    Cheese Pie with Pepperoni
    Paula M.

Family owned, long standing restaurant in the community. We were greeted and sat by a very friendly lady who sat us in a nice corner booth. Large restaurant that has another room past the bar for busy weekends or large parties. Our server, Ziggy, was very nice and took our drink order right away. We ended up getting a large pie, 1/2 pepperoni and an arugula and goat cheese salad. The salad was topped with very thin sliced almonds, and a delicious balsamic. The goat cheese and arugula were both very fresh, and it was one of the best salads I've had out. Simple yet incredible. The pizza came out piping hot. Thin, crispy and crunchy crust. The pepperoni slice was flavorful but a tiny bit greasy. Maybe hard to avoid though with pepperoni. The cheese slice was good but lacked salt, but there was salt on the table to add to taste. It's actually kind of nice to not have an overly salty slice you can't do anything about. The pizza held up well, a little bend in the front but just a tiny bit. Perfect really. The crust stayed crispy til the end. I also enjoyed adding the arugula salad on top of the slice to mix it up. The roof of my mouth is still burned because I couldn't wait for it to cool off. It was that good. The staff was really friendly and you can't beat the family vibe.

Super thin crust pizza that you only get from old school New York spots. Family run, super welcoming and warming people. Highly recommended and great for families with young kids. Also one of the best penne vodkas I've had!

Food is always good and plentiful. Came with my daughter and her husband, my granddaughter and her husband with their 2 and 4 year olds. Ordered pizza for an appetizer. Then had pasta dishes and chicken and pork chops. Service was great. The atmosphere is always warm and welcome. Another good family time at Roma's. Sal E New Rochelle

My brother and I visited ROMA RESTAURANT on Friday evening, July 18. It was our first time there, and immediately we were greeted by one of the owners Filly. We immediately felt like we were at our family's home, and she told us you are in my home now. The service, the food, the hospitality were all amazing. We asked Filly for food recommendations, and she immediately suggested what we should eat as first timers Roma. We followed her recommendations, and the food was delicious, and it immediately brought back memories of our parents and grandparents family dinners. The lasagna was delicious and huge, and the amazing pizza had the thinnest and crispiest crust. And you have to try the delicious meatballs, and the amazing toasted almond cake, dessert Even though the restaurant was so busy, Michael (Filly's husband and co-owner) came to our table and spoke with us for an extended period of time about their almost 100 year history and about our families. Last, but not least, Val our waiter, provided great service, hospitality and was so very attentive to us. Overall, it was an amazing evening at this rare old-school style and amazing restaurant. We so much appreciated everyone and everything! We will be back again very soon and thank you, Best wishes, continued success and God bless. Ken & Lou, the Bronx Guys..

Romas is an old family run favorite Italian restaurant in Tuckahoe dating back three generations to 1931. My husband's family and I have been frequent customers for many many years. We love their thin crust pizzas and many varieties of pastas. Buon appétito!

My family eats here quite frequently and they never disappoint! Whether you order a pasta dish or one of the tasty entrees, you can't go wrong. Tip: always end the night with a cappuccino!

First…read moreof all, it's a small place which I like but the ambiance was ruined by their choice of music. Awful early 90's music, Tina Marie stuff which was very popular in the Bronx back then. They need to change that and go Italian or classical. Served hot rolls which were great and came with an eggplant spread. Very good. My hubby ordered the octopus salad. Excellent. He ordered the black squid ink pasta with lump crab. AWFUL. AWFUL. He is from Rome so I'm not surprised he didn't like it. It was just dried black pasta with canned fake crab all floating in water, not a sauce. I had the Bolognese with fettuccine. I knew if this restaurant was truly good, the dish would say it all. It did. No flavor AT ALL! The pasta was exactly the same as those noodles you get with Raman noodles in the grocery store. It was strange. I tried to eat it and then I see my husband fish out a hair from his dish. That was that. Got the check without a complaint from us. You are given no choice but to start tipping at 20% and up. Just an fyi. I do not understand why the reviews here are glowing. Same on Google. Sorry. I'm not believing them. I won't be back. And btw, there were 6 tables by 6pm. They're not as busy as they lead you to believe.

I also tried the truffle pizza. I loved the ambiance here. We even ran into an old friend who lives nearby, and she confirmed what the vibe already suggested, this is very much a go-to spot for locals. Parking is manageable. There's metered street parking, and if that's tight, there's a paid lot around the corner with plenty of space, which makes things easier. Service was solid. Our waitress had clearly been there a while and carried that local familiarity, comfortable, knowledgeable, and attentive without overdoing it. To drink, I ordered The Perfect Gentleman, and it lived up to the name. You immediately pick up the chamomile aroma, which gives it a really smooth, refined feel. A well-crafted cocktail. We started with the Crema Di Burrata and Arancini alla Piemontese, both were excellent. The burrata was fresh and creamy with just the right balance of seasoning, and the truffle and mushroom risotto balls delivered great flavor and texture. For dinner, we shared the Goat Cheese Pizza. While the combination of walnuts, balsamic red onions, baby arugula, and truffle honey sounded great on paper, it came out a bit on the drier side and felt like it was missing that extra punch to bring it all together. We wrapped up with Hazelnut Chocolate bonbons, which were a nice, sweet finish to the meal. We went in not overly hungry, but between the apps, pizza, and dessert, it ended up being more than enough. Overall, it's easy to see why this place has a strong local following. Definitely a spot I'd recommend, especially if you're in or around Eastchester.
