Huck and Paddle completely breaks the mold. The whole shop is curated (and I use that word intentionally) from a very unique perspective. It is filled with interesting objects, large and small. Inevitably, one of these objects will strike your fancy and demand to be taken with you when you leave town. The owner is delightful, and is committed to her aesthetic. We got to discussing some items I thought would make sense in her store, and she immediately got online to see what I was talking about. Oh, and she has something for everyone. Me, Mama Q and Not-So-Little Q all found things we wanted to bring back to SF. I hope Huck and Paddle survives, I'd like to visit her shop again next year!

We love coming here each year & will return again next winter to see what is new. My husband loves the candles, some of which are made in house. I love the jewelry but wish some of the necklaces came in larger sizes for my neck. Gorgeous paddles too, if only we had a use for those.

She is patronizing and treats you as if she were a second grader. Unfortunately, she did not mention (although she now claims she did) that the store will only issue store credit for returns and not credit it back to your credit card. On the whole the items are very nice but pricey. They have UPS bill you separately for shipping. I will be keeping the phone case strap, since I would be unlikely to use the store credit. A perusal of their internet site shows me nice enough but overpriced items.

One carries super expensive designer clothes- Prada, Dolce & Gabana, etc. The Elle Rose next door is more in my price range and carries all of my favorite designers- Theory, Tahari, Nanette Lepore. I could have dropped lots of cash in this store today because they had some really adorable clothes, jewelry, purses, belts, etc. However, then I remembered my New Years Resolution to save more money and spent my time browsing and talking with the super friendly sales associates instead. Come to think of it...it's still 2006 so I may have to go back for more shopping before the new year.

When she saw my mask, she instantly began to harass me (unprovoked), saying that corona isn't real, no one gets sick from it, and I was stupid to wear a mask inside of her store. To make matters worse the woman told me she previously had corona, and her friends had it too, but she still didn't care about the danger of spreading it to me. If you are at all concerned about your safety, cleanliness, or don't want to be harassed for your beliefs, I recommend staying far away from this store.

Well, my wife has recently taken up knitting and has decided to carry on the tradition. My family and I were on vacation in Ketchum over the Christmas holiday and were looking to purchase some yarn for knitting. Thankfully we found Sun Valley Needle Arts, and it did not disappoint. From the outside the store seems like it's going to be very small, but don't be deceived, there was much more room inside than I had thought. And you know what more room means, more selection! For a store this size I thought they were going to be limited on selection, but they were not limited at all! They had plenty of yarn, they had plenty of knitting supplies, plenty of crochete supplies, and plenty of cross-stitch supplies. There was even an entire room in the back of the store with even MORE selection! The best part about the store though were the ladies working there (in all honesty some of them may have just been there visiting). But they were all EXTREMELY helpful. They were genuinely friendly and welcoming. They answered all of our questions, and took the time to have a brief conversation with all of us. My wife eventually settled on some locally dyed yarn to make something. As I said, they had a good selection and we were able to really find something that my wife loved. And the best part, everything was really reasonably priced. We all commented how we wished we had more time in the area, we would have just come by and hung out, and done some knitting. Really great shop!
