Pizza is fine. We got the 4 pigs and bbq chicken. It's thin crust just so you're aware. I thought it was fine. Nothing spectacular but not bad either. The cheesy garlic bread was a miss though. All of us had one bite and didn't eat any more. Heavy on the garlic with garlic chunks. And we didn't really like it. But can't put a finger on why we didn't like it. The atmosphere is awesome and low key, but not a lot of room to really sit (since it is a crowded place for us tourists). So we ordered it to go and just ate at our cabin. We tried to go earlier in the week and was told 1 hr wait to get our pizza and we left, made sure to call ahead the next time and it was another hour wait. Want pizza - this is the place to get it. The pizza was hot, the crust was nice and crisp. Which is great because they do not skimp on the toppings. We customized the Big Crusty's (no onions, and added some other stuff). The pizza came out loaded. It was delicious! We ate at the restaurant- smallish indoor space with a large outdoor patio. Oh my god! This place is fantastic. First- who cares about big ass speakers on the porch, they are inviting you in. They were playing The Grsteful Dead - so rock on! Second - the pizza is freaking delicious. The crust on this pizza is something I have never experienced. We had the Pesto chicken. To die for! (PM Dawn reference) Beer selection along with wine- top shelf. Third- the dude behind the counter run the show without the show. They get you what you need and let you be. Well, they were finally open today and it did not disappoint. We had a smokejumper with elk sausage, cranberries and jalapeños- amazing. The thin sourdough crust was awesome allowing you to savor the toppings instead of having a mouthful of dough!!! Service was amazing and we got our order within 15 to 20 minutes and we felt the price was reasonable for the type of pizza and being in a tourist spot... I didn't want normal on vacation.. I came here to leave a 5 star review and was shocked to see all the negative posts! One of the best and most authentic pizzas I've had in all of Idaho. The crust was a perfect thickness, enough to have some chew and be sturdy enough to hold all the quality toppings but thin enough I didn't get full on dough. We got the big crusty pizza for take out and it was still perfect when we got home. They recommended to keep the box lid open so crust stayed perfect and it did. I'm already looking forward to eating here on our next trip to McCall. The only downfall was the large pizza was about $30, but it was excellent quality and worth the money. read more

So I just had my first Crusty's Pizza. I read through the reviews and found it interesting how dissatisfied people that wrote bad reviews were unhappy with the thin crust. The reason I loved Crusty's was the thin crust. It was amazing. Reminded me of the pizza I had in Venice, Italy or Milan, Italy. If you want doughy thick gooey crust go somewhere else and save your criticism. Ambiance is funky, small and unique. The Pizza is the star. Horrible! Small dirty place. I like "quaint" but this is just old and dirty. Went into the restroom and the toilet was full of urine and seat up. Decided to just "let it go- we're on vacation." As we were waiting for our pizza (more on that in a second) I saw the guy making the dough in the kitchen grab some dough, roll it around in his hands, set it on the counter and THEN (this is the good part) put his hands in his pockets and grab the dough again. Ugh! #healthcodeviolation Husband was outside with kids at the time and because I was tired and hungry I again, just turned a head. We ordered 1 pizza and 1 beer and 1 lemonade in a bottle and the total was $40. Seemingly OK, until... Nearly 50 min later we STILL didn't have our 1 pizza. They were moderately busy-- a few tables (out of 8 or so total) empty. When asked about the pizza the 2nd time, the girl brought it out and rudely commented "just so you know the ticket said 7:25 and its 7:20 so technically it's earlier than expected." I remarked that I never head this time estimate and had I known I wouldn't question the wait "if it was written on the ticket, you were told." My husband, my son and I all did not hear this. She was so rude about it that the guy behind the counter ALSO had to comment on it to us. I guess when you're 16 you can say what you want to paying customers and you (being 16 and all-knowing) are always correct. I kept my mouth shut yet again. To top it off the pizza is horrible. It basically is a large pita chip with sauce and over cooked cheese on it. So thin, so tasteless. I would NEVER go back and would never recommends to anyone. read more
