    Creamy mashed potatoes
    Jamie S.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner here at the Stanley Supper Club. The lamb terrine was flavorful but it wasn't too over the top lamb-tasting for folks who may not have tried lamb, or it's not their fave protein. Hubby liked the smoked whitefish and said he would have it again. The house-made and baked sourdough was delish and we took a half loaf home to enjoy tomorrow. The sausage charcuterie board was great. The highlight for us was the house-made bacon which had a great spiciness. The bratwurst was really good paired with the house mustard, and the kielbasa was good as well, although not our fave. We just preferred the brat and bacon. We shared the fried chicken for two and it didn't disappoint. The coating was crunchy and well-seasoned. It did fall off, but if you held tightly, you could get a great bite of both the breading and the moist chicken beneath. They served three sauces with it which were all complimentary and offered a choice for everyone. The mashed potatoes were reminiscent of those we've had at a few fine dining establishments such as Joel Robuchon, (although these fell short of that, they were quite tasty and deserved of their own accolades). The shaved broccoli salad was the hit of the meal. It delivered on all taste elements. The ambiance reminded us of a cozy Bavarian restaurant. There was lots of wood, cozy tables and chalet-style decor. All that was missing may be a cheese fondue. I wouldn't be surprised if they offered that in the winter season. The prices were very reasonable and could fit almost any dining budget depending upon the menu selection. A rare find anywhere, but especially in such a small town. Don't miss this special place if you're in Stanley or the surrounding area. It's worth a visit just to grab a loaf of bread for your trail sandwiches.

Amazing food. Best fried chicken I've ever had. This is our second time coming to this restaurant and even though the food is truly incredible the service is so so bad. They will make you feel like they are annoyed and upset that you stopped by to eat (Even with reservations) The food is worth the terrible service though lol

Fried chicken for two Daily pasta special (ravioli with oyster mushrooms)

We need to make mental note to make reservations in advance - especially on a holiday weekend. Despite such, Stanley, supper club was accommodating and was able to take us on a walk in basis. I know others weren't as lucky. Lucky because the food was amazing. The staff were kind in the establishment felt so curated and intentional, beautiful ambience. We came in here, hungry, and left very satisfied. Between my boyfriend and myself, we ordered the fried chicken for two of which comes with a quarter of sourdough slices and a salad in addition to the chicken and sides. We had the blackberry salad and it was absolutely delicious. The fruit was so fresh, which I really appreciated after a surprisingly hot day. The sourdough certainly better than my own loaf. I say this humbly because I thought me and my starter were the best. We also split a daily pasta. I really appreciate the different sizing options that allows to try more while not breaking the bank. What I think was a stand out was the house made Earl Grey tea and blackberry iced tea. I miss it so much. It was absolutely delicious and I really wanted to take it to go cup. Would recommend everyone sample it. For the fried chicken, I appreciated the diversification of dipping sauces. Each one was so unique and felt like a completely different experience. Although I would say we progressively got messier and messier as we eat the rest of the chicken mostly because the establishment was so nice we didn't want to get too messy. Since we sat at the bar, they had cakes on display for dessert and it was so tempting not to just eat it right there. However, we were inspired to grab a slice of each so we can enjoy it and watch sunset over the sawtooth. We initially came to Stanley in January when everything was closed and I'm so glad we made the return trip back so we could try places like the Stanley supper club.

Best fried chicken I've ever had in my entire life. Service fantastic. Ambiance was cozy.

A wonderful dining experience on our first night in Stanley. Reservations recommended but not required. Friendly staff and a casual, but upscale atmosphere. Sit at the bar, at tables inside, or outdoors. We split the fried chicken for two, which came with turnips and mashed potatoes, and a plum salad. It was all very good. The sausage plate had two different types of sausages with pickles and mustard. The bread was delicious with salted butter. Great date night spot.

My girlfriend & I drove in from Boise here to celebrate our anniversary and we couldn't have picked a better place to have dinner. Best dining experience I've had here in Idaho. The menu, layout, even the table-wear is thoughtfully curated down to every detail and it really shows. Incredibly creative usage of ingredients... hazelnuts, acorn squash, pickled fennel, etc. Food was amazing, service timing was perfect, wine list was good, and the overall layout & lighting made this dinner feel special. Glass of wine, appetizer, dinner, coffee & dessert. Awesome experience!

When you first walkup to the hotel, you are met with a very rustic, cabin-esque hotel building where you wouldn't expect to find such a fine dining experience. We were sat outside which presented the opportunity to enjoy a breathtaking view of the Sawtooth Mountain range. We ordered several dishes for our meal and every dish was just as amazing as the other! Bigwood Baguette: This was a great start to the meal! The baguette was baked to perfection and had the perfect amount of crunch to it. It comes topped with an herb oil and sea salt which added the most flavorful touch. Soup of the Day: Their soup of the day was a White Bean stew topped with rosemary and hern olive oil. The stew was rich without being too heavy and the seasoning was perfect. Soy Glazed Brussels: The soy sweet chili glaze had such a nice balance of sweetness and the slightest hint of spice. The crispy rice noodles and crumbled peanuts added such a nice textural contrast to the Brussel sprouts, which in my opinion were cooked to perfection! They were seared well without being too burnt or crispy. Beets & Burrata: Hands down one of the highlights of the whole meal. This dish came with a handful of components, that when paired together into one bite on a crostini, resulted in the most delicious amuse-bouche. The burrata was so light and fresh and I never knew that it was the perfect pairing with beets on a crostini. A MUST have. Columbia River Grilled Steelhead: Absolutely stunning. The Steelhead was executed beautifully and the mushroom asparagus risotto was cooked to perfection. Honestly, compliments to the chef for what seemed to almost be an experimental pairing with adding the sweet pesto and blueberry gastrique. Never could have I imagined these flavors being paired together atop a piece of salmon and I will not ever soon forget how flawless this dish was. Pork Schnitzel: This was my husband's dish which I did not have a bite of, but from what I could tell, the Pork Schnitzel was very well done. It was thinned out and tenderized very well and the breading looked like it was golden-crisped wonderfully. I did get to try the mashed potatoes and can remark that they were some of the best I've had! I had some of the lemon caper beurre blanc that was drizzled atop the dish and I would do anything to be able to have a jar of that at home. I am going to talk about this meal for a long time. If you are ever passing through Stanley, Idaho, it would be a giant mistake to not visit the restaurant at the Sawtooth Hotel.

The portions were generous, the pretzel was soooo good and guys, PLEASE save room for a slice of their almond cake, when I tell you it was delicious, that's an understatement. Now let's talk service- they were busy, but so attentive, gave great recommendations on their favorites and were so great with service. The place itself is on Main Street surrounded by cute little shops, a beautiful park and the river. The inside isn't super big, but they do have patio seating as well (that is dog friendly).
