    Nacho's

Liked the atmosphere. Cute little pub. We shared order of the nachos and a grilled cheese. The nachos were ok. The grilled cheese was mediocre. Fresh homemade bread but they didn't grill long enough to melt cheese. Fun spot to go have a beer. The server acted annoyed when we asked for silverware and napkins. Seems like a standard thing to bring out with food? Ok place for a quick bite and a beer but nothing special.

We haven't been to Cascade for a few years as we just moved back to the Treasure Valley. This awesome SOCIAL CLUB just opened a month ago. We Loved the VIBE... beautiful brick, cow hide seating, open window lounge space and nicely hand crafted cocktails. Joe the owner took our order and he was great! The food is made in house, they brought a local Cascade chef (I forgot which former restaurant he came from) and the cocktails taste as good as they look. This is such a nice addition to Cascade! There are nice clean bathroom, a secondary bar with entertainment TVs, 2 dart boards, and a private poker room with annual liquor lockers. They also do private events.

My husband and I had beautiful & delicious drinks and meal at North 55 Social a few nights ago. .

Joe and Stephanie did a beautiful job designing the restaurant. Michael presented us with artisan drinks. The food arrived and was lovely presentation besides tasting really good. Service was exceptional!

He went above and beyond with his service--attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great meal. Every recommendation he made was spot on. You can tell he really knows the menu and takes pride in what he does. We ordered the chicken plate, and it was absolutely delicious--perfectly cooked, flavorful, and one of those meals you keep talking about afterward. Between the incredible food and Alfred's exceptional service, this was easily one of the highlights of our time at Tamarack. If you're in the area, do not skip this place--you're truly missing out if you don't stop by. Highly recommend, and we'll definitely be back.

They have an empty restaurant at 4:30 and won't let you in. We watched so many people get turned away but we sat in the restaurant by ourselves from 4:30-5:45. It's a quiet, fine dining restaurant. Limited number of tables so book early if you want to go. Small bar to sit at. They have a kids menu with mac n cheese, chicken tenders, steak or butter noodles. Coke products. You can room charge if you're staying on site. Coat rack near hostess. Bathrooms down the hall near the market. Wine menu. Brunch on weekends.

I ordered the salmon dinner, which came with soup and two sides. The cheddar broccoli soup was surprisingly good, and the salmon was cooked well and had a nice amount of seasoning. There was a small mix-up with one of my sides. I had originally wanted vegetables, but potato wedges came out instead. The staff handled it quickly and brought me a side of vegetables without any hassle. That level of service definitely earned them an extra star. The portions were generous for the price, and the lake views are nice -- though next time I'll probably sit outside and enjoy them even more. Overall, good food, good service, and a solid spot to eat in Cascade. I'd happily come back.

The place was very busy, and there was a wait. However, their system for handling new arrivals was disorganized. An older woman stood at a counter, and everyone lined up behind her. But, she never said anything, chatting with an employee, and no employees took charge. I walked to a register and was given a buzzer. Other people came after us, and also lined up behind this woman. Confusing and annoying. We waited about 15-20 minutes, and were seated. This was the only part of our experience that was good; a view of the lake. We waited close to 10 minutes, and our server came over, a young woman named Kiley. All of the servers were hustling, and I suspect they had too many tables. So, while she was doing her best, we received only average service. My wife being the generous, compassionate person that she is, we still tipped her 20%. The food was the worst part. We both had the surf and turf, an 8 oz sirloin steak and four jumbo shrimp. It comes with soup or salad (we chose salad) and two sides (we had a baked potato and fruit. Our salad and entree came out at the same time, which is a first world problem. Still, salads usually come out first and I prefer it that way. The baked potato was good, as was the salad. On the other hand, I was looking forward to grilled shrimp and these were breaded. Bummer. The fruit was like a canned fruit cocktail. Really? And the absolute worst: the steak. We asked for medium. It was dry, tough, and chewy. Essentially inedible, though I tried, but ultimately left a good portion uneaten. My wife did the same. This was the fourth place we ate at since arriving yesterday morning, and the only true disappointment. I'm not counting the hotel breakfast because you know what those complimentary breakfasts are like. No high expectations there. It is very possible that on a different day we might get good food and service. But, we'll never know.

A speak easy in Boise! I was intrigued! The whole experience was so fun to share with a group of…read morefriends! We stood in the alley and knocked on the door. A small window in the door opened and we had to provide a password to gain entry. (Initially our large group had to reserve 3 time slots and we would be seated separately.) I was in the first group. We were let into a small area with floor to ceiling bookcases. Of course there was a book that once pulled, opened a secret door to the bar within. The ambiance was dim lighting and groups of comfortable seating areas. The waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable about the drinks on the menu. I started with a mocktail that could be made vegan by omitting the egg white. Beautifully presented with a flower design. It was sweet and it was tart. The second drink I got was a cocktail that was smooth with a perfect amount of sweet. My friends got cocktails in their unique glasses. When our next group came through, they were led into a room. After a while, one friend came out to say hello to us. The waiter noticed that we knew each other and told my group to follow him. The room was dimly lit and was furnished with comfortable armchairs and couches. Our third group was able to join us in the room and we were able to mingle seated or standing. The different drinks that were ordered were so cool. A smoky bubble was set on top of a cone shaped glass that resembled an ice cream cone. I had a couple of friends that ordered gin drinks and they were served in a bathtub complete with rubber ducky! This was such a fun and special way to celebrate a friend's birthday! The service was superb!

I've been to several speakeasies around the USA and Gatsby should be the standard of what a…read morespeakeasy should be. No really! Imagine yourself walking through the 8th St promenade in downtown Boise. It's hustling and bustling with people and restaurants that are packed. Then, out of the corner of your eye, you see an alley. It's kinda dark, maybe a little unsettling at first. You see a steel door with a small panel at the top of the door. No door handles but a green lit old stagecoach light, a small wooden sign hanging g just beyond the door with a key on it. Hmmm, strange. In faded sharpie letters it says Knock knock on the metal door, so you knock twice. The panel on the door slides open and they ask for the password. Whoa!!!! Luckily you called ahead to make reservations so they whispered it to you. You give the password and door opens to a tiny little library with a couple of shelves full of books. The hosts welcomes you and you stare at the bookshelf knowing it isn't just a bookshelf but a door. You try pulling on different books guessing which is the right one but after a minute the hostess shows you and you enter a beautiful brick walled 1920s decorated room with seats and dim lights and no windows whatsoever. The artwork is prohibition-era themed. Heck, there's even a stack of wooden barrels that supposedly hold spirits. That is exactly the speakeasy experience you are looking for. We were seated in the boiler room, a private area which had beautiful wooden lockers with glass doors all lit up and full of booze. Books line the wall and there is an old fireplace covered with candles that have melted wax all over the mantle. In the corner is a poker table. Really the perfect vibe for a speakeasy. Glance at the menu and notice their tang of cheaper to very rare and unique spirits, some costing hundreds of dollars for a shot. Whisky, vodka, rum, gin, scotch, bourbon, you name it. But also check out their cocktails. They can even make mocktails if you don't want alcohol. Not only are the drinks unique but so is their presentation. The glades used I've never seen. Some drinks have a printed pattern on them, others come with dry ice that quickly evaporates or a cool smoked filled bubble. The whole experience was just amazing. This is a do not miss opportunity if you like drinks and cool, unique experiences. They even have another room in the back called the Garrison Room which looks like a mineshaft. I just love the thought put into this place. And when you are done, you exit through a nondescript door and exits to a patio area of another restaurant and back out to the promenade. Just a wow experience! So glad I did it.

Weather was perfect for outside on the day we went, but could definitely be too hot in the middle of summer! Food was great and came out quick. We got burgers, tenders, salad and nachos. They have card games available to use, we played uno while waiting for our food, which we only played one game because the food came out so fast. Like others have mentioned, the service needs serious improvement. We had to tell our server when we wanted to order, my husband had to go in and ask for condiments, refills. Eventually, a server with blue hair came over, but her attitude and professionalism were lacking from the start leaning on the table while taking our order felt very inappropriate. We ordered drinks, and when our food arrived, we asked where they were. The bartender seemed confused, and after waiting even longer, we discovered our server had never even put the drink order in. To make matters worse later on I went toward the restroom area and saw the same server vaping on the stairs by the bathrooms. She had no issue blowing vape smoke right in our direction, despite us having our child with us. I understand this is a bar environment but professionalism still matters especially in a family resort setting. Unfortunately, this was a terrible experience from beginning to end.
