We are visiting McCall and looking for a pizza option... there are a few to choose from. I am happy we picked Hometown Pizza. I've read posts about other items on the menu, this rating is just based on what we ordered - pizza! Pros - great pizza! We order a large cheese and pineapple pizza for 3 kids. A medium 1/2 garden & 1/2 combo for two adults. The garden was delicious (great flavor, fresh, good veggies/ crust proportions of ingredients) -- and no complaints and full bellies for everyone else. - super quick, ordered and it was ready for pick up in under 30. - very reasonably priced $50 for two pizza that fed us and left a few slices for lunch tomorrow. Cons - the website for ordering online was a little clunky, but worked... (not bad enough to knock off a star). - while everyone else liked the crust one kid did not, it was thinner and had a different texture (less "bready") than other pizza places, e.g. Papa John's. (IMO it was good!) The place was packed at 5pm on a Wednesday so that might mean something! read more

We had the best time. The Caesar salad is in my top 3 of all time. Homemade dressing as well as homemade croutons! Yummy, large and shareable. The veggie salad was packed with all sorts of goodies We had the "green pizza" VERY good and the potato one(can't remember name) is Unique and Good but could use more sauce The "topping" was the manager or owner (not sure) great personality and made us feel super welcome. read more

I went here many times. The buffalo chicken pizza is heaven. It makes me mad not to see too many people in here. The people behind the counter are really nice and hospitable. This is a nice Pizza place close to McCall airport. We had a dog with us and they had outside seating. It was the week before the 4th of July 2025. We were at Ponderosa State park but were out exploring and didn't want to cook. Everyone there was amazing. The Pizza was great and since I am moving to New Meadows I will be back. read more

Hometown Pizza is open every day of the week and for McCall standards is open late (8-9pm)! After a long day on the slopes or at the lake, nothing hits like an easy dinner that the whole family can enjoy. We called to order on a Sunday around 7 pm for a 7:20 pickup. We ordered: (1) large Lean n Green pizza (1) large cheesy garlic breadsticks with garlic sauce and ranch (2) large caesar salads with a side of anchovies and Take n Bake cookies for $5! They say that they have the largest selection of salads in the area, but they do skimp on the greens. The side of anchovies for $2 for a large was tiny, which was a disappointment because I was really hoping to top my pizza with those anchovies. The side of the ranch on the other hand was HUGE. Come here for the pizza and breadsticks, but I'd recommend stopping by the grocery store for salad mix and to buy a tin of anchovies yourself! read more

The BEST Cauliflower/Keto Crust and the BEST Gluten Free Crust that I've eaten! I was in doubt at first about a cauliflower crust being tasty, but they cooked it to perfection! The toppings are also delicious and rich. They also bake the pizzas to the perfect temperature for a small upcharge or you can take the pizzas home and bake it. Today was busy in my little small town home of McCall, Idaho. We had just went to another restaurant and man the manager working was a bear and not a teddy bear. We were exhausted and HOT!!! We just wanted dinner! We walked in and were VERY politely greeted by Steve the former owner who told us they were out of crust. They then made adjustments added some things 2 smalls makes a large right? We got salad and friendly service and on a busy weekend in McCall that is exactly what needed to be on the menu! The new owner gave us 10% off and a smile. I don't eat out much in McCall in the summer, but I am going to commit to come here more often just to feel welcome in my own community. read more

The pizza here is delicious! We had a bit of a screw up with our order, but the bartender was quick to apologize and connect with the kitchen in order to get it right. The had just recently had some turnover in staffing, so we understand the hiccups and the pizza more than made up for the error. read more

Fantastic pizza and wings. Absolutely loved the Jalamato Spinasil pizza. The staff is extremely nice and remembered my face even though I had only been there once. Well....I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this place. We've tried it twice now and both times the service was amazing and the food was great! There are plenty of other fun options if you're not a pizza eater. Jalapeño popper sandwich, Denver (like the omelet) sandwich, and lots of salads like an oriental chicken salad. You can create your own on just about anything. Don't just stop at your usual, read the entire menu and try something new!! The service was outstanding. All three people I dealt with were extremely nice and went out of their way to be helpful. In a time time like this when people tend to be a little more negative and sour, these guys just kept a smile and offer that hometown feel from the minute you walk in. The food was just as good. We've had pizza, wings, and sandwiches. All were better than expected. The spicy wings are pretty mild and the crust on the pizza was really good. This says a lot because I'm picky about crust. Crispy outside, soft inside, and flavorful. There is some outdoor seating available if you're not doing carry out. Unfortunately, have to write this review. What was once a wonderful pizza place has succumbed with the change in ownership. Tonight's large pepperoni pizza was flat, dry, overcooked with a limited and tasteless sauce. When we opened the box, the only comment in my mind was, pathetic. We also had a small beachcomber that was overcooked and burned. The large pepperoni and small speciality cost $48. The service has also changed from great to bad. We called in a pick up order, were asked to be placed on hold (phone set down on the counter, we could hear all the background in hometown). As we watched the clock pass 12 minutes on hold, we heard someone ask why the phone was on the counter, and another person said, "hang it up". And did. When we finally got through again, the person on the phone had attitude about being called out on being hung up on. I wish it was what it used to be, but the gradual decline over the last year to today's quality, service and price is sad. This was our last visit to a once great local favorite. This review is about today's experience, but the energy to finally write this has taken visits over a year, hoping it would improve. read more

Four of us were very pleased with two small pizzas and beer in the pub section. A Six-Shooter and a Hawaiian, the latter being made with Canadian bacon. Crust was thin , but not too thin, and crispy. Delicious food, beautiful people and very good service. You feel like family here. We always during come here on Christmas time and they decorate nicely and help you with orders and everything. For now, they are closed on Mondays so plan accordingly but this might change in the future so make sure to check their hours. They have clean restroom. The pizza here is good and there are a lot of options. Prices are reasonable. Processing customers should be more efficient. Especially handling telephone vs in person customers. With a baby in tow, food is always a challenge, even pre COVID! Hometown had great pizza and salad options, both of which we took advantage of and chowed down. Their Caesar was pretty darn good especially since I'm a huge lettuce snob and require my salads to not be comprised of iceberg. Hometown had a great salad and their veggie pizza was perfect! I love they give the option of take and bake or have them cook it there, definitely a great feature. Best of all? The staff. When we ordered on the phone tons of veg which my husband explained was my fault, the gentlemen on the other end made a joke about how he assumed my husband wasn't ordering meat pizza because I was listening in and my husband answered to the affirmative! We stopped by for some take-out during our stay in McCall on a Sunday night. The restaurant is nothing special on the eyes....dont let that fool you about the pizza. The service was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was clean and simple. The seating is seat yourself and take care of yourself. They will make the pizza.....and that is about it so get ready to get the drinks and others yourself. We ordered garlic cheese bread, small pizza with pepperoni, and their special "The Greek". The cheese bread was strong with garlic...yummy. The dough is more on the thin crust side. The ingredients were good and made a tasty pizza.
