Delicious food and service we stopped there for lunch on our way to McCall. We had a few out of town family members with us. We had the pulled pork and steak sandwiches. Perfect meal. On the way back we stopped hoping for breakfast and they were not open yet. The owner (Sean I believe) saw us at the door let us in and made us mochas and cofffee and whipped up a yummy breakfast for us before opening time. It's always a pleasure to stop in here. Great food, good service, and a solid craft beer selection. The front of house was friendly and inviting. Asked about my day, and what I was up to with my weekend. I was waited on by a very nice young man. Great all around. If I can offer one piece of advice, stop yelling "Pickup,.... Pickup 2nd time" from the kitchen. It takes away from the nice environment and experience you've created. Not a lot of choices in Cascade when looking for a place to eat on the way through town, but we hit the jackpot when we found Palooza! The ribeye was 16 ounces of pure deliciousness, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The asparagus and truffled mashed potatoes were great as well. Wife had the cheesesteak sandwich, also amazing. Great choice of beers. We wanted to try their apple huckleberry cobbler but it wasn't available, so the waiter recommended their bread pudding. We loved it. Our son had the burger and finished off with the cast iron chocolate chip cookie a la mode while fighting us off for bites. Highly recommend this place and we will for sure keep it in mind whenever we find ourselves in Cascade. read more

Superb. Made us omelets. French dip epic. Coffee was killer. Bacon was lit. Best food in Cascade for sure, maybe all of Idaho.

This place is great, good vides, clean, and food selection has a bit of something for everyone. I have eaten there several times and would direct patrons away from the burgers... A bit lackluster... So we just don't go there for that! BUT the other dishes on the menu are great!! My latest meal was a delicious Kale salad with a Salmon add on. My dining guests had the Ruben and a Cascade Cheesesteak, both equally delicious! And the homemade soup (a tomato bacon bisque that day) was absolutely mouthwatering!!! Over priced and underwhelmed. We were greeted by a woman that seemed irritated to be seating us. This was our second time trying-our first was right after they opened and we chalked up the poor service and so so food to the fact that they just opened. So we thought we'd try again. BUT not the case! Same grumpy and horrible service and mediocre outrageously priced food. You can get a great burger and smiles for half the price just down the street. It's sad when someone comes into a small town and brings their toxicity with them. This restaurant does not exude small town friendliness. And from what I understand from the locals the owner is not a very nice person, constantly trying to get the other restaurants and bars in trouble by reporting them on made up accusations. The staff and owner were so accommodating. Wanted some items that were not on the menu- such as mimosas and they hand squeezed oranges for us. The food was amazing! Most of us had the special which consisted of prime rib French dip with rosemary au jus. Outstanding! Suggested by the owner, I had the sweet potatoes fries with maple aoli. OMG. They were so good with the dip. You have to try their fried pickles with salt and vinegar aoli. Another hit! Try this place - you will not regret it. read more

This place was great!!! In town for a fire and was looking for somewhere to get out of the rain. Found this place on here and decided to give it a shot! It was fantastic!!! Great decor and atmosphere. For dinner I got fried brussel sprouts with a delicious aioli, and a ruben with homemade chips. It was delicious. 10/10 will repeat next time I'm in town! read more

We recently had lunch here for the first time. They have an excellent selection of microbrew beers and the service was good. I had a brie burger which was good but unfortunately was just not really hot and the cheese hadn't melted. Others in our party had a black and blue burger and a beet salad both were pleased. I am only giving it 4 stars as it took quiet a while to get our food when there was almost no one else in the restaurant and the food was kind of luke warm. I've been in a few times, once for lunch and once for dinner. While it's definitely the best place in Cascade (mostly because it's clean and serves more than grease), it always leaves me a bit underwhelmed. The ahi tacos taste great, but had maybe 5 pieces of ahi for 15 pieces of wonton. The beet salad was drowning in dressing, the kale salad was just a bunch of kale, the ribs were boring. The menu and food could use some enlightenment. Service has been good. You might be greeted with a frown (like we were recently), but that frown quickly turned upside down, and they were attentive and accommodating. We'll be back. I think they are just new and need to work out a few kinks. PS- i feel bad for the turtles in the boring tank at the front desk. Every time I go in their little eyes beg me to lead a jail break. read more

I'm giving 5 star because I WANT this place to succeed and thrive, and they are well on their way. Cascade has had very few quality dining options for many years, and the few that exist have very limited hours (we love N Fork Cafe!). I stopped in here for a random lunch, and the joint completely exceeded my expectations and I was so pleasantly surprised and pleased to know that this is now an option for Cascade! They've got a great beer selection with local brews (keep the Broken Horn Jalepeno coming). And the menu looked great. I had the special BLT for the day, which was delicious but I would say add a dollar to the price and gimme one more layer of bacon Great place and a needed addition to Cascade's restaurant scene. Make it a point to stop by next time you're headed to or through Cascade. Great service, great food, great atmosphere, and great prices. Honestly, we've driven by this place for a couple years now and have never stopped by. Saturday we stopped by after going to the hot springs. We called ahead since we had 15 people, 8 of those kids between the ages of 9-5. They said if we were patient they'd happily serve us. The kids sat at one boothe and the adults at another. We ordered lots of drinks and food and everything was surprisingly delicious. We ordered, the artichoke hearts, fried pickles, fries, Brussel sprouts, falafel dish which everyone raves about, the burgers were good, the salmon and mushroom risotto was delicious. We'll all definitely go back. One kid ordered the butter noodles and the waitress, the cook, and her had a competition to see how long it would take for them to come out, 4 minutes btw. Through it all, we never felt hurried, unwanted and that was displayed by the playfulness, conversation and attentiveness of the staff. We feel bad we've missed out on this place for 2 years but now that we know, we'll visit soon and frequently. We won't always go with that large of a group though. read more

The service was great, but the food was marginal at best. Guys, it's a burger. If you don't know how to cook a medium burger, practice it. It's cheap. If you can't make a burger medium, then please don't ask how the guest wants their burger cooked. Also, put your fries drop on a timer. Any basic short order cook can tell if fries are overcooked by sight. Drop some fries at your fryer's standard temperature and time how long they need to cook properly. Then write down that time. And set a timer. For $17 a burger and fries should be a no-brainer. If you wouldn't eat a badly overcooked burger and fries that are dark brown, don't serve them that way. Last, if your burgers are significantly smaller than the buns, either get smaller buns and lower the price or make the patties bigger. Presentation matters. read more

I wanted to love this place, but sadly disappointed. First the good....lovely atmosphere, clean, and friendly service. My husband ordered a burger and fries, the fries were good, the bun on his burger was so dry it was falling apart and crumbly. I ordered one of the specials which was a New York steak, cheese mashed potatoes, and asparagus for $35.00. My steak was cooked to perfection (medium), but unfortunately it was so full of gristle, I had to keep spitting bites into my napkin. The few bites I had without gristle were good. The asparagus was very good, cooked tender crisp and had a good seasoning. The cheese mashed potatoes were not even edible. They tasted like instant potatoes that they tried to pass off as the real thing. It seemed like they made instant potatoes and then added some actual potatoes to the mix to give a smashed potato effect. The problem is the chunky pieces of potatoes were literally not cooked, my husband could hear the crunch of them when I chewed them. Needless to say for a total of $80.40 including tip, I left still hungry. I guess my 35.00 meal was about 5 bites of steak and 4 pieces of asparagus. read more

First, I want to start by saying that I don't do bad reviews, just not my style and had the owner been available I would've preferred to share my feedback personally, or at the least in a private message but neither of those are an option, so I digress. We really wanted to like this place and judging by the reviews I thought it would be a guarantee. When we walked in I thought it had potential, it's colorful, big and open but as I looked around I just felt disappointed, it's not a cozy place but you can tell they tried. The cook was friendly and said hello as we waited by the door, but then we were 'greeted' by a very unhappy looking woman who gave off the sense that she was annoyed by our presence, I literally thought maybe she's just having a bad day but it got worse as we sat down and realized she was our server. I then thought well, maybe she's working everyday and doesn't have enough help and if we're really nice she'll relax. Nope. I ordered a sample of beer but then decided I didn't want one, she never offered or asked if I wanted anything else, I had to ask for a glass of water once the food came. When I'm at a restaurant I always ask the server what their favorite is or what they would choose if I'm having trouble deciding between 2 options, when I did this she aggressively responded, hands waving about, "there is no way I can answer that! I eat here everyday and everything is good!" I felt like a scolded child, that I had asked a stupid question. When the food arrived the presentation was good but the food was underwhelming at best. My husband asked for hot sauce and she claimed there was none, weird... but then went onto scold us again for asking, I ordered the chipotle chicken which she said was covered in chipotle seasoning and spicy enough as well as what she claimed was very flavorful bbq sandwich for him. But unfortunately both were bland and unimpressive, and mine was not even remotely spicy. The housemade potato chips were tasty. My husband asked how my meal was half through and pointed out that she had not returned to our table to inquire herself or offer a refill, she did eventually but we were finished. It was 2:30 on a Monday, she was not busy. Customer service requires a certain type of personality, at the very least someone who actually likes interacting with other humans. I would say she is not cut out for this line of work. Sadly we may not return, normally we would give a place another shot before making this decision, and do believe overall we would've enjoyed our experience and our meal more had she just been friendly. read more
