Sofia's is a little pizzeria that's tucked into this quiet street corner among a few other eateries on Harrison Ave. We've ordered for takeout several times and even dined in on occasion. They remodeled a few years ago and the white tiled dining room is pretty spacious and comfortable now. When we recently ordered several large pies for the office, they delivered a 1/2 hr earlier than expected and the pies were still pretty hot. There were 3 large cheese pies, 1 pepperoni and 1 veggie, but the clear favorite was the chicken bacon ranch pie drizzled with ranch dressing because that disappeared quickly. C'mon, who can refuse bacon? Plus they do a slightly thicker crust than other pizzerias in the neighborhood, they generously pile on the cheese almost as thick as the crust and the number of pepperoni per slice was a lot. The wedge/hero sandwiches are alright, but nothing spectacular. I do want to try the pasta meals though, when we order-in during late night shifts at the office. read more

Went there today and boy has this place gone downhill. I ordered the chicken parm lunch special and it was covered in cheese with very little chicken and the pasta took 3/4 of the plate. The sauce wasn't good either. Gone are the days with Vic at the helm read more

This is a great place! I came here for a birthday party; we took over the entire restaurant. I tried their salad and mozzarella cheese sticks. Their pizza and chicken tenders looked great, too. I loved the friendly staff and the newly renovated inside of this place. I'll definitely stop back to try their pizza. read more

Went with a couple of good friends of mine to dinner, we were greeted as soon as we walked in by Claudia the owner . We ate Calamari Antipasto salad and Chicken Scarp and Chicken Parm wedge Food was Great Portions were Big and Service was Excellent. The best Pizza in Harrison and probably all of Westchester! Same owners and staff for 40 years. They just did a beautiful renovation, without raising prices 25-30 percent, like the other restaurants in the neighborhood. Try it, you'll love it! read more

last night we ordered Chicken Scarpariello, pasta on side,, and an order of meatballs for take-out. The chicken dish was nothing like we are used to, made in a watery white sauce, which when packed had soaked the bag, paper plates. The meatballs were the worst......absolutely tasteless, dry, no seasoning - all bread. all of this sitting in my fridge....hoping to doctor it up. cost: $34 ! The marinara sauce was bitter, as though directly out of a can. We will not return. We ordered from them only bc of the convenience of walking down the street. There are quite a few excellent Italian restaurants in Harrison, from now on I'll drive gladly. Questioning f they've changed the cook. read more

My good friends are regular customers at this restaurants and I can certainly see why they like this restaurant so much. It is the kind of place that you would walk by and see as another pizza place but once you give it a try you are hooked. The seafood pasta dishes are delicious and the cheesecake is the best! The pizza here is ok. Don't order cannolis. We have ordered them on two separate occasions and both times they were HOLLOW. Just a bit of cream on the ends. Once is a mistake, twice is purposeful. Tried to support small business, but if they cut corners like this, no thanks. read more

This used to be the best pizzeria in Harrison. Recently this was sold to new owners and the prices have sky rocketed. I understand inflation but $28 for grilled chicken and broccoli rabe is absurd. There are about 5 pizza places in Harrison. Sofia is best, since they have a great crust, fresh always hot pizza, gluten free options, and they don't burn there pizza like some other places in Harrison. My family always get the meals as well, which are flavorful and always delicious. And of course gent service is the best part of this place. The waitresses are awesome and always so friendly. Sofia's turned me into an Italian food lover. The house bread is AMAZING. Seriously, try it. We've been there several times now and there hasn't been a meal that wasn't just what we were craving. Even their basic house dressing is just right. Veal or chicken francese, penne and vodka sauce, classic garlic and olive oil over penne, shrimp parmigiana, meatball wedge, pizza. You name it, it is delicious. End your dinner with coffee and classic Italian desserts. Can't go wrong here. If you have a little one, they even give them some pizza dough to play with so you can enjoy your meal. Amazing family feeling. read more

Sofia's is a staple in Harrison (my home town) I have been coming to Sofia's since I was a baby! This is a restaurant that actually cares about serving quality food at a fair price. I am very picky about pizza; this was the first place I got pizza from in Harrison when I moved here and I haven't felt the need to try anywhere else because I like Sofia's so much! Great old school Italian red sauce and pizza place. Rating should really be more of a 3.5 but I have a soft spot for the Chicken Scarp so I round up. The place can be a little inconsistent but it usually ranges from ok to great so its worth a chance. read more

For the people who are looking to eat legit pizza come here, but be aware that you will get hooked on the Buffalo chicken pie for the rest of the night. Never drink and get tipsy it will lead you to eating 5 slices of pizza for the night. So stay away people if you don't want to get fat. Changed my mind go to this place and get a legit pie of Buffalo chicken or pepperoni and sausage pizza. The guy in the front when I first moved to the area is no longer there, they replaced him with another person who is really nice, attentive, and knows how to make a legit pie. The pasta primavera was like they opened a can of mixed vegetables and poured it over the pasta. Nothing in our order looked homemade. Their eggplant is not crispy, so if that's your liking this isn't the place for you. I think Sofia has stock in garlic. Waaaaaay too much Disappointed in our order. read more

I think I've found the best pizza in Harrison. I know that's a bold statement to make... but I have to go with it. Try a slice of Sicilian and I promise you will have to agree with me. Ok pizza, not the best by NY standards by far, but a nice traditional pizzeria that reminds me of all the summers spent at Grandma's.

So I came to NY to visit my boyfriend, and he goes on and on and on about this place. So I couldn't wait to try it when I got here. The pizza was seriously top notch. And I am very picky about pizza. I got the white pizza, with tons of ricotta and mozzarella cheese. Amazing. Cheese on cheese on cheese!!! Being from the Midwest, good pizza is hard to come by, and this place is sooooo good compared. We're going to return to try the pasta which I heard is also very good. Garlic knots and cannoli topped off our meal. Both absolutely delicious! I will most definitely return whenever I'm visiting! read more
