This local small mountain-lake town bakery is what Hallmark movies are inspired by. It's hard not to fall in love with this tiny bakery that usually has a line out-the-door for Stacey's baked goods and coffee! There's plenty of outdoor seating and some space inside to enjoy your coffee and pastries. I visited this Stacey's Cakes when staying in a cabin in Donnelly, the next town over about 20-25 minutes away. It was a friend's birthday and we snuck out of the cabin to grab a birthday cake and luckily for us- they had premade cakes in the back that serves 8-12 people! We got the berries and cream cake and even picked up the perfect cake topper! The cake came frozen, so we left it out at room temperature for 4-6 hours. The cake was a hit, everyone loved it! The frosting was made with real butter and boy, could you taste it - it was decadent. Stacey's Cakes is a true McCall gem. If you're in town and want to romanticize your life, stop by Stacey's Cakes and get ready to fall in love!

How do you review a spot with an excellent product and poor service? It can be a challenge. At Stacey Cakes in McCall you can expect quality baked goods in a small town setting and a cute, aesthetic environment. On the other hand, a notably difficult customer experience along with limited hours made our excitement about this spot deflate. Upon deliberating, discussing at length, and coming to a decision on a cake, the owner, who had been right there observing us announced from the open kitchen in a curt manner that the available cake (per their own sign) could not be sold to us. Confusion ensued as the sales person apologized & we looked for other options on the "still available" cake board. Then a few minutes later, as we had started the process of deliberating again, the owner called out from the open kitchen to her sales person (not acknowledging us, making eye contact with us or explaining to us) said "sell them the cake." (I'm assuming she retabulated her orders for the day.) Understanding the challenges of running a small business and inventory management, there is no reason to snap at your customers. A kind apology or thoughtful acknowledgement would have smoothed the whole thing, but instead we had a charged experience. I was fairly surprised about the interaction until a conversation with a local friend illuminated that this experience was not a one off, but a pattern. End of story is that we did buy and did enjoy the cake, but the odd, and tense interaction didn't meet our expectations for customer service.

Oh my! This little bakery is DELICIOUS! I couldn't decide what to get so landed on the raspberry chocolate scone (pictured) and a coconut macaroon. The scone was huge and so delicious. It didn't taste fake at all. If you have a sweet tooth and want a really good baked good while in McCall, go here!

Very tasty cinnamon roll and a cute and cozy place. I also had the hot chocolate but it would have tasted so much better if it was made with milk instead of water.

This is an outstanding bakery in this kitschy town. The desserts are mostly shortbread based and it tastes wonderfully buttery. I loved the bag of molasses cookies. The riff on a twix bar cookie was outstanding. The lemon tart was delicious! Wish she was open everyday!!

Went here for the first time and bought two bakery items. They were both delicious . Can't wait to go back next time to try out more of their bakery items.

This is one of our must-stop destinations on every trip to McCall. You never know what tasty treats they're serving up, but you can guarantee they'll be fantastic. This time we tried the Coconut Macaroon, and a Twixter. 10/10 would get both again.

What a terrific place! Located in downtown McCall, this wonderful bakery seemingly wraps its arms around you when you enter, as the incredible scent inside is so darn good. Walking distance from the McCall hub of Payette Lake and the Shore Lodge, this is such a must-visit stop. Open until 4PM, Stacey Cakes has its own parking as part of a strip mall, and will satisfy your sweet tooth cravings! Since I was just arriving from Boise, I needed to graze a bit, and walked away with three items which I loved. The chocolate chip cookies were awesome, chewy and huge, and I liked them so much that I ate the second one slowly, almost rationing it to savor it. A bag of ginger snaps were memorable, so delicious. But the highlight for me was the raspberry chocolate shortbread, one of the best pastries I have ever enjoyed. A truly great bakery that is still on my mind, and I can't wait to visit again.

Awesome selection of fresh baked goods. Both Savory and sweet. We tried the Cherry pie, strawberry tart, lemon cloud, and cinnamon rolls. All were amazing!

Amazing desserts! We stopped in for an assortment for our family to share. Everything was amazing! We'll definitely be back.

I visited the bakery twice during my weekend in Donnelly. On the first day, my husband and I shared a breakfast burrito (scrambled eggs, sausage, salsa, hash browns, dried, cheese, wrapped with a wheat tortilla, $7.00), a cream cheese lemon muffin ($3.00) and a huckleberry donut ($2.00). The burrito was delicious. It was generously packed with all the goods and served at the perfect temperature. Full of flavor, I didn't even need any hot sauce. The muffin was rich, baked with a yummy ball of cream cheese in the middle. You'll want a big glass of milk to go with this one. The huckleberry donut was absolutely out-of-this-world. The frosting was wonderfully creamy and bursting with flavors of fresh, Idaho huckleberry. If you're a tourist, this is a MUST TRY. On day two, my husband ordered another burrito because he was so impressed with the first. I went for the breakfast sandwich ($7.00) which was unlike any I had ever had before. It's a thick slice of delicious, homemade frittata (eggs, cheese, green chiles, salsa, sour cream, dried onion and flour ) with cheddar cheese between two slices of focaccia. I can't say enough good things about it. Each bite was phenomenal. The frittata was incredibly well seasoned as was the focaccia. I will be returning for this sandwich and more sweet treats. The service is outstanding as well. The owner is incredibly warm and welcoming. Flight of Fancy is a GEM. I can only hope it sticks around for many, many years!

We stopped in for a breakfast treat on a beautiful late September morning and were expecting more…read morebased on the bakery's promotional literature that they had home made pies, cakes and so on. (Yes, we eat home made pie for breakfast when we're on vacation! Isn't it like fruit and toast?) What we found was an assortment of fried pastries like cinnamon snails, maple bars and glazed donuts. These were obviously fresh, all large sized, and carefully made. Not a bad thing if that's what you're looking for, but it wasn't what we were expecting based on the promotional materials and they are not things we eat. We settled on a bagel (a "ho hum" bagel that we're pretty sure was not house baked) and a cup of coffee - good coffee from local (Joseph) roaster Motley Brew. The space was nice and clean and the (order at counter) service was very friendly, so thumbs up for both. If you're in Enterprise and looking for what we describe as pastries, Cloud 9 is the place to go. If you're looking for something more creative as a breakfast goody, you might swing by the Longhorn Espresso & BBQ iosk on Greenwood across from the Enterprise city park. No kidding...good little breakfast scones and muffins are available there. Also while Cloud 9 lists itself as a deli, there was no evidence of deli items when we visited, although they did have a lunch menu of sandwiches and sides available after a certain hour.

I was hoping to try this place out, but it was closed. Im not sure if it's closed for good or not…read more It's hard finding breakfast spots in the area.
