Stopped in for dinner mid-week in late September. The restaurant was mostly empty but several customers came and went while we dined. You order at the counter. Cashier and servers were friendly. The restaurant has been in business since the 1930s! Simple decor, with a lodge feel. I enjoyed a draft beer from Payette Brewing Company and had the steel head trout for my entree. It came with grilled zucchini and yellow bell peppers. It was decent. The fries were great! My only complaint is there were a LOT of flies inside the restaurant. It was annoying having to swat them away continuously. It was chilly outside, so I'm not sure where they all came from, and I tried not to solve that puzzle. I'd add a star if it weren't for all the flies. read more

The wife and I enjoyed a Saturday evening dinner at the club. You order at the bar but the food is excellent. I had the best bison burger ever. Cooked perfectly with great flavor and presentation. The wife had the angus sliders with a spicy margarita. Best meal of our entire trip to Stanley Idaho. Nice vibe and no doubt fun at 10pm when the live band plays. The food was way too expensive for what we got. $14 for a quesadilla with no sides and very little veggies or meat. Also a side salad for $8 was very disappointing. There are not many choices in Stanley but please take pride in your food. read more

We have been regulars at the Kasino Klub for years and NEVER have experienced a disappointing meal, this last weekend was no different. Annually our son has a birthday (shocker) and this year, like the last 4 years, he wanted to have his birthday dinner at the K-Klub. John and Shauna made a point to spoil our son more than normal, which is hard to do, so we are so appreciative. Now lets talk facts about this place.... LOCATION - Located in the heart of Stanley on a gravel, sometimes snow covered, road. This place has been there longer than I have been alive. It is one of the very few restaurants in Stanley that are open year round, except for a couple of weeks when they do interior refresh work. I am sure the building is on some historic preservation list somewhere and we are amazed every time we really take a good look at it inside and out. FOOD - This is a local favorite, what does that tell you? The fact is that this place serves better food than some of the high end restaurants around the country I enjoy for a much better price. You really cannot go wrong with anything but the Flank Steak specials are always my favorite and my wife who can be very picky and judgmental, loves the pasta dishes. The vegetables are always fresh, the loaf of sourdough bread always hot and soft and the salad bar is on par with Sizzler but without all the nonsense. BAR - Want a stiff drink, occasional live band and a chance to meet a new friend or two, look no further. STAFF - The owners live year round in this town of 63 full time residents, give or take a few. Their reputation is all they have. The locals love how John just says it how it is - NO BS! If you are looking for a place where your server wears a bow tie and kisses your butt, keep driving on by. If your looking for folks who get to know you, your family and friends, then you found it. You can usually find John serving while Shauna is cooking up a storm of awesomeness in the kitchen. FINAL THOUGHTS - I was not paid off to write this review in any way and I expect nothing in return. I am however a restaurant owner in the Boise area with my wife and we know good people and good food and we love the K-Klub and what they stand for. Our friends and family request that we hit up that "one place with the Yankees fan who serves up a hell of a meal" every time we are in beautiful Stanley, Idaho. This place has new owners (just re-opened this summer) and as much as I loved the old K-Club, the clean-up/update is a good change! The menu is now much more (very tasty) bar/pub style which is great for families w/ kids AND the later night band goers. We had killer chicken wings and a bison burger. The new bar looks awesome & the bartenders poured everything right and are true Stanley characters! The real gems are the big outdoor patio w/ Cornhole etc AND the huge amount of live music which the new owners are so passionate about! I "liked" them on FB so I can see which bands are coming. :-) read more

**non-food bar review** Five stars for a small town dive. The place is pretty big inside and includes a pool table, shuffleboard, fireplace, bar area and a stage for live music. Just a wonderful find on dirt road deep behind the Sawtooths. Prime rib and fresh salads. Wines and quirky great service.

I absolutely am impressed beyond! The food here is utterly amazing! Super fresh ingredients and top notch meats and Idaho trout to die for. I went to a number of places in town and no one comes close. Sea salt at bar and Himalayan at our table tells you just about all you need to know about the care they take in every thing they do. Jim, Karin, Ziggy and Shea are the family that owns and runs this establishment. The live music, dancing and great drinks are a nice bonus. read more

The service was excellent and the drinks were strong and prompt. The views form the outside deck are spectacular! No better place to watch one of the many amazing bands that play here! I loved the renovated Kasino Club! This is a family friendly restaurant, bar, and music venue. The place is clean and the new owners have built a beautiful outdoor patio looking out over the sawtooth mountains. I enjoyed the food service very much and the employees are kind and helpful. The food prices are very good considering all of the food they serve is locally grown and organic! Its so refreshing to have healthy food in Stanley. the menu ranges from southwestern style foods to a variety of specials that were unbelievable. I would bring my whole family back here knowing they would love the atmosphere, games, music, food, and views! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have a special mountain town experience. read more

A neat little place in the bucolic wilderness of Stanley, with a pretty decent selection of entrees for a town with a population of just 63. The Chicken and Shrimp with Béarnaise were very tasty as was the onion soup with Gorgonzola. The salmon looked rather tasty as well. They don't skimp on their baked potatoes either. For whatever reason they have a serious beef with dogs as their strict "no dog" signage outside indicates, while ironically their inside walls are adorned with pictures of dogs, and also pictures showcasing the owner's love affair with the New York Yankees. Anyway worth trying out next time you're in Stanley without your dog. read more

We have been to this establishment many times over the years for drinks and live music, but we had never eaten here before. We had dinner at the K Club on two separate nights during our stay in Stanley for the 2015 Winterfest, and both nights we had fabulous meals! A wonderful ribeye and shrimp the first night, and fabulous prime rib and shrimp the second. Fresh salad bar selections as well. The owners, John and Shauna, are great hosts! From a bar standpoint, this place is our very favorite in Stanley. Great live music and drink specials. We will return again and again! read more

Stopped by and had a Bison Burger and my wife had the Falafel. Kids loved it and played bubble hockey. Great beer selection, even wine on tap. Can't wait to go back some evening and see some live music by the fire pit. Nice people, cozy place, and a good place to relax. read more

Really delicious prime rib dinner, I am not sure if this is normally on the menu. It was the 4th of July and nothing says "Happy Birthday America" quite like 10oz of prime rib. It was prepared perfectly and neither the included jus and horseradish were overwhelming the pure flavor of the juicy cut of meat. The selection here was very good, but it was a let-down that the salmon was not locally or at least near-locally sourced. Overall the ambiance was very laid back and has a western flair but the prices are somewhat high. read more

I read a review from John P from 9 days ago which was scathingly negative on this place so I walked in with a lot of trepidation. We were very pleasantly surprised, the place was busy on a Monday, we received a friendly greeting and seated without delay. The menu was as expected and the day specials looked interesting. I ordered the baby back ribs from the special menu and Karen the grilled shrimp. All entrees come with either salad bar or soup, we opted for one of each. With a big juicy corn and potato side we were more than satisfied with our meal. read more

We went in a few days ago and none of the employees were wearing masks or observing any kind of social distancing so we left. Disappointing. The Kasino Club was a lot of fun. I enjoyed sampling some of the cool micro-brews they had at the bar. The locals and the staff were friendly. The food was a little on pricey side for rural Idaho but it was also very good. So the price was worth it. My only complaint is that they misspelled Casino on the sign out front. For some reason it is painful for me to go into businesses that use Ks in place of Cs. read more

We always love having dinner at the Kasino on our annual camping trips to the Stanley / Sawtooth area. Great dinners (prime rib, the Black & Blue, the roast duck with mountain berry Cabernet sauce) and great drinks. The Hanoi Flank Steak is new, I think, with an outstanding marinade. Very good salad bar with a wide selection. Lots of baseball mementos in the bar, including signed DiMaggio and Maris balls. Great fine dining in the Sawtooths! read more

The "K Club" is a must stop at in Stanley. Whether you're wanting a good meal, live music or the best bar in town they have it. John and Shawna work so hard for everyone to enjoy their place it's awesome. Not to mention their staff is the same year after year. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. This is the worst restaurant ever. The owner was so rude that he made my son break down in tears. The rib eye was a 1/2 inch over cooked (ordered medium rare) slab of fat. The black and blue was simply awful. Same thing... Over cooked and mostly fat. This restaurant simply does not care about anything because they are one of the only games In Stanley. By some chips at the gas station and leave or try another place inn Stanley. I can't describe how awful and traumatic our experience at this place was. DO NOT EAT OR DRINK THERE. read more
