Lasagna slice and garlic knots.

Delicious! One of my go to pizza spots in Yonkers. Yes, I know I'm so close to the Bronx, why not go there for an authentic slice. Why? Because this place is just as good. Trust me, I would not steer you wrong. The service from everyone is fantastic. Always nice, always checking in to make sure you're okay

I like this place. Reason number one a slice here is $3.25. to be fair for the most part the rest of this area is saturated with overpriced "mehhhh" slices. The pizza is quality the sauce is kind of a savory more brindy quality...but it's NY pizza. there's a whole host of different things you can purchase here as well but the general notion is that its quality and quantity which is good because living in this entire area is over the top expensive. The fact they don't poach the customer deserves respect. Reason number 2 I've eaten here over the course of three decades and it's kept it a consistent formula. That's got to count for something. Reason number three the previous owner almost ran me down in an SUV on Allerton avenue and yes it was my fault I almost died but he hit the brakes. That's got to count for something as well.

Regular slice (with added garlic and oregano)

There are new owners. The Pizza used to be top notch but, now it's average and varies each visit.

But since we wrapped up with errands in the area, Scaramella's was it. Located in a mini strip mall in Dobbs Ferry, Scaramella's is very old-school- but with a splash of class and then some. Once you pass the foyer, their bar area greets you followed by their large dining room. At about 5pm on a Saturday, you can be seated with no issues. Any time after that, folks start piling up. Our server Anne Marie was no bull-shitter; got to the chase when she gave me a hush-hush tip on a Pear Salad I was eyeing. She's my girl alright. Our appetizers, were plentiful and tasty. Forget our main plates- because if you think you'll be getting a polite portion of pasta or any meal at that- think again. I honestly don't know if hub's spinach pasta was homemade- but that sucker was good. My $40 Swordfish+fresh carrots with an unexpected corn+ spinach medley, was tasty and abundant. Actually, I had leftovers. Can I also mention that these folks don't play around with their pours because my Lemon Drop was potent! Listen, I don't care that Scaramella's is located in strip mall or that my auntie-in-law didn't enjoy her meal years ago. From the looks of it, this place is happy-loud and has character. And no, it's not totally easy to park outside. That aside, our meals were satisfying, well-priced and the happy chaos, is all part of Scaramella's local charm.

It's a mom and pop restaurant, the pasta made fresh , wry delicious!, service was quick and fast for lunch, the locals , hang out there. They have a lunch menu& dinner menu, while eating , you listen to Italian songs, the decorations puts you in a scene of old Italy. We ordered the fried calamari/ fried meatballs, bolognese & tortellini nonna . We loved the meal, made , prepared , just right, , not bad for lunch , not crowed , we ate peacefully , cause most people are at work, dinner can be hectic as per our waiter. Til next time,

Bread was fresh which is essential for any great restaurant - nailed it. Chicken scarp is a must order! Have the option of going w/ sweet, hot, or mixed peppers. Also had the apple wrap dessert, not heavy which I appreciated. Surprised at the affordable prices given top-notch ingredients. Psyched to go back.

The table of five across from us had the owner Tina visit their table twice to ask how they were doing. Mind you, there were only two other tables of people in the restaurant: our table and another table with one man sitting at it. Yet, the owner didn't see fit to visit all of the tables to ask how the food was or how our first time dining in the restaurant was. Also, it was very cold in the place. I asked for the heat to be turned up since it was 34 degrees outside and I didn't want to come out of the cold to come into the cold to dine but it never got turned up so I ate with my coat on. Anyhoo, suffice it to say that we've eaten at better Italian restaurants and we won't be going back to this restaurant. T & J's in Portchester, NY and Pappino's in Katonah, NY are much, much better and well worth the ride.

We had a fantastic meal and an all-around great experience. For appetizers, we shared the octopus, a Margherita pizza, and fresh tomatoes with mozzarella drizzled with balsamic. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I ordered the Pork Chop Milanese and absolutely loved it -- the breading was perfectly crisp and seasoned just right. I also had a chance to try my wife's lobster ravioli, which was rich and delicious. The ambiance was comfortable and inviting, perfect for a special night out without feeling over-the-top. For dessert, we had cannolis with a light filling I hadn't tasted before -- not overly sweet, just smooth and really good. Our young Italian waiter was on top of his game all night. He was attentive, professional, and even humored most of my dad jokes. Highly recommend this spot. Go, eat fresh, drink moderately, and tip well.

The hostess asked us if we could go by 4 which honestly I love the honesty and the ability to try and work with us. I said absolutely we have to catch a movie. It was 3 pm at the time. We got out by 3:47 could have been earlier even but we were waiting for the check. Service was really good though. Ambiance is great in there. I used to exclusively go here only in spring and enjoy the outdoor space. I've gone multiple times now in winter. They have nice flowers and art inside which is very nice to enjoy. For food we got the stuffed Sicilian, delicious. Then for entrees we got the pasta your way. We did penne alla vodka and added a crispy chicken cutlet. Their cutlets are nice and thin and crispy. We…read moredidn't have bike locks with us, so I went inside to ask the manager, Bill, if we could leave our bikes in the (closed) patio area since we were worried about them being stolen. Unfortunately, he was extremely dismissive and simply said no, then added that there were no tables available for us--which was odd considering the group right after us got seated immediately. I'm not sure if it was how we were dressed or what, but his overall attitude felt very cold and unwelcoming. We ended up sitting at the bar, and to be fair, Bill did help coordinate with the bartender Ana to get us seats together, which I appreciated. Ana herself was kind and attentive, though when we asked for food recommendations, she mostly just said "everything is great." I personally prefer a bit more honest guidance. For food, we shared the Hot Honey Roni Sicilian, Caesar salad, and calamari fritti. The pizza was definitely the highlight--super delicious and satisfying, especially as my first time trying that style. The Caesar salad was good, but for $16, I found the portion a bit small. The calamari was also solid, though we didn't love the sauce it came with. While we were eating, Bill noticed where we had placed our bikes (near the stairs where we could keep an eye on them) and came over rather abruptly, asking why they were in "his garden." Even after my friend apologized, he just walked away. His overall presence throughout the visit really hurt the experience--definitely not the kind of hospitality you expect. Overall, the experience was okay. The drinks were good, and my friend and I always make the best of things, but for the price point (about $80 each with two drinks and tip), I expected better service and slightly more generous portions. I'd consider going back, especially if we're biking in the area again--but next time, we'll definitely bring bike locks...and avoid the garden
