The food is delicious and the service is wonderful. Even the portions are generous. My only complaint is they won't substitute a little pasta side dish for potatoes. Needed to find a place that was convenient for friends coming from another town. Found this place. Haven't been to West Harrison in a while. The place has a nice ambiance so I was optimistic. The service was slow. Always had to for a waiter and unfortunately no personality. Food was not great. My lasagna was just a pile of meat and cheese and had no structure - I didn't finish it. My friends chicken was just average she didn't finish it and didn't want to take it home. My husband's pork chop was dry and tough. I was really hopeful as they have a nice area for private dining and good parking. Food and service need some help. read more

Restaurant looks nice. Service was okay. Food was pathetic. From the appetizers to the main dishes, all was not what you would expect in a decent Italian restaurant. No marinara sauce here. They use tomato sauce. Could have been a can of Hunt's. The bruschetta appetizer, which a lot of restaurants put on the table to start the meal, for no cost, was served 3 pieces for $12. The Caprese de Buffala, for $23, was a tiny round ball of cheese cut into 4 pieces with 4 thinly slices of tomato and a small piece of prosciutto also cut up. The Pappardelle was not good, as the sausage was tasteless, especially in tomato sauce. The eggplant parm was on a plate itself. No side was offered with it. A $19 salad was regular lettuce with tomato & cucumbers. Coffee is $5.50 and a dessert of Zeppole was $18. We will NEVER be back, although our server was very nice. read more

Tough night for a visit to Allegria but the owners made it work. This night they had their waitstaff call out with the flu; so the hostess, bartender, two owners, one bus boy and thank goodness a full kitchen staff handled a very full reservation night with class and kindness. Upon being seated the situation was made clear so we knew service would be a bit slower and despite that we had a wonderful experience and will be back! It's truly about customer service and the owners know that and exemplified it. The food was delicious. They give you bread with a homemade eggplant and tomato bruschetta to start. We had the gnocchi with ragu, house salad, zucchini pesto pasta and chicken Parmesan alla vodka over penne; it was all so good! Portions are generous, we took food home. We were stuffed and chose not to stay to dessert but will be back to try other menu items and some traditional Italian desserts. read more

You can tell by the service that the owners Leo, and its management teach are hand picking the staff and training them. In my 15 years in the restaurant business I was pleased to have Alessio our server , which greeted us in Italian and was impeccable with his attention to Loved the food, truly authentic, spicy penne and shrimp, mussels, the pizza, the salmon special was delightful. Heard about this place and decided to give it a shot. When we got there, there was plenty of parking and were greeted at the door in a very friendly manner. The place was very nice and clean and decorated for summertime. We were seated rather quickly even though we didn't have a reservation. We ordered a couple wines and appetizers as well. The baked clams and the small margarita pizza for two were prepared nicely and were very fresh. Plenty for 2 people. We ordered our meals and we were served in a decent amount of time. For my entre I ordered Strozzapretti Zucchini Pesto- homemade pasta. It was fantastic!! No joke!! It was plentiful. My girl ordered the Chicken Paillard. It was plentiful, tasty and fresh. She enjoyed it very much. The service was good and the wait staff was attentive to us. Though they have nice desserts...we skipped it and just had a couple espressos and called it an evening. Just had a terrific meal at Allegria! Started with the Caesar salad and Neapolitan pizza. Both were super fresh and delicious. I had the cavatelli with broccoli rabe, sausage and EVOO. Both of my fellow diners had the branzino; one wood fired, the other pan seared. They were "fighting" over who had the better dish. And to finish things off, we had the tiramisu and ricotta cheesecake. Wow; melt in your mouth fabulous. Service was great, and the owner genuinely interested in our meal. Ever since Allegria opened, this has been one of my go to spots. Pastas are excellent here and the pizza is quite good too. Food overall is fairly priced. Highly recommend. It is nice to have a great restaurant so close to Purchase. P.S. I lived in Manhattan for 16 years so I do know a thing or two about decent Italian restaurants. I actually find most restaurants in Westchester do not cook pasta that well vs NYC, but Allegria is the exception. :) read more

DO NOT GO. My boyfriend and I took our grandma for her 87th birthday, never in my life have I experience such unprofessional and rude behavior. We walk in and they told us there is a private party happening but we were more than welcome to sit anywhere in bar area (if they were going to be only accommodating the party the manager should of just told us they were closed for a private event but obviously he just wanted to make money off of us). We sit at a high top at the bar, no bread was offered, we were clearly bothering them. Truly wanted to leave but my 87 year old grandma loved this place so we stayed (key word; loved). After ordering the waiters and manager were pointing at us and talking so poorly it was unbelievable. We were there for a total of 30 minutes. When the food came out it was clear they gave us whatever they had left over because they were prioritizing the party. My boyfriends ordered the gnocchi and there was maybe 10 gnocchi total in his whole plate, I ordered the marry me chicken which was clearly not marry me chicken more like vodka sauce on leftover chicken, and my grandma ordered calamari which was soggy and thrown on a random plate. When we asked for bread we were given 3 pieces and the waiter dropped it off to our table huffing and puffing like we were the worst thing to ever happen to him. Not to mention the room began to fill with at least 20 people (in the party) all bumping into us keep in mind we were told it was OK to sit there. Anyways couldn't even sing my grandma happy birthday had to leave. The food was horrible and the service was worse, I truly felt bullied and belittled while sitting there. Shame on this establishment for choosing to do this instead of politely turning us away. Even on a good day the food was nothing to brag about. read more

Just had a delicious dinner with my daughter and cousin. This restaurant is close by but had never tried it before. Im really glad we did. The restaurant has plenty of parking. The dining area is cozy and comfortable if you wanted to linger over your meal. All the staff is very friendly, and our waitress especially went out of her way to engage with us. We had the beet and goat cheese salad, the asparagus and shrimp risotto, and the pasta with zucchini. We shared all the dishes and had more than enough for all of us. For dessert we got the cannoli, which comes 2 to an order. Seriously big enough for a table of 4-6 to share. We also got the panna cotta, which I don't find often so was very happy to have. We went to Allegria restaurant last night for first time , inside was very nice, we ordered pizza, salad and pasta dishes they were all very good and hot when came out I thought the pastas were small for entree size but again very good , service was on point and the owners were very nice, we will be back again. read more

Basically, I was blown away. What a beautiful restaurant service was outstanding food was to die for amazing selection of pastas. They have a wood-burning brick oven so pizzas come out perfect oh and the fried calamari honestly the best I've ever had. I enjoyed it so much. Dined for first time with 2 friends last night, and we all were delighted. Wonderfully welcoming and delicious experience. From the terrific original cocktail menu, thru appetizers and entrees, every dish was delicious. The appetizer mussels were plump and luscious. One of my companions raved about his sole entree from the specials menu. Two of us totally enjoyed other pasta dishes from the regular menu. Tiramisu and panna cotta desserts were also great. The wine list has quite a few nice selections by the glass, as well as bottle. Service was warm and totally attentive. Very fine restaurant. Look forward to returning soon!! read more

Made reservations for Mother's Day as they advertise brunch every Sunday and there was NO mention that there wouldn't be brunch for Mother's Day. Everyone excited to go - looked over the menu, we were looking forward to it. Arrive for our 11:30 reservation and are handed dinner menus. We asked where the brunch menu was and the waiter said that they decided not to do brunch today. Seriously!! You don't tell people when they called - you made no mention of it on your website. Who does that. There were 2 other tables right next to us that were just as upset - those groups got up and walked out and so did we. We scrambled to find something else and lucked out in White Plains and even the manager there couldn't believe a restaurant would do that on Mother's Day of all days. Had a fabulous brunch in WP. We have good friends who have eaten at Allegria and said it's nothing special. Small portions/high prices. So guess we dodged an overpriced mediocre meal. read more
