What a delicious restaurant. Sometimes the line can be quite long, but the freshness and taste of the food makes it worth it. We have eaten here three or four times and always been 100% satisfied. The burgers and fries were perfect. They state their burgers are cooked medium well, but we asked for medium rare and they delivered. We were able to select from various cheeses and raw or grilled onions. We both had a pilsner that was refreshing and paired well with the meal. We even ordered an unseasoned elk patty for a special treat for our dogs after a long hike. You order at an outside window and get a number to put on your table. It seems there's always a line to order, but that's for good reason. The food is delicious and delivered reasonably quickly considering how busy they are. If you want something to drink or a milkshake, you can go inside and order at a separate register to avoid the long food line. The outside seating is comfortable and seems to turn over fast. It's not fancy, but it's good. Don't let the line discourage you. It won't take as long as you may think and it's well worth it. read more

I'm a big fan. Been in Idaho for 3 years now and let me tell you, the food scene and yelp reviews for places are all overrated, except...this place. This place was legit. We had cheeseburgers and wife had her mushroom cheeseburger as a keto, a few junior cheeseburgers for the kids since they come with the toppings as well as a milk shake. They were all done well. Food was tasty. Definitely worth the stop. Dinning area was small inside with some outdoor seating. It was adequate spacing but could get busy. Service was quick and friendly. read more

Holy yum! We popped in for a bite on our way to our camping spot in Ponderosa, and now we must go back EVERY TIME we are in McCall. I don't know what kind of addictive properties they sprinkle on the burgers, but I'm hooked. I had a cheeseburger, my husband had the elk burger...both were amazing. We recently moved from Southern California to the Greater Boise area. We decided to come to McCall for our wedding anniversary. An absolutely beautiful drive up. We decided to have lunch at My Father's Place for lunch. You order, they give you a number, and you find a table. We had burgers, fries, and shakes. I really like that they have so many flavors. I had blackberry. The burgers were juicy and tasty. The fries were good but could have been more well done. The shake did not have as much blackberry flavor as I would have liked, but was still good. The staff are nice, and the location is close to the lake. The inside of the restaurant has a musty, unpleasant smell. However, we will be back. read more

Nutella shake is the absolute best!!! The coffee shake didn't have much coffee flavor and the huckleberry was good, just overrated IMO.

Absolutely worth a stop for a burger and fries In a small town. Great food and shakes and sides. Fries are crispy. Onion rings are big and tasty. And nice huckleberry lemonade to wash it all down was great! We were able to sit outside on the patio on a lovely fall day and it was great. read more

This place has the best shakes I have ever had. I tell you I have had 3 peanut butter Oreo shakes this last month and they are all bomb. The peanut butter to Oreo ratio is perfection. Every time we have come to McCall this place was packed. We got there just before the lunch rush which was a good thing. The line got really long, really fast. There is no indoor seating and only a few tables had a roof over them. We got lucky and got the last 2 person table and didn't have to sit in the pouring rain or we would have ran back to our car and eaten in there haha. The burgers we got but not amazing and the fries were tasty. The shake was so thick your have to eat it with a spoon. I have been here a few times now. when I am in mccall I love to stop here for a cheeseburger and a milkshake. they have a stellar milkshake. like, one of the best I have ever had. I know it's not season and I know they have covid restrictions but the place was weird today. there are zero tables inside and 3 tables total outside. there was a constant stream of people coming in and nowhere for anyone to sit. people were eating in their cars. it was a little odd to me because they have 2 large patios and room inside for a few tables but they weren't utilizing any of it. we were lucky and scored a seat outside. I felt guilty as I was sitting there with my family and people were coming out frustrated and giving us dirty looks and sizing up how far along we were with our food. I felt rushed. I decided to get a charbroiled chicken burger and I regret it. the bun and toppings were good but the chicken itself was a little tough and tasted just on the verge of not cooked enough which i'm not a fan of. the fries were good and the tots were even better. my husband got an elk burger and he said it was good. I had a bite and didn't like it. elk is an acquired taste I guess. I got a peanut butter chocolate chip shake today and it was delicious. hubby got a blackberry one. both were as always perfect. I still like this place but i'll get a cheeseburger from now on and not stray. and I will be prepared to eat in my car. read more

We had burgers and an acai bowl. The burgers tasted like they came off our backyard bbq. They were well seasoned and good sized. Fries were cooked well and not greasy. The acai bowl was huge with fresh fruit and just the right drizzle. We got there during the lunch rush and the line was long. OMG I thought we'll never be able to place a food order, the line wasn't that long actually, but it took 1h just to place it. The group behind us got in line and one said, gosh looking at it, this will be an hour... I wanted to turn around and ask, but all were groaning and left. This should have been the warning for us to eat somewhere else. You can't start in line hungry, you need to go an hour before you know the hunger hits. They were totally right with their estimate, sigh. The burgers were really good, juicy and greasy goodness. The fries were crispy and the shakes are delicious. Would I wait an hour again, I don't think so, but with the line being shorter and moving faster, I'd give it another go. read more
