I told the employees it was my first visit and they were kind enough to explain all the options for me. They also suggested the dressings to pair with the steak. Literally obsessed. This is the closest location to me and it is about a 25-30min drive and I look for any excuse to get here at least once a week. Like many in the past 10-15 years they have the fast casual model with a Mediterranean spread that will leave you full and satisfied, but not stuffed and sluggish. I fell in love with Cava about 5 years ago at the soft opening Yelp Event of the Wall Street location. Needless to say I wasn't making it to Wall Street often if at all. I was reacquainted with Cava last year during one of my extended stays in SC. When I returned back to NY I had to look for new locations, while there are now quite a few around the city, I don't particularly choose to go that route because of parking. So while this location is a drive I do not mind it at all. Every single time I come my bowl of 1/2greens and 1/2 grains with chicken and pita chips on the side is going hit every time! While I wish I had a closer location, I'm nervous that if they begin to pop up all over (like the other place that also starts with a "C") they will start to decline. So if they keep up the good work I will continue to make my weekly drive. Just A Note: The pita chips are good by themselves and even better when they are warm. Also do yourself a favor and try any combo of their juices until you find your perfect mix. read more

Finally checked out Cava which I coined the Mediterranean Chipotle. It was my first visit. The employees were friendly explaining the base, meat, topping and dressing options. I got the steak bowl with brown rice and various toppings. I really enjoyed how flavorful the meat and toppings were. The staff was awesome . Two thumbs up. I would come back again to try more items. Always a great time when I come to Cava. The food is great, restaurant is clean and friendly service. The portions are huge and worth the price you pay. For my base I got basmati rice and spinach. Toppings: I got half harissa chicken, half braised lamb Hummus, tzatziki, corn, olives, picked onions and got their house made harissa dressing. The dressing is so good and has a nice kick to it. If you enjoy spicy food then this is what you want to get. Every bite was packed with flavor. For 3 plates we paid about $53. It was definitely worth it and left satisfied. There aren't many cava locations nearby so it was about a 25-30 minute drive. Wasn't too bad but wish there were locations closer. read more

Soda machine was out, yet still selling sodas with no apologies or refunds once purchased. Cookies, and especially the brownies/Blondies are an absolute rip-off and are embarrassing small for the price! Glad it was company money, and not mine, buying them for a client! I love the food here. I work in the Harrison area and visit often on my lunch break. However, I do not recommend ordering on the app. The quality/quantity is not consistent and some toppings may be missing. It's much faster to just order in person as well. Where to begin....you know there are times when you are in the mood for a particular food and you find a place that prepares it. I went into Cava based on a recommendation. Saw they did in fact have Falafel on the menu. Having grown up in an area with great authentic Falafel I figured I'd give it a try. The menu states "crispy" as they should be. I ordered what was a Chef Special i guess. Well I get my "torpedo" home and proceed to unwrap it. Boy was this thing a complete mess! The pita was soaked, the Falafel not crispy way too many toppings. All the extras really took away from the main character, the Falafel. Sadly the Falafel had very little flavor or they were just overwhelmed by the pickles, cabbage, tomatoes, the sauces. After what felt like drinking my pita and evaluating the value quotient, I came to the conclusion my experience was not great. read more

Now for the main attraction, the salads~ the Market Spice salad was drenched in salad dressing, to the point where I couldn't enjoy it; the Harissa Avocado was pretty good though. I would say the service is inconsistent, as I went there a second time, we both got the Harissa Avocado salad, and the server did not include the rice that was supposed to go with it. And did I mention that the total was $46 for two salads, two pita chips, and two drinks? Overall, the meal was okay and pricey. First time visiting Cava after hearing about it from friends. I was definitely surprised by the flavors, everything was delicious. I did find the process to be very similar like ordering at Chipotle but more flavors. I believe each bowl came out to 15+ which I found to be a bit pricy. The food here is excellent--lean, healthy, and delicious! Although the place is often busy during weekday lunches, the line moves quickly. There's plenty of seating and parking available. I visit two or three times a week, and I've noticed that the food quality at this location is better than that of the Greenwich, CT restaurant on West Putnam Ave. Despite my office being closer to Greenwich, I prefer driving to this location for fresher, better-quality meals. The flavor concept is great! A Mediterranean build-your-own eatery similar to Chipotle(yuck) and Moe's. One of the highlights is that there are a variety of vegan and vegetarian options so you won't get bored. The downfall is that you must build your own and because people tend to stick with what they know, everyone may not get to experience the multitude of amazing flavors that CAVA has to offer. And my experience is why they only get 4(almost 3)stars. Walk in, 2 guys and a girl working. The 2 guys both spoke but the girl did not. Then i was UNfortunate enough to have the non-speaking girl help me. I had never been here before, so i asked hours out worked and what they offered. Attitude. Then i said i was bad at decisions in places like CAVA and asked if she could offer suggestions. Nothing. It was a very cold interaction. She had nothing to say, no suggestions, no smile, and not even a thank you at the end. If it wasn't for the other employees speaking when i walked in, i probably would have walked out in the middle of preparing my bowl. I ended up getting a little bit of everything. The bowl was so tasty and filling. I would def go back again. At least now i know the items i like & love, and the 1(yes, only 1) item that i will avoid. I love working so close to here! You really can't go wrong with this Mediterranean spot. Spicy lamb meatballs are the best ($1.45 extra).
