Decided to come on a Saturday night to enjoy the live band. (They were great!) The restaurant is very nice with seating inside or outside. Weather was perfect for outside on the day we went, but could definitely be too hot in the middle of summer! Food was great and came out quick. We got burgers, tenders, salad and nachos. Everything was good! My husband enjoyed the self serve beer selection, although the workers didn't explain how to use it or give us the QR code at first. They have card games available to use, we played uno while waiting for our food, which we only played one game because the food came out so fast. Like others have mentioned, the service needs serious improvement. We had to tell our server when we wanted to order, my husband had to go in and ask for condiments, refills. Very disappointing experience overall. We sat down and waited nearly 15 minutes before anyone brought us water or menus. Eventually, a server with blue hair came over, but her attitude and professionalism were lacking from the start leaning on the table while taking our order felt very inappropriate. We ordered drinks, and when our food arrived, we asked where they were. The bartender seemed confused, and after waiting even longer, we discovered our server had never even put the drink order in. To make matters worse later on I went toward the restroom area and saw the same server vaping on the stairs by the bathrooms. She had no issue blowing vape smoke right in our direction, despite us having our child with us. I understand this is a bar environment but professionalism still matters especially in a family resort setting. Unfortunately, this was a terrible experience from beginning to end. read more

I am completely horrified by my experience here! After getting seated at the bar, a woman asked what we would like to get started with. I stated we were not getting food yet but would like drinks, as I began stating "we would like to try out the self serve taps." She turned her back and began talking to her coworkers. We sat for about 15 more minutes before anybody acknowledged us. When we were able to get somebodies attention we asked to start the QR code self serve drinks, the male bartender asked for a card, which we gave him. After ringing up the card, he threw it back at me from his cash register, across the counter, landing on his wet drink making pad. Completely disrespectful and disgusting service all around. We left without drinks or food and will be much happier giving our money and service to literally anywhere else, where they treat people with any level of human decency. read more

PRO: The service was the only good thing, Jordan was my bartender and she was fantastic, I was having a hard time figuring out what to drink with their massive selection but she was very knowledgeable and patient. I highly recommend the mandarin cider or their homemade apple cider. CON: The food was stingy, I got fish and chips but only two small pieces of fish. Also got the nachos and they skimped on toppings it was mostly just chips with a little scoop of guacamole. Ambiance is fine. read more

Be aware-- automatic 20% gratuity so none of the servers care to provide good service. Horrible. Food was awful as well. I was with a party of 7 and the pot pie and wings were good but all 5 other dishes were horrible. The shrimp noodle bowl is a cold dish. French fries are horrible. Chicken quesadilla came out after everyone was done eating. Got our drinks after the food. Horrible horrible horrible. All of the servers sat in the back corner by the elevator giggling while we waited for our drinks for 30 minutes at least. I asked for mayo 6 times, 4 different people. I think you get the picture. Stopped in for a few drinks and the bartender hardly seemed to know what he was doing, very overwhelmed and couldn't seem to figure out how to close out all of our tabs (only 3). After we left we started getting separate charges on all of our cards so I don't know if they're pulling some sort of scam or if it's just negligence but if you're going to go to the bar I'd recommend cash or someone that actually seems competent. read more

Weird place! Walked in and went right past the hostess. No one spoke a word to us! We sat for a while until another person at the restaurant (not an employee) explained to us how it worked. Totally confusing, zero customer service and we found out the owner was drinking at the bar right across from us-unbelievable! The outside atmosphere is beautiful with great views of the ski hill. We had an Asian chicken salad, coconut shrimp, quinoa salad, and a burger. The restaurant does not have much choices and if you are gluten free - forget it. The waiter was great - very attentive and helpful. We love everything about Tamarack ski resort. The seven Devils taphouse included the food was good. The beer selection was great!!! Can you talk a few times while vacationing at Tamarack Village. I would say that the Berger is a star of the menu, but the noodle dish with the baby shrimp that was a joke (for me at least). Sat at the bar with friends to have a drink after skiing. Bartender started out okay. Not friendly by any means, but she served drinks, which was to be expected. However, about 20 minutes in, she basically accused me of trying to skip my tab because I put my credit card away rather than leaving it on the bar when I left to go buy gloves, and then she held my card hostage for 20 minutes after the rest of my party paid when we were done. Apparently a "system issue", although everyone else was checked out on another terminal just fine. She was flat out awful from start to finish, so I tipped accordingly. (Although no tip was probably more appropriate in this case.) The kicker is she decided to defraud me by upping the tip by $3. So she thought a $4 tip for one drink was appropriate. The credit card company made me whole, so no money lost on my end. But she didn't deserve the $3 she stole. Word to the wise: if your service is bad, and you tip accordingly, keep your receipt so your bank can credit you for the fraud. You'll know the bartender as soon as you sit down. You'll be treated as a burden, not a guest. Tamarack as a whole is fun though. Just skip this bar. read more

Finally this place has good food! There is a new Chef, Chef Topple. He has other great restaurants in Donnelly. He's known for amazing food. I can finally eat here and have several yummy/healthy options to choose from. I'm so excited! Today we tried the fish tacos, hummus wrap, and shrimp bowl. All were outstanding! You know, I REALLY wanted to like this place. The drinks are fine. Self serve beer which is kinda fun. If you just want to try a little of a new beer. It's great. The food is terrible. Fries are weird. Almost unedible. This feels like very mediocre middle school cafeteria food. I read the reviews and didn't have high hopes for the food, so I ordered something that would be hard to mess up. The Devils club. I ate half the sandwich and I'm done. Really kinda frustrating. The server is very nice. It feels like there is no creativity or imagination from the kitchen. Edit. I actually got sick from the sandwich. Bad things happened. My body completely rejected it. They switch to a waiter system because that "flooded the kitchen". So instead of speeding up the kitchen, they slowed down service and now it's hard to even place an order. Infuriating self service process and then they have the audacity to ask for prescribed amounts of 10, 15, 20, 25! First have to check in at front desk, give your credit card in order to get a QR code. Then use the QR code to order at different counters throughout the restaurant. All the while more angry customers asking questions in total confusion. Not enough staff or kiosks to answer any questions. The entire place is a god damned riddle. Including finding the restrooms, not a single sign for restrooms anywhere except through the non-marked door and two floors in the basement. No option to opt out of giving your phone number. No terms of service to agree to wondering if I signed up to know when my order was ready or endless spam. Worst still, it's the only option in the village as everything else was closed. 1.5 out of 10. Jeff the new bartender was......., i have mo words for his un-professionalism. My wife and I were trying to give money to 7 Devils and he was making it very difficult. Sign posted on door open til 9. We arrived at 7:30, we sit at the bar, Jeff asks if we want a menu, we say yes. He insinuates we just got in under the wire, 90 minutes before they close, we order, he asks for a card, we give him one, we say we are club members, he says we need to give him the new club card which has not been issued yet, Zach who works there says" i can vouch for him" Jeff says, its a new policy, and if you have a problem with it talk to Mary" we find a table finish our food, ask Zach for our check, he comes back and says its already closed out, and he cant find it. I guess Jeff did not want our money anymore. What if we wanted another drink, we'd have to open another tab. Jeff is a hack bartender. If he's working, I am walking out. We wanted to go to the Reserve...but they weren't open..in fact nothing was open on Tuesday June 17, 2025, except Seven Devils. We walked in and the sign said to go downstairs which we did, there was no one there to greet us or tell us where to sit, or tell us to take any seat, so we sat down. There were 6 employees standing around...and a few bartenders. No one made eye contact or said hello, or said we'll be right with you...there were only three other tables outside that had already been waited on ....It was NOT crowded. Finally someone brought us menus...never asked if we wanted anything to drink...another 10 minutes...and we stopped an employee walking by our table and my husband asked it he could get a beer...she said she had to supply us with a QR code..what???? finally a piece of paper with a QR code came to our table and my husband had to go over to the wall where the beer was and get his own...they don't tell you the price..only how much per ounce... the glass was warm, and the beer was not that cold...I finally flagged someone down so I could get a coke...we had to get up to get the wait person to tell her we would like to order some lunch. The food was good, nothing to write home about. When we finished and had been waiting a while my husband got up again, and had to ask for our bill...they just gave us the amount, no itemization...so I got up and asked someone to please itemize our bill.. This was the first time in our life that we didn't leave a tip...The indifference of the staff, and the hassle of how to get a lousy beer...was just too much...We don't ever need to go back to Tamarack...and we live in Lake Fork...there are too many decent places to go to in McCall and Jug Mountain Ranch. And don't get me started on the price of green fees at the golf course...$170 for weekdays and $180 for weekends...YIKES!! read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The food is disgusting and the service is non existent. Literally eat anywhere else. Here you order your own food and pour your own drinks, so if you like terrible food and waiting on yourself this is the place for you. Also the French fries tasted like fish. We mentioned to the host thinking they might want to pass on to the kitchen not cook both the fish and chips in the same frier, who told us that (get this) they don't even have fish. Never again. The restaurant and location is beautiful and worth the visit to The Village but PLEASE do not order the salad or nachos because it is THE worst cafeteria food for resort prices! You pay for the interior and location - ALL the staff are very young and inexperienced especially on trying to explain simply how to order food all no contact - have to show your ID and CC to simply order to THE most disgusting food that I have ever had. All we wanted to do was have a pleasant lunch and it was a NEVER AGAIN experience. The only positive thing that I can share is that they hired a young man named Borat from Turkey who was such an authentic pleasure - so grateful to be in our beautiful country and will most likely succeed in whatever he chooses to pursue but he is the only reason that we did not refuse to pay for over-priced garbage that they call food - you have been warned.... read more
