B-side the Mill is my kind of bar. I ain't fancy and I don't know a whole lot, but I know when a place is good. They got good food, hot and plenty of it, so you don't leave hungry. They got TVs everywhere you look. I sat there and watched the USA soccer game -- didn't even know we had a soccer team, but there it was, right in front of me on a big screen. Made it real fun to watch. The bartenders are real friendly and take care of you quick. They smile, they talk to you, they keep your drink full and don't act stuck‑up about nothing. If you like cold drinks, good food, and a bunch of TVs to watch the game, B-side the Mill is the place to be. I'll be back for sure. read more

I can tell that the bad reviews have been hidden. That's how yelp deals with businesses. Usually businesses pay good money to have them hidden. Bartender is very strange. If you ask him a question he seems very angry and his face will turn red. We're locals. We also work off of tips and we have to give excellent service. I expect the same. Didn't get it. This guy perhaps should take up a job not working with the public because he just seems very annoyed with everything and everyone, very negative attitude. He must know the owners. Food isn't anything to go out of your way . Very small portions, mid low quality, overpriced. read more

Great bar. The restaurant next door is amazing, but the bar food at the bar is wayyyyy overpriced, but hey it's McCall. The bar tenders are awesome and drinks made well. Biggest problem is they open late, and I guess at times they open earlier but hours are not posted anywhere on any site. And the phone number to the bar that's posted does not work. read more

Great bar with lots to do. We always spend an afternoon or evening here on our weekend visits. They have pool tables, darts and shuffleboard. But it's their collection of antique items throughout the restaurant that capture your attention. Old gas pumps, vintage and rare signs and tons of other items capture your attention. I could spend hours (and have) enjoying a beer while viewing everything they have on display. Highly recommend! read more

Diamond in the rough. One of the last good ones. I'm not a local but I was served nicely, didn't get overcharged - had a wonderful time. Lot of folks in reviews seem to have drank a bit much and are taking their anger/regret out here. This spot is 10/10 if you're into it. If you're not, just move along. read more

If I ever go out, which I rarely do, I choose BESIDE THE MILL. My favorite bar to go to because my husband and I can have a drink, smoke a cig, and play pool, or even win some money at the slot machines. Such a cool place to visit if you don't mind smoke read more

Nice bartender, great selection, very comfortable and it's very appointed with wonderful works of antiques and some historic archeology. Didn't try the food but a great place to stop and have a beer in the afternoon. Love the decor. read more

1st: Smokey. I like that they have a choice to allow smoking but it smells Smokey. 2nd: The food is all really expensive. I paid $29.00 for a beer, chicken strips and fries. Not exaggerating. 3rd: The fries sucked. They were fried in the same oil as the fish and chips, ($30.00) so tasted fishy. Also, they were "house cut" but were huge, like wedges. Not the same thing. 4th: No inexpensive options. No burgers. Cheapest thing is appetizers which are all overpriced. Quite possibly the least attractive place I've ever been to. read more

Apparently you only get served if you are a local. Went in there last night and the bartender didn't acknowledge us but was having a conversation a regular that came in 10 minutes later. Good prices are outrageous and the food quality is NOT as good as other restaurants in town. read more

If you want to pay $8 for small draft beer on tap and then this is your spot. Went with a friend on a Saturday she ordered a beer, then I got a Moscow mule. That was another $8. Once I tasted it and it was flat I asked when the ginger beer bottle she poured in it was opened she shrugged and said I think yesterday. Last smoking bar in McCall. But not a giant smoke cloud. Good circulating fans. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Good prices and lot of large TVS to watch the game. Pool tables and a nice shuffle board. A lot of memorabilia hanging everywhere. Pretty cool small town bar! read more

Run down. Smokey. A real wheezer bar fly crowd. They bill themselves as a "sports bar." Hah! I walked in in July to watch the All Star game and they didn't even know it was on! No sound on any TV. Bad music (The Jackson Five - really?). A bunch of drunks at the bar. Paid $30 for a fish and chips and two beers. Awful! I went across the street to Paradise Burgers and they had three televisions, all on the All Star game, no smoking and GREAT burgers and beer! I did not get a burger, but the folks I sat next to loved theirs -- it made me rue the day I ever stepped foot into Beside The Mill. read more

One of the best bars in McCall. I love that the bartenders will easily change the channel for you on the tv and put whatever music you like on. Great atmosphere and loads of games to play like shuffle board and pool and darts. Oh! And they serve the same food as the restaurant next door, which is amazing. I love that you can smoke in here too. I would recommend everyone try this bar too because of the relics; it feels like a sports bar had sex with a museum. read more
