They're also committed to cutting out the middleman, such as a store, market, or distributor. Located in the heart of Tarrytown on Main Street, we decided to meet up for brunch at Sweet Grass Grill. The reservation was easily made via Yelp. Al fresco seating filled the sidewalks in front of the dog-friendly eatery, and the open door allows chitchat to move freely in and out, creating a lively yet comfortable vibe. Upon entering as first-timers, the wooden bar commands attention, where my partner, his family, and I were greeted by the staff. The bar top is made from a slab of wood salvaged from a single fallen oak tree on the Rockefeller Preserve. We got a cozy table at the front window inside a bright, airy interior with earthy accent colors. Their menu features rustic New American cuisine with many vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options that change with the seasons. We decided on the Veggie Buffalo "Wings" with a side of fries, the Grass-Fed Cheeseburger, the Mushroom "Cheesesteak," and Maine Mussels. Complimentary vegan banana bread started our meal. Every dish at our table was cooked to perfection, beautifully presented and full of flavor. Reasonable price, and the service was attentive, warm, genuinely welcoming, and patient. Our server was Terence. Voted Best of Westchester, it was a wonderful experience, and we can't wait for a repeat performance.

The only one I might not care to repeat is the Chimichurri Steak, the flavor was great, the beef was a bit chewy. If you like spicy they have options. The portion size is good, and worth the price. I am starting to recognize the staff, which to me is a good thing, suggesting less turnover than a lot of places. There's a frequent flyer program that will get you a free salad after about 8-10 orders. There are four or five tables for four, and a counter with hightop chairs for solo diners. I wish they had a two top, as I do not care to sit so high, and I usually take a table. Most customers takeaway, so there is usually plenty of space, even when the place is humming. Recommended.

They were generous with the breaded chicken cutlet bites. In hindsight I should have only dressed half the salad so I could save the rest for dinner or next day lunch. The portion is big, too much for me at one time but I had dumped the dressing already on all the salad so no saving what I couldn't eat. BTW the dressing was very tasty, more barbecue than zesty. Considering the size and ingredients I think $13.45 is a fairly reasonable price. Once you tax on the delivery service we used, taxes, tip it was $18. I would order again as there were many other salads the peaked my interest.

S&S is LOADED with options and you won't be disappointed. I wasn't- and I'm picky. The 'Stir Fry' Zoodles bowl called my attention- but they were all out and was asked if I wanted to replace the Zoodles with Quinoa or Brown Rice- so settled for the first. I also grabbed a Portobello+Mozzarella+ Balsamic Drizzle panini- which tasted terrific, was still hot and travelled well. This wife and husband team are running a tight ship and it shows. Both my items were packed with bold flavors and can I also say, garlic? Quite honestly, they're putting Sweet & Savory a few steps further than your average health food spot.

I was so happy as I love all things lemon and was very excited to try - thinking I found a place that had pancakes that was as good as Golden Diner but closer to home with parking so off I went. They have small sidewalk seating but I chose to eat inside where there are a few tables and cute art on the walls. I ordered my pancakes with a side of bacon and settled in mouth watering. There are four small pancakes on the plate slathered with a lemon glaze and while I do love lemon, it was so much glaze that it was overpowering the actual taste of the pancakes. There was also and entire side of fruit which offset the tartness of all that lemon so that was good. Now when I say I ordered a side of bacon and received a SIDE of bacon I'm not lying. There were at least six pieces if not more of nicely cooked bacon which I enjoyed. While I wasn't a fan of the pancakes, I would absolutely go back to try some of their other breakfast items as everything looked so good.

The regular side salad that came with the pork was pretty sad: it was mostly just wet lettuce with barely any dressing, and because the greens were so wet, whatever dressing was there just slid right off. We also ordered the pop chicken, which took the longest to prepare despite it not being particularly busy. When it finally came out, it was inconsistent and mostly made up of dried-up, hard-to-chew, overcooked pieces. Decent corn dogs and an okay pork dish save it from a lower rating, but given the wait time and quality issues on the chicken and salad, it's a middle-of-the-road three stars.
