Easily the best pizza in McCall for the following reasons: 1- The quality of the pizza is fantastic! Great ingredients, nice thin(ish) crust, and the perfect amount of sauce. 2- The staff is just as great as the pizza. Friendly, great energy, and provide a fantastic atmosphere for enjoying pizza. 3- "The Hobbie".... hot holy damn this is easily one of the best pies I've ever had. Friendly people, located on the edge of town near the airport. Nice family-style atmosphere. The pizza had lots of good toppings choices, but was thickish, doughy, and too heavy on the cheese, not enough tomato sauce. I wanted to like their pizza, but just wasn't excited by this style. We decided to order takeout pizza for dinner on our first night in town. Hometown was a GREAT choice. We had a LARGE order for a big group of us. 2 large, 2 medium, and 1 small. "When the owner's away the kids will play." This place is like a different restaurant when the owners are present and when they are not. Tried giving it another go. Young kid answered the phone, "hometown pizza...hold please." Left me on hold for 10 minutes before I just hung up. Could hear talking in background...he just plain forgot. We come up to ski once a year and Hometown pizza is always a staple. We've dined in and even love their discounted take and bake at home option when we have big groups with us. This recent visit they accidentally got my lunch order wrong and went above and beyond to make it right. I told them I was fine with what they made, a buffalo chicken sandwich and ate the whole thing. I don't know how this place got a bad review. It's a but out of the downtown area of McCall but the food doesn't disappoint. We stopped in late on a Saturday night and were greeted by whom I assume is the owner. He was beyond friendly. It took about 20 minutes to get our pizza but it was insanely delicious and fresh. You could taste the quality, the crust was incredible. We had the Idaho pizza....bacon, potatoes ranch........I'm drooling thinking about it. I'll be back next time I'm in the area. read more

Was hoping this would be great based on all the awesome reviews. But it's nothing special. Ordered the BBQ wings which had a great flavor but were soft/soggy - not crispy or caramelized at all. The food is always good and the staff is the best! Everyone I've interacted with has been friendly and dedicated to a good experience. It's McCall so weekend nights get busy and they definitely get overwhelmed so if you are patient and understanding it is worth it. Best salad selection in McCall is not an exaggeration. We arrived in town late on a Monday night very hungry after a long day on the trails, and this was one of the only places that seemed to be open and/or offering takeout. We had the Six Shooter, which was delicious, and spicy wings, which were pretty good. The service was excellent!
