My daughter recently placed an order that ended up being set for the next day. She was able to connect with the store just 15 minutes before closing. The manager or supervisor on duty was extremely nice on assisting us with correcting the time error, making our order right in there and enhancing our order. Unfortunately my daughter order was wrong as they added ingredients that she had requested off, however I wrote an email to customer service with my order information and pictures of what we received. I received an email back with an apology and a credit. Despite an error I want to highlight how great the staff was in accommodating my daughter's error and enhance my specialty bowl just as their were about to close. Chopt is my favorite option for a make-your-own salad, almost exclusively because of their Mama Lil's spicy peppers and Mexican Caesar dressing. This is a standard location. I ordered a Mediterranean tahini bowl for my mom and the employee initially made it wrong, but corrected his mistake right away. You can order their signature bowls with either warm grains or cauliflower rice. My salad had a good quantity of toppings and the ingredients tasted fresh. The salad came with sourdough bread on the side, which was a welcome upgrade from the hard, dry french bread they have served in the past. read more

Came here after a not-so-great first visit when I ordered a salad I wasn't too thrilled with and received service that was less than desirable. Today was way different. I picked up one of their menus when I joined the line so that I'd be able to figure out what I wanted ahead of time so as not to feel rushed. I wanted to customize a salad wrap and even though I had time to figure out my order, for some reason, the way they take your order is not the same as the way the menu is set up. On the menu, the first thing to choose is which greens you want, such as arugula, cabbage & herb, spinach, etc. The last thing is your protein and dressings. When I got up to the girl who took my order, she asked me about my toppings and I was lost because they don't even call any items, "toppings", on the menu. The menu has 6 categories starting with their greens, fruits & veg, cheese & dairy, grains & beans, crunch and "the goods", which are their protein options. Lastly, at the bottom, are the dressing options. The toppings are apparently everything other than the greens. After being a little thrown off, I was able to make my choices and then we moved down the line to assembly. They still chop your items before assembling them in a huge wrap, the size of a hero/wedge. You can definitely get a two-lunch meal of out one salad wrap. Unfortunately, they don't slice it for you but the way its wrapped up, you can easily eat half with little mess and wrap up the remainder to eat later. Ultimately, I went with their cabbage & cilantro base, wild caught shrimp, scallions, pickled onions, avo, corn, quinoa, tomato, jalapeños, pepper jack cheese and chimichurri ranch dressing. The shrimp had that gulf taste that I'm not too fond of. I wish they had steak instead. I also added a soup to my order for an additional 2.99. The size of the soup is pretty small and I could see paying, maybe 1.99 for it but it was good. I chose their tomato basil. It was creamy and they give you a slice of crusty bread with the soup. Since I had time to kill, I sat inside and ate. They were pretty busy so many of their seats were taken but there is high turnover and a lot of people just eat and leave, so seating always opens up. They also have a communal table in the front. If you're just picking up an order, they have a few time-limited parking spots out front so that you don't have to go searching for parking when you've made your order ahead of arrival. I'm glad I gave them another try. I think I'll be ordering that same salad wrap, minus those gulf shrimp. This would be a good spot for me considering it's close proximity to my home and the fact that you can order ahead. That might make it a little less daunting for me in the future. read more

Chopt doesn't have any shortage of Greens. And if you have doubts, most likely, they have it. Space is large and airy with lots of seating on either side going in, with a walkway leading up to the order line. Did a double-take when I saw the long line, but it went rather quickly. If you're unsure about Salad combos or ingredients, there's a full size menu up on the wall. Chopt has an assembly-line format where someone behind the counter preps your Salad with a nice amount of Veggie, some Fruit, some Nuts, Protein, Beans and Cheese add-ons in containers. Since I don't eat chicken, beef or pork, I was able to customize and swap this for that- and that's exactly how it went down. I liked the 'Crunchy Thai Market Salad' from their "Destination Salads" option- but wanted to wipe out the chicken and use Shrimp as my Protein instead- (with an additional $1.00- which was ok......I guess). I liked the sound of the dressing, but got rid of that too for the 'Chile Cashew Dressing'- which was freaking amazing with a soft heat and not overpowering at all. Except, I thought I scored with my Salad with the Shrimp add-on. But tasted like they had preservatives, chemical or metallic something. (I ate the entire Salad plucking the Shrimp out). Aside from the off-tasting Shrimp, my argument is also paying extra for some toppings- even 79¢ if you want Arugula as your main focus. Regardless if this is a chain or not, my Salad itself (minus Shrimp) was very tasty. I wouldn't mind returning and going for an entire Vegetarian meal. I thought service was speedy and friendly and don't mind the down-the-line idea here. read more

My wife Lucy and I ordered salads from Chopt 2 to 3 times a week for 9 weeks we were in Dobbs Ferry. Every time we went, the establishment was clean, the salads were made to perfection and the beautiful staff were second to none. We were always greeted with beautiful smiles which made the visit even more worth while. Luz, Natalie, and the entire staff at this particular location exceeded our expectations every time we went. Super fresh, super clean, super friendly location! I visited with a friend on a Friday afternoon for lunch and the line moved quickly and we were able to grab a table to enjoy our food. Some of the best staff in the business. These people were so nice and they worked very hard. Fyi, It takes a while from start to finish in the ordering process. Not a big deal though. This doesnt look like easy work considering they are chopping, mixing, and serving with a smile on their faces. Great stuff! The food however did not hit the mark. The salad was bland. The problem is the salad looks better than it tastes. I ordered the classic cobb salad and everything tasted the same. It was kind of weird. I think it is because all the ingredients are pre cut and it loses its freshness. The saving grace was the staff were all very friendly. They do a great job. As mentioned in other comments, there was no selection of fresh peppers other than jalapeño, and no fresh onions, only fried ones. Regardless it was still very tasteful. The first girl who took our order and put it all in the bowl did have an attitude though which ruins a paying customer's experience. She seemed to be very bothered that customers walked in to order, and even more so annoyed when you started to ask questions because it is your first time so you are curious! The second male who chops the salad was a little nicer but very hard to hear as he talks so low. But he was very kind and let us sample some dressings and even asked what we did not like and steered us away from those. So thank you to this young man! The third female at the cash register was truly a doll! So polite, happy and upbeat!! Definitely the kind of person you want to work in an establishment like this!! The place itself is pretty big, but seems like it could get very crowded during lunch hour. We went today around 3pm so it was pretty empty and very clean. As soon as you walk in the aroma of salad hits you and it smells sooooo good! We will definitely go back to this place as it is very close to home and the food was amazing! What an awesome place to be located right down the street from my job. Whenever I am craving some delicious fresh salad Chopt is always my go-to place. I had the pleasure of speaking with Emily the manager who was so welcoming and sweet. She donated salad to our Grand Opening event for our child care facility. My staff members and I love going here for lunch and are never disappointed with their salads. My favorite salad dressing is their chipotle vinaigrette. It has the perfect balance of spicy. Spotlessly clean, perfectly organized, very well trained staff, always preparing the orders thoughtfully, politely and capably. I've walked in lunchtime when there was a pretty long line (which moved well), on an off time when there was no line and I walked right up to the counter and anything in between. It's always the same well prepared, flavorful offering, prepared and served by an excellent crew! If you want a salad, this is the place to be. So, there is an expression, "you have to take the bad with the good." In a previous review, I gave them 5 stars and was so pleased with the consistent great service. THAT CAME TO AN END RECENTLY: 2 TIMES. - My order on the app was not ready when I came to pick it up 30 minutes after it said it would be ready. No one even knew about my order. Plus the people there were downright NOT NICE about it, especially a young African-American man, whose voice is dripping with attitude, not in a good way. I contacted the MGR and she said I could go in anytime and get a free salad. Well, today was the day. And as irony would have it. Guess who took my order? The same guy. And right to my face, 2 or 3 times, be made comments about how awful I was that he did not think I would catch. I showed him on my phone, the salad I always get, which I wanted. I was so excited to see that they were putting in a Chop't as I drove by on the Saw Mill Parkway on a daily basis. Yes they're a little expensive, but everything is so good - plus they blow Chipotle next door out of the water on quantity of food. I hate making salad myself - it always ends up so unappealing. Dear god this place is trash. I get it the employees hate their job, get a new one then. I don't give a f if your friends are there to take a snap chat of you, the place is slow as it is so why make it slower. Came in with my family to eat at Chopt. My niece wanted to get chipotle next door and brought it back to Chopt to join us to eat. The table we sat at was unstable, causing her soda to fall and spill over the table and her. The chair she was sitting on was also unstable, which resulted in my niece losing her balance and falling off her chair. It was a mess, but understandable that it was an accident. However an older female employee decided to chastise us for bringing chipotle in, rather than helping or even apologizing for the unstable table that caused the spill. To clarify, we also ordered Chopt, we didn't just show up with chipotle and decide to crash at Chopt. I was then left to clean up everything while the employee just stared at us. That really didn't bother me, but it was her attitude and commentary that spoiled the experience more than anything. The toppings are very limited, how could a salad bar not have red peppers or roasted red peppers? There was no radish, onions, fruits, corn or mushrooms. The Cesar dressing is very salty and bubbly. The Salad I had was very distasteful, bland and soggy. I definitely would never return to this establishment and would not recommend for anyone. Great salad. Great service. Clean venue. I love Chopt salad and I am so glad there is now one right off the the Saw Mill. I've never had a bad experience here but just wish there could be more chopping stations open during the busy lunch and dinner hours. Other than that I have no complains.
