getting your own flatware, napkins, water (if you want it, which we did) from a counter by the cash register. Service was great. The girl who took our order was very nice and everyone who brought food or jam to our table was helpful and friendly. Food came out in a timely manner. We did not try any beverages/coffee here. maybe that is what keeps this business afloat? Or maybe it functions at a loss. read more

A must if you are in Stanley. Over the years this place has remained consistent in terms of quality, service, and cool factor. I have not had anything on the menu that I have not enjoyed. If you like the food here and are craving something special for dinner try the dinner at the Sawtooth Hotel. I believe the two establishments are either owned by the same person or the two are business partners. Either way the food and service at both establishments are A's in my book. read more

Wow, found a new tradition when we visit Stanley each summer. Must make time to visit this place. My wife and I with our 3 kids ages 19,15, and 9 were all very satisfied with the breakfast. Ordering before you find your seat can be a little intimidating in a busy place like this but don't fret. It is a very efficient way to serve more people. I don't know where everybody came from but there were more people in that restaurant than Stanley has permanent residents. Fantastic breakfast, with only the freshest ingredients, in a very relaxing environment. Great service from a very friendly staff. Did I mention that you should not miss a meal here? read more

I recommend the biscuits and gravy. I don't recommend the French toast. Come before noon if you want baked goods.

Super cute and eclectic decor! We ate there three mornings in a row. Highly recommend the Migas and the breakfast burrito with bacon!!! They serve an amazing homemade blackberry rhubarb jam that is also available for purchase. Sometimes there was a long line but once your food is ordered it comes up quickly and staff is always attentive. Clean bathrooms an added bonus! read more

Stanley Baking Co is one of those special places that make you feel like you're visiting an old friend that you haven't seen for ages. It's quirky, yet familiar. There is only one. You wonder what it's been up to in the wilderness for the past few years. It's wonderful catching up with an old friend. Dinner was fantastic. They had the perfect choices for my large group with varying palates. The vegetarian was happy. The food allergist was happy. Dessert was to die for. They had Schnitzel! Sure Stanley doesn't have many dining options, but SBC would be frequented by me in even the busiest of cities. read more

...notably parked around the restaurant are Lexus', Mercedes', Range Rovers and the odd exotic awaiting their comforted owners...up from Ketchum/Sun Valley to dine amid the stunning Sawtooth range...many drive the hour or so simply to enjoy the journey and have a truly bang up meal...everything is wonderful...so, whether you are on your horse or chillin' in plush corinthian leather tie your steed to the rail and head on in... read more

Wow!! The fruit in my granola/yogurt breakfast was so fresh I can't even explain how good it was. The granola is a special house blend that I wish they sold to take home. And the cinnamon rolls? Out of this world!! I haven't said much but what I ate (oh yeah the mocha they made was perfect, too) but all of it was SO damn good that I am at a loss for words. The staff are also very friendly, and the prices are right for the amount of food you get. So yummy. Eat here if you have a chance, you won't regret it and I will always remember it!! read more

The best bakery ANYWHERE. You just cannot go wrong with the bakery. The food is always amazing, fresh and flavors you cannot find elsewhere. The line may seem intimidating but it's worth the wait no questions asked. Time and becky, the owners, do a wonderful job and you can see them in there almost everyday working their tail off. I always look forward to being in Stanley just to go to the bakery every morning. read more

They have a winning combo of really good home cooked food, good service and a great location. If there is a line, it is worth the wait. Oatmeal pancakes are a delight every time, and their fresh bakes cinnamon rolls are not to be missed. The not traditional breakfast is also an option on their menu. This is a must when in the area of Stanley. Go enjoy what a breakfast should be. read more

Delicious breakfast and brunch, the oatmeal pancakes are a must try!

OMG. Love this place! Great food every time. Been here 3 times now over the last 3 years and it looks like they have expanded which is good because the place is always busy -- but it's worth the wait. Coffee is really good as well as the food. I had the Basque Scramble today and it was great! Good portion sizes too. Price is a little on the high end but not more than expected for good food in the middle of nowhere. read more

Hands down best breakfast we've had from here to San Diego. Sourdough pancakes are the best!

This place is actually pretty good! It was better than what I expected. I ordered the jack's badage. The oatmeal cakes were my favorite. I don't think it's 5 star worthy, but it was good. Not bad for a small town. read more
