Love the exterior, a beautiful entry way with lavender and gorgeous plants, and their you enter into an outstanding store with a superb layout, along with just about anything you would like in outdoor apparel and gear. It really rocks. The highlight is the quality of the customer service, as their staff is friendly, experienced, and so knowledgeable. They interact so well, and aren't pushy like so many stores. Instead of selling me a new head set, the owner suggested re-tappining it. One mechanic stopped what he was doing and dug out his tap set and cleaned it up perfectly. The threads were great but the bolt holding it in was too short...both mechanics started tearing the shop apart looking for the longer bolts that fit it. They find the package of extra bolts and just give it to me. This would have been great service if I'd bought my bike there, but its incredible service considering I'm just a random guy coming thru town who can't ride his bike until I get it fixed. Thanks so much guys, I will recommend you to anyone looking for a shop in Ketchum!

Well, my wife has recently taken up knitting and has decided to carry on the tradition. My family and I were on vacation in Ketchum over the Christmas holiday and were looking to purchase some yarn for knitting. Thankfully we found Sun Valley Needle Arts, and it did not disappoint. From the outside the store seems like it's going to be very small, but don't be deceived, there was much more room inside than I had thought. And you know what more room means, more selection! For a store this size I thought they were going to be limited on selection, but they were not limited at all! They had plenty of yarn, they had plenty of knitting supplies, plenty of crochete supplies, and plenty of cross-stitch supplies. There was even an entire room in the back of the store with even MORE selection! The best part about the store though were the ladies working there (in all honesty some of them may have just been there visiting). But they were all EXTREMELY helpful. They were genuinely friendly and welcoming. They answered all of our questions, and took the time to have a brief conversation with all of us. My wife eventually settled on some locally dyed yarn to make something. As I said, they had a good selection and we were able to really find something that my wife loved. And the best part, everything was really reasonably priced. We all commented how we wished we had more time in the area, we would have just come by and hung out, and done some knitting. Years ago they were selling hoodies that said Sun Valley on them, which i thought was pretty cool, but I didn't notice that on this particular visit. I didn't buy anything when visiting this weekend, but did get to check out a few sports bras and hoodies in person that I had been eyeing online. I also noticed they sold long underwear in the store, which i didn't think Lulu made....will be keeping that in mind for the next ski season. The staff was also super helpful. They were willing to help, but not overly pushy which is always appreciated. I always end up doing a little shopping while in Ketchum and will continue to stop in here when in town!

However, about 30 minutes later, we saw other customers walking around with lattes, which was confusing since no one explained that the machine was working again. The food also took a long time to come out. We were understanding of the wait, but the final item, a simple bowl of oatmeal had apparently been forgotten and didn't arrive until much later. We also witnessed another table being told that their breakfast order would not be honored because the kitchen has a strict 11:00 a.m. breakfast cutoff. That seemed frustrating, especially after they had already placed their order. The food itself was good, but the service and communication left a lot to be desired. Better communication with guests would have made the experience much smoother. Given the size and popularity of the restaurant, having a dedicated busser could help the front of-house staff stay on top of orders and tables without becoming overwhelmed.

All those favorite brands that I mentioned back in my 2011 review are now nonexistent...or at least they were last week. In the 10 minutes I spent in the store I didn't see a single thing I wanted to buy for my daughter, which is a rare occurrence when it comes to me and kids stores. There were a few cute things for my son, but nothing worth the price tag. The woman who works here barely looked up to say hello or ask if she could help. Save your $ and head to Tator Tots for the kiddos instead.

Management clearly has received numerous complaints regarding this pharmacist because I heard the same story from the competing pharmacies ... but more importantly from people within the drug store itself. We had just arrived in Sun valley for a long awaited getaway. On the flight out we began to feel a bit under the weather. By the time we woke up the next day we were both significantly under the weather. We had a function that evening and to be on the safe side we took a COVID test..... sadly we were both positive. I was recommended to other pharmacies but they didn't have the drug we were looking for. We tried Chateau Drug and they said they had one last prescription. I kindly told her that the other pharmacy would transfer the prescription and she said no and she would get around to it when she got around to it. We went to the Drug store and asked if she was able to make the call and she said we weren't her only customer and she would do it when she got around to it and then she would call me when it was ready.... All in a rude fashion. I then asked if she could give me an approximate time frame because I was feeling really badly and driving was tough for me and her response was " Why do you come to our town spreading COVID" loudly so others could hear. She said she would call us as soon as it was ready. We knew she wouldn't call.We waited and waited and after three hours I called back and she told me the meds were ready. We went back up there and got one prescription as the other was 1500 dollars. She aggressively dropped the prescription on the counter, took my credit card info and we left. Do pharmacists not have ethics training or empathy? This is the first time in 40 years where I saw a pharmacist who should not be dealing with people. Sun Valley is a beautiful place with lovely people and I know she is an aberration but she should not be in a position where she has any interaction with people.TWO BIG THUMBS DOWN
