Passing through Cascade for the night, my wife and I were craving something local--but with standout flavor. Palooza did NOT disappoint. We rolled in on a Friday night after battling the Boise traffic, and were greeted and seated right away. That's when we met Jeff, it felt like reconnecting with an old friend. Friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the menu. At his suggestion, we both ordered the grilled peach, prosciutto, burrata, and honey sandwich. I mean... who doesn't love the magic of sweet seasonal peaches, salty prosciutto, creamy burrata, and a honey drizzle to bring it all together? HOLY $#!+--it was next-level good. We were so glad we didn't split one! And the homemade potato chips? Crispy, perfectly salted, and absolutely addictive. Another treat you won't want to share--but probably should (if you're feeling generous). We finished with the warm salted chocolate chip cookie and ice cream. That perfect hit of salt elevated the rich, melty chocolate in all the right ways. It was the kind of dessert you don't want to share--but somehow still do. If you're anywhere near Cascade and want real food made by people who get how flavors should work together--GO HERE. You'll leave full, happy, and already planning your return.

Warm and welcoming staff. Great ambiance, nice and clean building with cool art deco, also a nice big inviting bar to sit at if you'd like.

This place is a hidden gem! 5 star food and 5 star presentation! Awesome service too! The ambiance is great!

Rueben with truffle fries. Not very many fries included. Bummer because I love me some fries.

The food was good. The place is well spaced out and decorated nicely. The service was slow from wait staff to food getting out. The owner and cook put good effort into this place though and are willing to work at the establishment. Always a plus in my book. Overall 4 stars. Could be a star 5 if portions were a little larger for the cost or cost is just slightly less for the amount. Overall, I'd go back and try it again on occasion.

A superb espresso that was gone in no time!

You need to go here and have a Rueben! I've eaten Ruben's across the country and the food here is so far above anything else! The ambience, service, etc is top shelf. I also had an espresso that was perfection. The owner is such a nice, down to earth guy. We definitely enjoyed this lunch!

We love Palooza! Our son can't get enough of the buttered noodles and pretzels. The food is outstanding for such a little town.

I ordered the salmon dinner, which came with soup and two sides. The cheddar broccoli soup was surprisingly good, and the salmon was cooked well and had a nice amount of seasoning. There was a small mix-up with one of my sides. I had originally wanted vegetables, but potato wedges came out instead. The staff handled it quickly and brought me a side of vegetables without any hassle. That level of service definitely earned them an extra star. The portions were generous for the price, and the lake views are nice -- though next time I'll probably sit outside and enjoy them even more. Overall, good food, good service, and a solid spot to eat in Cascade. I'd happily come back.

The place was very busy, and there was a wait. However, their system for handling new arrivals was disorganized. An older woman stood at a counter, and everyone lined up behind her. But, she never said anything, chatting with an employee, and no employees took charge. I walked to a register and was given a buzzer. Other people came after us, and also lined up behind this woman. Confusing and annoying. We waited about 15-20 minutes, and were seated. This was the only part of our experience that was good; a view of the lake. We waited close to 10 minutes, and our server came over, a young woman named Kiley. All of the servers were hustling, and I suspect they had too many tables. So, while she was doing her best, we received only average service. My wife being the generous, compassionate person that she is, we still tipped her 20%. The food was the worst part. We both had the surf and turf, an 8 oz sirloin steak and four jumbo shrimp. It comes with soup or salad (we chose salad) and two sides (we had a baked potato and fruit. Our salad and entree came out at the same time, which is a first world problem. Still, salads usually come out first and I prefer it that way. The baked potato was good, as was the salad. On the other hand, I was looking forward to grilled shrimp and these were breaded. Bummer. The fruit was like a canned fruit cocktail. Really? And the absolute worst: the steak. We asked for medium. It was dry, tough, and chewy. Essentially inedible, though I tried, but ultimately left a good portion uneaten. My wife did the same. This was the fourth place we ate at since arriving yesterday morning, and the only true disappointment. I'm not counting the hotel breakfast because you know what those complimentary breakfasts are like. No high expectations there. It is very possible that on a different day we might get good food and service. But, we'll never know.

Place isn't large but tables were open, though it filled before we left. There was one server and 2 in the back, so our waitress was busy. She did well, on service, though not overly attentive, but she was spread thin and we didn't suffer at all from a lack of attention. Menu was just the right size for size of the place and staff with Burgers, Sandwiches, Steak, and Pastas. Wife and I shared 3 items, French Onion Soup, Wedge Salad, and the Bacon Bison Burger with homemade chips. The burger was outstanding for $14, cooked right and flavorful, and the chips were a pleasant surprise. The Wedge , $13, was ample and tasty, though the very top of wedge had to be discarded and was obviously wilted. I'll state here, I fully understand Valley County should be graded on a slight curve, and lettuce is a tough one, but I'm sure cook noticed when cutting. Rest of lettuce was good. Rest of salad was also. Lastly the French Onion Soup was not great. Basically the onions were not cooked long and slow enough to develop flavor, heck they were firm. We will be eating here again, as the food and service overall was good and the location is nice and awful convenient. Prices was inline with what you get and for Valley County. Service was good, but I'm sure it could be a bit better with an extra server on busy nights, so they can have more time. I was surprised to see no real info on hotel site regarding restaurant or a link on their website so I'm not sure how many people know this is available while visiting Cascade.

We ordered drinks, and when our food arrived, we asked where they were. The bartender seemed confused, and after waiting even longer, we discovered our server had never even put the drink order in. To make matters worse later on I went toward the restroom area and saw the same server vaping on the stairs by the bathrooms. She had no issue blowing vape smoke right in our direction, despite us having our child with us. I understand this is a bar environment but professionalism still matters especially in a family resort setting. Unfortunately, this was a terrible experience from beginning to end.

Burgers are generally one of two kinds, A smoosh burger eschews vegetables and is lots of meat and cheese sometimes with grilled onions and bacon. The second type is a crunch burger with pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and onions, usually all cut on the thick side. Think of a very basic salad on a bun that they tossed a patty and cheese on almost as an afterthought, it crunches and makes noise as you eat it. I am definitely in the crunch burger camp, so weight everything else accordingly. This is definitely a smoosh burger place, their main burger, available in single, double or cripple, is meat, cheese, and bacon forward. I asked for pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and onions on mine and the cook is obviously not a crunch burger fan as they were there but sparse. Lettuce is shredded, onions are thinly cut. This said, I did notice something, there was essentially zero Mallard Reaction on the patties. If you do steak, pretty much any meat, Mallard Reaction is when the surface browns and you develop that wonderful flavor. This would have ben a much better smoosh burger with that sear on it. The french fries are closer to what anyone who has traveled to Europe would call Frites... this is a VERY good thing! Not sure how they prep their fries here, but frites are typically half fried, pulled out, go back in the freezer, and are finished later. This given a very crisp exterior, but a center that is very soft and moist, delightful! I have never met a person that dislikes fries like this. This method also leaves the little surface bumps as seen in the picture. So... Good smosh burger but maybe ask for it well done so you get the browning Just okay when turned into a crunch burger unless you are very clear about wanting lots of veggies. Heavenly fries (frites) Yes they have fry sauce, its to the left of the counter in the mini fridge Coke beverages Yes I will be back... for anther try at a crunch burger!
