They felt he was the best in the area. They serve small portions which is fine. My wife and I enjoyed the dinner and the desserts. You can tell that the chef is on top of his game. The restaurant has a nice, open feel to it. Relaxed atmosphere.

Place isn't large but tables were open, though it filled before we left. There was one server and 2 in the back, so our waitress was busy. She did well, on service, though not overly attentive, but she was spread thin and we didn't suffer at all from a lack of attention. Menu was just the right size for size of the place and staff with Burgers, Sandwiches, Steak, and Pastas. Wife and I shared 3 items, French Onion Soup, Wedge Salad, and the Bacon Bison Burger with homemade chips. The burger was outstanding for $14, cooked right and flavorful, and the chips were a pleasant surprise. The Wedge , $13, was ample and tasty, though the very top of wedge had to be discarded and was obviously wilted. I'll state here, I fully understand Valley County should be graded on a slight curve, and lettuce is a tough one, but I'm sure cook noticed when cutting. Rest of lettuce was good. Rest of salad was also. Lastly the French Onion Soup was not great. Basically the onions were not cooked long and slow enough to develop flavor, heck they were firm. We will be eating here again, as the food and service overall was good and the location is nice and awful convenient. Prices was inline with what you get and for Valley County. Service was good, but I'm sure it could be a bit better with an extra server on busy nights, so they can have more time. I was surprised to see no real info on hotel site regarding restaurant or a link on their website so I'm not sure how many people know this is available while visiting Cascade.

We decided to stop in randomly in July following a day of downhill riding for a beverage. It was a…read morehot day so we gathered on the patio under an inviting red umbrella. My sons huckleberry lemonade was delicious. Husband had a local IPA and I had the Spiked Strawberry Limeade (vodka). I liked it so much I ordered another when we returned later that night during a free concert. It was late afternoon. We were enjoying the patio and decided to just eat an early dinner as well. The Buffalo cauliflower is a must. Cauliflower prepared and served just like your favorite buffalo wings- we ordered ours with blue cheese and ranch sauce. Wow! I would come back just for the cauliflower. Did I just say that? Really? Yes I did !!! My son had the To Die For Grilled Cheese panini with bacon, tomatoes and avocado. I would totally order that on another visit if in the mood for that dish. It was served with what appeared to be fresh, hand cut, homemade fried potato chips. I would come here again just to nibble on those homemade chips with a beverage. Ps I love potato chips. Especially very good ones. My husband and I split the Kobe burger. This was a very good solid burger, very tasty and yes it was satisfying. I'm not sure about it being actual Kobe beef? I mean what percentage of meat needs to be Kobe to call it "Kobe" beef? I digress... this patty looked like a premade patty from Costco or McDonalds. I was less than thrilled by the look of the actual meat patty. However, like I said before, it was indeed a very GOOD tasty burger. Good bun, fresh fixings etc. So what do I know? I liked it and I would certainly order it again. I'm surprised by the quality of this meal at the now defunct Tamarack Resort. The resort offers very limited weekend service during the summer, so my expectations were low. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I even spied the chef walking around the patio tending to some home grown tomatoes and herbs. I'm hopeful and want to support Tamarack whenever possible. It was a very nice end to a super fun family day of riding. I enjoyed having the amenity of a nice spot to grab a drink and some good grub at the foot of the mountain.

Weather was perfect for outside on the day we went, but could definitely be too hot in the middle of summer! Food was great and came out quick. We got burgers, tenders, salad and nachos. Everything was good! My husband enjoyed the self serve beer selection, although the workers didn't explain how to use it or give us the QR code at first. They have card games available to use, we played uno while waiting for our food, which we only played one game because the food came out so fast. Like others have mentioned, the service needs serious improvement. We had to tell our server when we wanted to order, my husband had to go in and ask for condiments, refills. Waitress didn't check on us ONCE. Not sure if we'll be back but the village was a cute stop on our vacation.

Eventually, a server with blue hair came over, but her attitude and professionalism were lacking from the start leaning on the table while taking our order felt very inappropriate. We ordered drinks, and when our food arrived, we asked where they were. The bartender seemed confused, and after waiting even longer, we discovered our server had never even put the drink order in. To make matters worse later on I went toward the restroom area and saw the same server vaping on the stairs by the bathrooms. She had no issue blowing vape smoke right in our direction, despite us having our child with us. I understand this is a bar environment but professionalism still matters especially in a family resort setting. Unfortunately, this was a terrible experience from beginning to end.
