Really enjoyed their Mediterranean Pizza - thin crust! I could easily have it once/week! Sitting outside, though, we could smell their garbage out back. Whiffs of dead animal is not what you want to smell while eating a good pizza. Would definitely go back- but would get the pizza to go. Maybe eat it @ the waterfront. Definitely better than the Toll Station Pizza! Try Crusty's instead! read more

The outside of the place makes you think about turning around. In a tourist town like mccall you'd think it would need to be a little nicer. The smoked meats were good. Seemed like only thin crust was available. Thin like tortilla thin! The exposed crust was crisp like a chip. Had leftovers for a family of 4. Put it in a baggie then in the trash. As stated by others the pizzas are quite good and they do not scrimp on toppings. However, as also stated by others, they are a bit pricey. A 12 inch pie, we had the four little pigs, serves two adults rather well. The atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired giving the impression the restaurant was opened on a shoestring budget. Even so, the service was pleasant and we left satisfied. Although I love a thin crust that is lightly browned, the pie we received was left in the oven a little too long and the crust was blackened somewhat on the bottom so that you could taste the burn. I can't say if we would return here for a meal, we have yet to try the other pizzeria in McCall, but I think it would be worth a return visit. read more

Looking forward to coming back this summer so I can have another pizza at Crusty's. Sourdough thin thin crust with such toppings and the cheeses producing remarkable flavors. We had a cheese, 4 Pigs and Roasted Veggie and we all loved them! Great crispy crust. There was a live band and the atmosphere was relaxed.

Not sure why all the good reviews. Had to wait 45 minutes just to get in the door. When we finally got our pizza, it was average at best.

If on the other hand you are looking for a good ol' pizza parlor where you can feed a truckload of people good tasting food on limited dough (couldn't help myself) better get out a ten foot pole to poke this place with because if you get any closer you are liable to get sucked in to what appears to be a humble small town pizzeria. Nice thin-crust pizza with a huge variety of toppings (elk sausage, dried cranberries, bleu cheese to name a few of the more uncommon options) and a laid-back vibe. There was a jam band playing outside the night we were there, hippy/bluesy stuff. The place was absolutely packed, but they took our order right away and our pizzas were ready within 30 minutes. Not bad for a place that was completely slammed. Why only three stars? One of our three pizzas was exactly what we ordered, but the other two weren't even close. They probably gave us someone else's order by accident, but they were tasty nonetheless. We're not very picky eaters and hopefully whoever got our pizzas felt the same. When you're on vacation, why sweat the small stuff, right? I'll definitely go back next time I'm in McCall. read more

Didn't even stay for the Pizza. Got to the restaurant 10 minutes before they opened so we sat at a table on the porch until they opened. A couple showed up a few minutes after us and sat at a different table outside with us. When the door finally opened we were greeted with "I'll take the order from the other people first!" What a way to greet your first customer of the day... even though we were actually the first ones there. I didn't like the guys attitude and said go ahead and take them and we turned around and left. I am not going to patronize an establishment that treats its customers like that. I'm sure that if the owner would have witnessed him treating customers that way that he would not be too impressed with his hired help, nor me! I'll never go there again. read more

Have no idea what the one star reviews are about. I have eaten pizza all over the world...literally....New York, Chicago, Italy, india, Newfoundland, etc....and just about every one in Houston. This is great pizza. It is not Pizza Hut, so if that is what you are looking for, move along. We got a half smoke jumper/half veggie of some kind. It was great...crust was right mix of crunchy and chewy. Unique toppings that work. Good cheese and sauce. A little pricey. I figure the bad reviews are just from folks who aren't really exposed to many types of pizza, and probably like Olive Garden. Highly recommended. read more

Similar to the most recent post, I was initially afraid to try Crusty's based on the reviews, but I took a leap and tried it. It was delicious! Yes, it's a very thin crust, but the dough is flavorful and the ingredients taste fresh. I love the red pizza sauce too. Have only tried Italian sausage and pepperoni. The only reason for 4 stars is due to pricing. Their prices are a bit more spendy considering you may need more for larger parties due to the thin crust. read more

We've been going to McCall for many years now and we finally made it to Crusty's. It's nothing fancy inside but they have live music some nights, according to the staff. Our pizza's were very good albeit expensive. Twelve inchers are in the $15-$20 range and the 16's are $25-$30. But they were very filling; we didn't finish our 16 inch. So don't let the price scare ya. I'm partial to Neopolitan style pizzas so these are a bit thick for me. Lot's of ingredients though, they don't skimp. All in all we enjoyed it. read more

Awesome pizza, cold beer, sweet spot. I've been to Crusty's before the new owner took over. I always thought it was pretty good pizza. Just finished a meal here and couldn't be more impressed. The food was quick and delicious. I think the pizza is even better than before. We had the Italian and wanted to order another one to go it was so good! And the service is awesome which I can't say about the rest of the restaurants...including the upscale ones in McCall. If you're in McCall skip the Shore Lodge and they're expensive prices and mediocre service and head to Crusty's for the best pizza you'll find in the state. read more

Love this place! Stopped here for two pizzas to go after a day on the lake, and enjoyed a few pitchers while we were waiting for our order. The staff was great, very attentive and friendly, and they had a great selection of draft beers (Green Flash West Coast IPA!!). The pizza itself was delicious! So we r all for thin crust but this is the second time we have been here and it's horrible. Spent 44$ on two pizzas and literally threw them away. Was like eating really expensive cardboard. I am flabbergasted too. The bad reviews are obviously from people who either do not know, or do not appreciate the myriad pizza styles available at different pizza restaurants. If they took a few seconds to check the web site, what is served here is very clearly outlined. I wish I could take these reviewers to Italy and have them order a pizza and then read the reviews they would post about authentic Italian pizza! I bet they would complain just as vehemently because it did not fit their myopic vision of Americanized pizza. The pizza we enjoyed last night was outstanding! The combination of cheeses was far superior to the usual pizza shop. The free live entertainment made for a delightful summer night. If you like Sicilian style pizza, go elsewhere. I live in McCall. This is the best pizza in town, without question. The venue is not your typical pizza parlor with a bunch of room for kids to run everywhere. The place looks a little rough around the edges, but the service is good, the guys are really nice and the pizza is great. The ingredients are quality- not just the typical food delivery service garbage you'll find at a lot of restaurants. They occasionally have live music, which is also fun. Don't listen to the negative Yelp comments. They are probably written by rich, spoiled snobs from California that came to McCall hoping to find Aspen or Jackson Hole. read more
