Cute place, with nice workers. We stayed at one of the rooms associated with sawtooth and the thing that stood out the most were the people. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The food was also good! The day we ate here it started raining a little but we remained outside and had a really good burger with mushrooms on it. This is my second visit here. I decided to give it a second chance this season. The waitstaff always seems a bit annoyed to be working and pushy for you to leave. Last year I was going to get food but the server was rude off the bat so we didn't stay for more than a round. This time was definitely better, but I do think service could improve even further. A warm greeting goes a long way. I understand being a tourist town you just don't have to try as hard to make money because people will just go to what's open. Today, I got a burger and it was VERY good. I'm pretty picky about burgers so I usually don't order them but I was craving it today. The condiments could use a wipe down. It's not a huge deal, but sometimes it's gross to open a crusty Ketchum bottle. Overall, I might be back, but it would not necessarily be my first choice. Food: overall it's good. The baked goat cheese and big bird were awesome. The burger - meh. It was fine. Nothing to write home about. The service is a different matter. When we went inside it took forever to get sat with a bunch of open tables. Then three tables that ordered well after us got food first. Then today I tried to call in a to-go order. They told me they could do it, left the phone off the hook, and I waited for 19 minutes while I heard random people tell Mario to go clean tables. You sort of take what you can get in Stanley. Stopped in for a quick lunch here on our way to Red Fish lake. Service was friendly and efficient. We sat outside as we had our dogs with us and they had a watering station for the pups and a nice spread out area for everyone. The inside was decorated like a rustic cabin and it fit Stanley very well. We ordered a curry chickpea fan favorite and a burger. Both cooked well, served quickly and lots of flavor. Not friendly. Be prepared for a mandatory 20% tip automatically included in your bill. You don't get to reward service, you have to pay for it regardless so there isn't much incentive for them to be welcoming. We seemed to be putting them out when we arrived for lunch, even though they weren't very busy. There are only two restaurants in town so there isn't much choice, but next time we will be going to the Mountain Village Restaurant. If you want separate checks for your group, don't tell them you're together. Get your order, and then sit together. They absolutely refuse to accommodate splitting the check. It's up to you to pay each other. Overpriced, but that's not a surprise for this tourist dot on the map. You'd think they'd be more grateful that we spent $200 for lunch. read more

This place surely has a good burger! We came back twice on our way through the area and there's a diverse group of customers. It was a pleasant place to sit outside (no inside seating during covid) as they had a lot of space and umbrellas. Pros? Staff is friendly... some of them are new/ in training but even they did well... there's just a lot of turnover in a town that has seasonal jobs The Idaho kobe 1/2 burger is the way to go! It was way better than the 1/4 regular beef burger Their fries are thinner than I usually like but the fact they came out piping hot made up for that We didn't have a dinner salad but they looked giant and delicious Decent tap list Cons? We enjoyed this restaurant so much we came here twice during the last week. First off the food was excellent and perfect after a day outdoors. The staff was upper friendly and took excellent care of us. The outdoor seating was perfect for both of us and our two Labs. They even had a water station for the dogs. Sawtooth Luce's is a reasonable bar food restaurant with awesome burgers. My burger was cooked medium well as a standard and the patty was juicy and flavorful. Burger was definitely worth it. I didn't enjoy the goat cheese appetizer; $13 for a small amount of cheese and some garlic bread crackers was extremely poor value. Wouldn't get these again. The brownie was ok but nothing special, probably would also pass on this. The food took a bit of time to get out but I was still fine with it. Service was friendly and the facilities were nice. This is a rustic place with lots of outside seating and a good menu. We arrived near noon and it was moderately busy. I like that they have a quarter-pound burger on the menu instead of the huge 1/2 pound things everyone else serves now. It was well cooked with lots of stuff on it. We had dinner here with another family, so 9 of us. Easy to set up reservations and seating outside due to COVID. We had a very nice waitress with an English accent, she was very attentive to our large group that had several kids in it. They claim to be known for their burgers, so most of the group got them. They were very good, some of the best I have had at a restaurant. One kid got the chicken sandwich and exclaimed it was the best chicken sandwich he ever had! This one server was the rudest I have ever experienced at a restaurant. After paying my bill the server looked at the bill and complained and insulted me about the tip I left. He already was a rather ruder server and tired to push his political views on to me an my wife. Totally unprofessional and arrogant. I was offended so much I had to write this review. I told the manager and she didn't seem to care. I hope the rectify the servers attitude and professionalism. Totally un-acceptable. The server said he was from Long Island and bragged about being a ski bum. He tried to connect with me professionally and get my card. I tired to politely get out of the awkward convo after he tried fo convince me of his political views then get me to connect with his side business. Then when he saw my $5 tip on a $40 bill after that awkward and annoying treatment, and then he tired to insult me for it. I was totally flabbergasted. I felt offended all the drive home. My friends and I had lunch here today. We knew nothing of the restaurant when we pulled in the parking lot. It's a great little building with a nice open air dining area out back. The service and food were excellent. Probably the best Sloppy Joe I have ever eaten. My friends had the Tomato Bisque and the Bleu cheese Burger. Stopped in for lunch with my business partner. Chicken sandwich was nothing to rave about. Waiter was Morgan who was attentive and nice. I realized by the time we made it back to Ketchum (70 miles) that I had left my new Oakley sunglasses on the table. I called and talked to who I believe was Shawn, the other waiter, who assured me the sunglasses were found and safe. I asked that he put my name on them and I would be back to retrieve. Realizing I couldn't make it back there any time soon I called back and talked to Morgan and asked if I could send a prepaid envelope to send them back to me. Her comment was I don't know if there is a post office and how she would be able to do that. I asked that she check and call me back; which never happened. I called back and got the other server who said he was in transit to the location and would call me back. I explained the situation and he apologized for Morgan not calling me back. He said he checked and no sunglasses were to be found. Said he would check the owner's safe and get back to me; which he did not. I drove back to Stanley a couple days ago to figure out what was up. When I spoke to the same guy I spoke to over the phone, he told me no sunglasses. I made the comment of WTF, you have a thief in your ranks. He denied it and told me I should take better care and hold onto my sunglasses as to not lose them. To say the least, I was pissed. Sawtooth Luce's offers up fresh, solid fare in the middle of the town with reasonable prices and a pretty good beer/wine list. The sweet summer berry salad was huge and had massive blackberries and fresh strawberries, alongside crisp leaves. The burger was massive as well and pretty juicy, with a really hefty 1/2 lb. of patty. The skinny fries were crunchy and salty, and the finger steaks tender, crispy, yet still juicy. Entrees will run you $10-$15 and portions are generous. Nothing particularly mindblowing about this place but a great spot to grab a bite during lunch, sit outside and enjoy the views.
