Great meals! The best BBQ and smocked meet I found !!! I especially love their Cobb Salads with your choice of meats added!!!

Had dinner there tonight. Had a Brisket Dip Sandwich. Best Brisket in the area. Going back in a couple of weeks.

Worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant! Outdoor dining wasn't an option as it seems the restaurant is understaffed, so I can understand that decision. However, I don't enjoy eating out and paying higher prices for a place that was a dog park. One of the servers had her dog at work, going in and out of the kitchen. Plus, two different tables brought in what one can only assume were emotional support animals. The server's dog had the run of the place and it caused the other dogs to bark loudly during our entire meal. Outdoor dining might have helped fix this problem if people with dogs were restricted to outdoor seating. Hopefully this might be considered by management in the future. The food was decent - but with a dog allowed in the kitchen, who really knows what is going into the food. I get that it is the only dinner option in New Meadows that isn't fast food, but we won't be going back again. I will say, all the families with children tonight shown brightly for having such respectful manners. I certainly hope the dog owners realize their ANIMALS should be left at home when visiting or working at indoor restaurants. read more

Wow got treated terrible. Went in with birthday gifts. New waitress in blue dress wouldn't even acknowledge us. Sat for 15 minutes couldn't get service. We are locals and come here regularly. What an amazing place! The old west atmosphere was great and the service even better. I had the smoked meatloaf sandwich with onion rings. A hidden gem in New Meadows. We went a couple times while in the area. The brisket dip and pastrami sandwiches are excellent as everything else we had. Great service! Carol was fun. Well that was a fun discovery! Just out doing some geocaching through the area and looking for lunch. Discovered this with BBQ and thought I'd give it a try. It's lunch so I don't eat heavy but I sure enjoyed my Cobb salad with pulled pork. What made it excellent though was the sauce. Both the sticky sauce and mustard BBQ were fantastic. Myself and my two other friends , ( women, ages 68 and 69 ) went to lunch at the Intersection. We were seated by one waitress and a second came after a while and asked if we had been helped yet. We said no, just seated. She seemed very confused and asked if we seated ourselves, we said, no the gal said she would be back to take our drink orders. She went ahead and asked for our orders. Simple, 3 iced teas, sweetner and a straw. She returned with two ice teas, no straw no sweetner. Asked again for that she returned with no straw. She wanted our food orders so we gave it and again was asked for a straw and my friend also asked for her tea. The gal told her she did jot ask for one. Ok, so maybe she didnt hear the first time. She returned with her tea and finally a straw. We are chatting with each other and she returnes, stands at the end of the table and I. A loud voice says, "I don't expect a tip and I am a veteran and was also a nurse for 21 years. " she continued to speak very loudly and said that we were the rudest people she had ever come across and that it is not easy being in food service and since the moment we sat down we were arrogant and rude . She said the worst she had ever encountered. We sat staring at her with our mouths hanging open. She said she ownes the place and then repeated that she was a veteran and used to be a nurse. She ended with she knows she won't get a tip. Now mind you, we have not spoken a word during this time as we were shocked over what she was saying. Also all the tables around us were staring and heard the entire rant. She left us alone. We looked at each other, each pulled out a $5 , left that on the table and walked out. We were not rude, nor arrogant and we were publicly embarrassed. I nor my friends and our families will never step foot in that place again as long as she ownes it. Too bad also because the food is generally good and we were looking forward to a good lunch. To her I would say, that being a veteran and a nurse and the owner does not giver her the right to speak to anyone like she did and if she continues like this she will have no business to run. We went to McCall and had a very nice lunch. read more

We were just passing through town and stumbled upon this place. The nicest people ever! The food was all really fresh and great tasting. Oh my stars, the brisket!!! I went to the Intersection today after working at the food bank. I always enjoy it. I had a simple meal, the cup of brisket soup and the coconut shrimp,. Just outstanding. With the new owners, they have introduced daily soups and specials. They are so good. As a resident of New Meadows, I really appreciate what they are doing. A group of 9 of us stopped by during a road trip. The interior was clean and plenty of seats. The service staff was very nice. The bar area was classic and had a good look. The food we ordered was a mix of burgers, the dip, pulled pork and various sides. All items were very good. No issues at all. They also supplied 3 or 4 different BBQ sauces. The BBQ meats we ordered were done to perfection. Brisket was not too fatty with just a thin layer of fat for flavor and very tender. Ribs were juicy and tender but not falling off the bone, the meat still had a nice bite but not chewy. Chicken was perfect, tender and flavorful. The sides were all good, except the corn bread, which was a bit sweet and had more of a cake consistency than traditional corn bread. Prices were reasonable for the serving size. Sat at a table for over an hour without any acknowledgement from the waitress, when we put our hand up for menus the waitress shook her head no at us. Very rude and very disgusted. We will never be back to this establishment. We have lived in New Meadows for over 30 years and to be treated the way we did at our local restaurant was absolutely ridiculous. It had avocado, loads of bacon bits, hard boiled egg, tomatoes and onions. They make their own ranch dressing so it is thick and deliciously dilly! My bf got the bbq club with sweet potato waffle fries. It came with tri tip, pulled pork, lettuce, tomato and chipotle mayo. The meat was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy! We made the choice to travel the short distance to The Intersection BBQ, where we ate outside while listening to some excellent country music performed by a local singer. Okay, moving on to the food. Although it took some time for them to bring it to us, the wait was worthwhile. The brisket and bacon sandwich that my daughter had was amazing; the brisket was incredibly tasty and tender, and the bacon only enhanced the flavor.
