Amazing, deliciousness and casual dining and coffee spot in gorgeous country! Worth the drive from Sun Valley to sit on the rustic porch and enjoy mugs of coffee with a late breakfast. The Quinoa Breakfast of two quinoa croquettes topped by perfect poached eggs and sauteed vegies was SUPERB - yep, capital letters GREAT! Friends gave us a nibble of the oatmeal pancakes which were a tad sweet in the best way, and had a nice crunchy chewiness. I'm going to look for another chance to go to the Stanley Bakery, but when oh when? A cross-country drive is great for exploring, and at the very least, making a list of the "go back" places. Great place to grab some lunch or breakfast. Stopped in about 30 mins. before they close (close at 2pm) and got a Reuben sandwich. Staff was very nice and the sandwich was awesome. If you're ever in Stanley, definitely give them a try. read more

My fiance and I had breakfast here 3 days in a row. Not only was it one of the few choices we had for breakfast in Stanley but it was the best choice! The most memorable breakfast entree I had were oatmeal pancakes. I was apprehensive about my choice but my worries were all put to rest after my first bite. They were hearty, moist and a bit chewy. Try them! Their selection of sandwiches are worthy of a visit too if you're looking for lunch. Wow!! The fruit in my granola/yogurt breakfast was so fresh I can't even explain how good it was. The granola is a special house blend that I wish they sold to take home. And the cinnamon rolls? Out of this world!! I haven't said much but what I ate (oh yeah the mocha they made was perfect, too) but all of it was SO damn good that I am at a loss for words. I happen to stumble upon this place as we made a day trip to Stanley in 2006. The sourdough pancakes are awesome. Went here on the advice of a local Idahoian (?), who swore up and down that THIS place is not to be missed. Well, I guess if you stay in Stanley longer than the time it takes to drive through it, it's hard to miss much of anything, but the crowd in and around this place is a dead giveaway. Folks, you have to (HAVE to) eat here if you come through. The crowd seemed to me to be a mix of locals and passers-through. Everyone seemed to be loving the break in weather, enjoying the sun and cool breeze while soaking in the truly amazing scenery around us. Therefore, we had to sit inside, which didn't even come CLOSE to bothering me. I could people watch all I wanted, and the huge windows did nothign to block the views of the surrounding mountains. I got the Patty Cake, with one (large!) oatmeal pancake, an egg cooked to order (over easy please!) and bacon (I'm on vacation, dangit). For someone like me, who is known for NOT finishing their plate, I ate the whole dang thing. Portion was perfect for me. My companion got something different, which I can not remember the name of. It had a slice of ham, covering a pile of griddled mashed potatoes, with some sourdough toast that had just been baked by Becky the night before. Also had eggs cooked to order. Everything was amazing, as promised. This place was awesome. Loved every bit, down to the nice quaint/funkadelic/homespun coffeeshop feel. If you drive through Stanley for any reason, do yourself a favor. No snackign on the drive, so you can finish your food, and GO GO GO to this bakery! read more

Wow! What a stop! I got here early before our river trip, hoping to snag some fresh breakfast. Everything was so fantastic. The cinnamon roll was absolutely decadent, and the migas were incredibly unique and delicious.
