Orecchiette with broccoli rabe, cannellini and sausage
Michael F.

We had a reservation, but didn't really need it, as we arrived quite early for Saturday dinner. The place is attractive. Service was courteous and attentive. We were given crusty bread with olive oil, and a thin, crispy flatbread. My wife had two appetizers, meatballs and artichokes. I had orecchiete with sausage and broccoli rabe. All dishes were plentiful and tasty, though the tomato sauce for the meatballs seemed rather underseasoned. The orecchiete dish was on the oily side, but tasted good, and the waiter added grated cheese and ground pepper at my request. We passed on dessert, but my wife enjoyed her Montepulciano wine. We agreed that we would consider dining here again. Prices are on the high side, but not unexpectedly so.

Went for Easter. Food and service was excellent. Very nice menu, with specials as well. We started off with the clams casino, and the arancini. I had Papardelle. With the lamb ragu sauce. My husband got the pork chops contindina.

Everything was absolutely amazing about this restaurant, from the decor to the food to the service. I enjoyed the food the most, because I just cannot seem to find Italian food worth eating ever since going to Rome earlier this year but THIS, absolutely the closest like being in Italy all over again! Loved it so much I need to go back .. and I usually don't go to a restaurant more than once!

Service was amazing The waiter stopped by religiously every 5-10 minutes but was not hovering or annoying The ambiance outside was perfect. Clean and crisp spring air, very tidy and in order arrangement of tables and other items...uncluttered. Lighting was adequate. Tables and chairs were the outdoor type and not overly comfortable. Noise and sound ok... not hard to hear or be heard. The food was great. A delightful and generous bread basket with seasoned oil awaited us and made waiting a pleasure! The seasoning was perfect and cooked just right. Chicken was tender as was veal. The coating/crust was delicious with hints of herbs and many flavor notes. My shrimp was grilled and neither squishy nor dried out--great! The portions for the chicken and veal were generous however my salad the greens we'd not so lavish and the number of shrimp almost adequate. Heartily recommend this restaurant! Food was really good! First time here and it was packed! Sat us within minutes! Waiters were all very nice just very busy! The food was really good my seafood salad was my favorite! Chicken cutlet with arugula and tomatoes was really good and the tri color pasta special with seafood also delicious! Would definitely go back! Ambiance was so nice the outside area looked really pretty and decor was simple but classic.

Beautiful restaurant! Upscale feel and well decorated. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Large cocktail and wine menu, as well as food menu. Meatball app was tasty, as was the bread at the table. Pasta was super delicious and a nice portion! Had the tiramisu for dessert as well, which was great. Overall nice ambiance and place to be. On the pricier side but matches the energy and quality of the restaurant.

A short walk from the docks (we arrived by boat) Really nice place with a great menu and both indoor and outdoor seating. Food delicious and drinks made well. Very good service. My friends had the chicken marsala, which looked absolutely delicious, and the link we need Delmar. Also a winner.

Calamari Fritti -peppers take up a lot of space on the plate where we wished more calamari was

4.5 true rating First of all, we would return again if not just for the pappardelle but let me go through the important parts. There is no beer on tap but a pretty large beverage menu otherwise. There is one IPA that comes in a can and was $12. I'm sorry but that was laughable. The calamari was good. The star of the show for me was the lemon aioli. They purposely take up space on the plate with spicy peppers and for the price I really would like a fuller plate of calamari. The portion didn't make sense for the two of us. The pappardelle was fantastic. It's a delicious homemade dish and home run. Tasty, fresh, and an appropriate portion. Perhaps the quick pic I snapped doesn't even show the amount that was there. Delicious, no to-go box for me. The service and ambiance. We went on a Friday in April at 7 pm. We secured a seat outside by the fireplace with no problem. Both the inside dining area and outside dining area are very pretty and enjoyable. Nice ambiance outside and a pretty setting inside with nice lighting. It would be a fantastic first or second date or anniversary spot for anyone. It wasn't very busy and we received impeccable service. Extremely attentive with great timing.

Just pretty shots from our table.

Creative, delicious. Excellent service!!!!! The scalop appetizer was amazing. My seafood pasta dish cooked to perfection. A special request for no calamari in the mix, was granted with a smile. My diner guest had a wonderful fish dish piccata flare. Portions were generous. The well priced cost was appreciated, generous. We felt like we were in Italy without the effort. We will definitely go back.

Came here for dinner with my mom and sister after looking at their private party room for a shower we're looking to have. Love the ambiance!! Very upscale/sophisticated feeling with great design. The prices were also very reasonable which I loved. Servers were all very friendly and knew the menu well. And most importantly, the food was delicious! I had the chicken parm which was nice and thin (how I prefer it to be) and the sauce was good. I also liked how it came with potatoes and veggies instead of a pasta which is usually too heavy. My sister did the beet salad which she liked and my mom the ratatouille which she liked as well. We started with the burrata tomato app and it was so good. Then we ended with the Nutella Oreos which were delicious. Their private room upstairs was a very nice bonus with large windows, a patio a private bar. Also has 2 private bathrooms which is always nice. We decided to book the space for a baby shower in May so I'll be sure to come back and review again then!

I came here recently for a birthday dinner for my cousin. I liked the way they did the remodeling post Maggie's! We ordered a round of one of their strawberry cocktails, and for apps we had the clams, meatballs, and one of the salads. I ordered the chicken capricosa for my entree and it didn't disappoint! To end off the night they were able to bring out some cake for my cousin and sing for her which was very nice. Tip: order the Nutella fried Oreos for dessert!

My family and I spontaneously came here for brunch around noon on a Saturday, and it was stellar…read more Let's first talk about the chairs. I'm still talking about how comfy they were! The menu has some classics as well as twists on standard brunch dishes. I loved my avocado toast, which had some unusual texture that made it very memorable. I was surprised it wasn't too busy for brunch. Don't let the secret out!

I am a little torn on what rating to give Jill's and wish I could give 3.5 because while I think a…read more3 is a little low, I don't think a 4 is the right rating. I also want to preface this by saying that I think this place is a solid choice and it is not a bad place to grab a bite or a drink. I have been a couple of times now. While I would go back again, I wouldn't go out of my way to go there. The ambience is good. It's a nice space and it does have space for both larger and smaller groups. The wait staff is also very nice and I have zero issue with them. The food is good enough, although not spectacular. They are definitely going for a high end bar/brunch/dinner spot. A step up from a local pub, a little bit more of a shine/elegance to them. The vibe is actually great for a larger group. The most recent time we went, our table got steak nachos, a burger, the sweet potato and rice bowl (with shrimp added), and a steak sandwich. The steak sandwich was reportedly really good (I didn't try it) and looked nice. The nachos were fine, not great. Didn't feel like there was enough cheese, but the steak on it was actually really nice. The rice bowl was really not exciting. There was nothing elevated or nuanced about it. The shrimp was the best part and was beautifully cooked and seasoned, but that was an add on and I would have been disappointed with it if not for the addition of the shrimp (which then made the bowl over $25). We ordered the burger medium rare, and it came very well done. To be fair, when we mentioned it to the server, she took it off of the bill, which we appreciated. Overall, I would say the food is hit or miss. Most of our proteins were cooked very nicely and with good flavor, but the other parts of the meal were just fine, not great. The price point is such that I expect a little more for what I am paying. That being said, the staff is nice and the ambience is good, so for a quick and easy meal, it's worth it if you are in the area.

The bar in the front was busy but the dining room was pretty empty so we were able to choose our table. First thing that stood out to me was the cute vibes of the place. The art work on the walls and different backdrops- great for a photo session. We were given two paper menus and an iPad with photos of the food. That was pretty cool, especially for someone like me who likes to see photos of the food I'm eating before I even choose a restaurant. Service was fine and staff were friendly however the wait time for our food especially in an empty dining room took a while. Now, the food was AMAZING. We ordered Cuba Tabaco y Ron (Latino eggrolls) as an app - SO good. We got a Lomo Sushi Roll to share, which was tasty. I got the Roasted Pernil and my husband got the Honey Glazed Salmon. Both were delicious and filling. Would definitely check this place out if you enjoy Latin fusion food. It's such a cute and romantic place. I will say I got a headache from the red lights above us, I wish there would have been more clear lighting at the table but regardless this is a place to check out.

I found myself at Marlowe to catch up with my Yelp friend Mercedes C. We periodically link up and…read moreit since it had been a minute, we thought it was the perfect time to do so. She had suggested Marlowe as she had heard good things about it - I had never been (or heard) of this spot before so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to check out a new spot and catch up, so off we went. Marlowe is located off Mamaroneck Ave, in a semi-isolated area which is on-brand for a brewery. The space isn't too large - it's rectangular-shaped with a lot of light pouring in and a variety of seating available. They did the place up nicely - it definitely gives off brewery vibes with tasteful decor such as hanging string lights and plants. I am admittedly not a big beer drinker, so I opted to a cocktail. I had one of the mule selections which was very good. It almost goes without saying when we go out, but we also had some food. They have a good selection of bar-esque fare like sandwiches, burgers, apps, etc. I also noticed they had a selection of tacos so I went with those. We were able to mix and match so I went with a shrimp and a chicken. Both were good - generous with the fillings with accents that really complemented the flavor of the protein. The chips that came on the side were house made/kettle style and were good as well. We also ordered some eggplant chips to share - I wasn't a big fan of these. They were too thick and kinda greasy - I've had fried eggplant chips at other places which do them better. Service was great - the bartenders were really friendly and we got some great insight into the history of the place. Overall, I had a great time at Marlowe - it was wonderful catching up with a friend, and the overall experience memorable (even for a sporadic beer drinker like me). If I found myself back here I wouldn't be disappointed.

Two of the things I like about breweries nowadays is that there's (usually) a good food+cocktail…read moremenu- and you don't even need to drink beer. I either read about Marlowe's on Hoyt Ave in Mamaroneck in my Westchester Magazine while living in White Plains or it was somehow swirling on Yelp. In any case, the food caught my attention and mayyyybe their only 2 cocktail offerings. Plus it was wonderful coming to Westchester after living in the county for 22 years and meeting my friend Jason M. over laughs, life and of course, gossip. With two entrances leading up to their sit down area and large bar, we decided on hi-tops to somehow get a nice scope of Marlowe's- especially an eye-catching floral black and white wall on one side. The food menu is tempting and fierce and when the manager(?) repeatedly told us the cook makes tasty food- that was good sign. The Eggplant chips with a hot honey drizzle my friend and I shared were on thick side- but good. Somehow, I felt these would be on the thin side like the ones he introduced me to at Polpettina in Eastchester. My Portabella taco with corn, cauliflower+other veg was delicious. So was my shrimp taco with red cabbage, cilantro+other veg. Being that I'm not a fan of creamy sauces on some foods, I didn't even mind the crema on each of my tacos. Needless to say, both my tacos were filled to the brim with substance. My only qualm is that one tortilla was used and didn't hold much. Because of the single ply, I was in a bit of a mess- so a second tortilla would be perfect for added strength. Service was fantastic though. Since my friend and I aren't beer drinkers, there was no pressure to drink it.
