This shop is a bakery, gift and flower shop. It has a large selection of cute cards for any occasion and I liked the variety of toys, glassware, and other gift options. However, my favorite part was the bakery. We tried the cranberry-lime poppyseed bread. I enjoyed it because it was not too sweet and the cranberries baked into it were delicious. My daughter had the lemon meringue tart and said it was good but a little dry. She enjoyed her big vanilla sprinkled macaron though. My absolute favorite was the seasonal offering of a strawberry-rhubarb tart. I cannot say how much I loved this pastry. It was perfect from the filling to the crust. The filling didn't taste like it had any added sugar and the strawberries served as the sweet to the tart of the rhubarb. The crust was light and you could see the layers that were just firm enough but melded perfectly with the pie filling. There was a brown sugar oatmeal and butter crumble on top that added all the sweet you need. The customer service is amazing! We got a wedding cake and cupcakes for our special day. There was not anything left as we packed up! It was so very tasty! I did order this from across the map so I wasn't sure what I was getting. It was a great surprise to see how beautiful and delightful it was! I visited the Hailey store during the Christmas holiday and ordered a 16-oz hot chocolate--the Gen Z employee who made it filled the cup only halfway. After leaving, I had to return and politely request a refill. When I handed her the cup, she dismissed my concern, saying in an inconvenient tone, "I don't have the milk ready, so you'll HAVE to wait." After a wait, she returned the drink and proceeded to scold me, stating she would fill it this one time, but in the future, my family and I wouldn't receive any service to fill the cups if I was shorted. I had to remind her I was the customer and wouldn't tolerate her "schooling" me about my concern regarding a service that was reasonably expected and paid for. See the store owner's reply below. It is a defensive reply, scolding me with a bunch of woke ideology and noise. I didn't even read the thing because it's exhausting defensiveness and written poorly. Now we see why a little variety store gets too many low-star reviews based on poor service. Teach your employees how to handle a simple customer service experience pleasantly and remind them who pays the bills. This isn't hard. read more

I ordered flowers and cupcakes for a friends birthday, seeing as I don't live in Idaho I was hoping for the best but I love their website and their name. So I went for it. They sold a book that had nude and inappropriate pictures of both males and females in a book advertised as a golden retrievers picture book. This was supposed to be a gift for an 80 year old. I ordered a Birthday Cake, and later that day I received a phone call fro Hank & Sylvie, saying that they could not honor my order. Disappointed, I reluctantly agree to change the order for the next day and we gave our Credit card to confirm the order. Two weeks later when I came to pick up the Birthday cake, there was no cake. When sharing our disappointment with Sarah her answer was we were rude to complain. At Hank & Sylvie you can be confident to be disappointed and they will add insult to injury. read more

Hank and Sylvie's is a fabulous cafe/floral studio/ gift shop. I was visiting Sun Valley and found this little gem after taking a wonderful sunrise yoga class at Gather, the studio above. After walking past, I knew I had to go in. Hank and Sylvie's serves deliciously brewed coffee and tea. My vanilla late' was one of the best I've ever had!!! Their pastries and baked treats were all fresh and smelled delicious. They have a great selection of home decor, lifestyle books, unique paper paper products, children's gifts, and darling party supplies. I bought my daughter a strand of Flamingo lights and some super cute Meri Meri birthday decorations. They also have an in house floral studio where you can buy fresh blooms, gorgeous vases, or potted fig trees. I'll definitely be returning!!! read more

I would give this business 5 stars based on their quality of baked items and the fun things that they sell for gifts, but every time I try to go to the one in Hailey they close early. Their hours say they are open until 6:00, I went there at 5:47 tonight to pickup something for a gift, the doors were locked and the girl was counting the till and would not look at me. I found them at the Ketchum farmer's market this Tuesday. The baguette I purchased was every bit as good as the ones we get in France - which is a high bar to meet. They had a charming bouquet of flowers on the table and I plan to head back to their shop this weekend to find some flowers for our place. I can't wait to discover more delights from their shop.
