However, my favorite part was the bakery. We tried the cranberry-lime poppyseed bread. I enjoyed it because it was not too sweet and the cranberries baked into it were delicious. My daughter had the lemon meringue tart and said it was good but a little dry. She enjoyed her big vanilla sprinkled macaron though. My absolute favorite was the seasonal offering of a strawberry-rhubarb tart. I cannot say how much I loved this pastry. It was perfect from the filling to the crust. The filling didn't taste like it had any added sugar and the strawberries served as the sweet to the tart of the rhubarb. The crust was light and you could see the layers that were just firm enough but melded perfectly with the pie filling. There was a brown sugar oatmeal and butter crumble on top that added all the sweet you need. I wish I could eat this every day and will come to visit every time I am back this way just for the chance to savor this perfect pastry again. Thank you!

We actually had free flowers from another vendor in addition to Primavera, part of a wedding package, but they were quite lackluster in comparison. Any other place would have tossed them aside, and Primavera should have told us "no way." Not only did Primavera do a great job tying in our ideas and theme, but when the other vendor was unprepared, Primavera graciously bailed them out, integrated the other flowers skillfully and tastefully, and saved our wedding flowers. And after that, they were still humble and respectful about it. We were on location, worked with them remotely, communicated easily, and came to the same vision. I called back to talk to Karen and ask what happened. She passed the phone off to her asst and said she was busy. I was assured she would call me back, but she did not. I offered her the chance to discuss and make it right. She chose to ignore me. I hope people read this review. I feel duped and ripped off.

I trust her to tell me when a book is overhyped and when a great book's been flying under the radar. Even in Brooklyn, I order all my books from their Bookshop and Libro.fm sites because I love supporting the store. It's often a one-woman show, with Sarah working seven days a week and putting a sign up when she needs to take the kids to soccer practice, etc. What's more independent than that?
