Kase spatzle, schnitzel w/ bun, giant pretzel, fries

Loved the simple menu and the food was great! Tried to order most things to share with my family: kase spaetzle, schnitzel on a bun, brat on a bun w/ fries and the giant pretzel. Service was friendly and helpful as I slowly ordered for my wife and 4 daughters. Perfect mountain town ambiance for some classic German food and they even have a biergarten out back. Nice selection of German beers too (bottles only)

What a fun little German restaurant. Truly enjoyed this delicious traditional German fare. Enjoyed beers, meatballs, sauerkraut and fries.....YUM. Customer service was great. A great addition to Crouch. We will hopefully be returning soon.

Spätzle/Spaetzle, this was a crowd pleaser and everyone wanted more! A comfort food for sure.

This is a German deli that serves a smaller menu, and all the items are fantastic. Don't come here expecting Americanized German food, this is authentic. Everyone in our group of picky eaters found something they liked. Kids loved the giant German pretzel with cheese(beer) sauce! The meatloaf is adjacent to cornedbeef if you like that sort of thing (delicious) and the sausages were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I especially loved the potato salad which is very different from western potatoe salad (not heavy laden with dairy or cream at all, but fresher and lighter ) The service was friendly, the food is prepared and cooked fresh when you order, so we had to wait about 15 minutes, but that isn't long for freshly cooked food. There are 2 clean public bathrooms for customers, a clean self-serve water station, and ample napkins. We didn't have to ask for anything, it all came out lovely and with very friendly wait staff. I highly recommend! And don't forget dessert! The cake was amazing and enough to share between 2-3 people, although I would have been happy to eat it all myself. We will definitely be back!

Restaurant was not very busy but it was an hour wait for mostly bland food. The meat balls were OK but that's about it.

When I lasted visited I was looking for French holiday chocolates. Obviously, I didn't find any. More specifically, the French holiday chocolates are called Papillotes. Papillotes are wrapped like little presents and have decorative ribbons and tassles at the end. We did find similar chocolates in the bins by the meats and cheese. Those chocolates were good not as good as French or Belgium chocolates but its as close as we're going to find in the Boise area. We have not purchased any other items but perhaps when my Mom is back in March, we'll purchase some Mortadella for her to try. If you're looking for Eastern European grocery items, then this location is for you.

We encountered a tall, elderly male cashier with gray hair who was extremely unprofessional. When we pointed out that an item scanned at a different price than what was listed on the shelf, he became visibly angry. He dismissively told us the shelf prices were 'old and wrong' and grew further frustrated when we clarified a bulk candy price. He even insisted the candy was in the wrong place and should be more expensive. His behavior was so rude that a nearby coworker--a kind, blonde woman--actually apologized to us for his conduct and wished us a Happy Women's Day. It is disappointing to see such a lack of manners. I want to alert other customers to double-check their receipts, as the prices at checkout often do not match the shelves, and we were nearly charged for items we didn't even have.

My husband is pretty classic and just got a cheese pizza. He wanted to do half and half but it wasn't an option. One of the cons of ordering off a kiosk instead of a person. The pizza was handed to us right from the oven. Piping hot! That baby was loaded with cheese. Not one dry spot on the pizza! It did cool a bit by the time we got home but the cheese pull was still there! For a grocery store pizza, it's actually pretty good! This pizza was 10 bucks and an extra dollar to have them bake it for you. Can't go wrong with an 11 dollar pizza. No delivery fee. No tip needed. You cactus beat that!

They carry most items for both big brands and a Winco brand that's top notch. Plus bin shopping for lots of staples and goodies, grind your own coffee, deli, bakery, sushi, pizza to go, and more. You can feel the discount vibe in places - bag your own groceries- but overall it's a higher class discount market. Preferred items that beat out competitors - sushi, fried chicken, deli cheeses selection, premade pizza to bake at home, and bakery breads and bagels baked in store. I prefer their fresh baked bagels to any speciality bagel store. Items lacking - deli sliced meats not great and lack of cake offerings, plus the packaged bakery baked sweets not that great. Lower selection of some item variety but not that many items I cannot find. Love the produce area, good quality and prices. Paper towels are my fav, price is so low! Staples are cheaper here (canned, jars, dry items like pasta, oatmeal, peanut butter, etc.) than anywhere else. Great selection of grab and go meals at excellent prices. Prices have been terrible on eggs here lately. Watch signs for a price for 1 box of eggs but in small print they charge much more for the 2nd or more box of eggs the same size. The prices vary so watch labels and ads for deals.

We tried the pintxos of the day (3 for $10) - seafood and chorizo gratin, goat cheese and zucchini compote, and sardine bollo with lemon aioli; Basque meatballs with Sheepherder's bread, and braised lamb and potatoes. We also shared a frozen sangria which is a white wine slush with a splash of red wine float. All the food is amazing - the Basque meatballs is a bit on the saltier side but the Sheepherder's bread is so crispy and buttery! Among the pintxos, I loved the seafood and chorizo gratin the most, but all are delicious. The braised lamb and potatoes are good - the lamb is juicy while the potatoes were flavorful and slightly crispy. Service is good for an order at the counter style establishment - servers still walk around and check up on customers, even though the rest of the experience (filling water, etc) is more self-serve.
