Tho a little pricey, but all restaurants are these days, this cute place is conveniently located off Anderson Hill Rd in the posh Purchase NY area. Despite a strange, under-the-restaurant tunnel entrance (I drove by at first attempt & had to circle back), the establishment is very clean, with nice decor & outstanding, friendly service. The fried calamari app was less than stellar, comprised mostly of breading & very little squid (worst part of meal). I had the squash ravioli special (excellent) & she had the salmon (she said it was great), all washed down with some Pinot Noir and cappuccinos for dessert. Bill was $150 without tip. We had different entrées ranging from penne, vodka, chicken Caesar salad, salads, side orders of brussels sprouts, and string beans, gnocchi, eggplant rolatini etc. We all enjoyed the food as well as the cocktails. Order was wrong - food was cold - veal was tasteless- server was rushed and inattentive- manager was rude - restaurant extremely loud. Been there' many times but somehow this place has gotten so bad that I will not ever consider it as an option again- there are too many good Italian restaurants in the area, and this is NO LONGER one of them . What a great place to have a birthday celebrating our friends birthday, and the staff didn't hold back with the appetizers. The drinks were delicious and packed a punch. The food was perfectly made, and the upstairs was lovely. I've never been up there for the full bar in the bathroom wow this downstairs is always nice, but I couldn't imagine that the upstairs was so beautiful on their menu. They had a real special if you see it you should try it. Everybody who had the chicken franchise was in love with it and the pasta dishes came out superb as well. Brunch sadly was a disaster - The sole was overcooked, dry and fishy! Watery Bloody Mary did have alcohol but it is not a cocktail. Even the pasta bolognese was relatively tasteless, but the pasta, what little there was, is cooked right. Place looks great and the staff is nice but too busy and hard to get their attention. Waiter took our order never saw him again until he asked us if we wanted coffee, didn't even mention dessert. We ordered 2 teas and one cappuccino. He dropped off the tea along with the bill and told us he needed our table so we would have to leave now. The steam was coming out of my cup I hadn't even put the tea bag in yet. We were only there for an 1 hour and 15 minutes at this point. It took me 40 minutes to get there. We went for lunch today after a lovely time at the Kendall Sculpture Gardens at Pepsi's HQ in Purchase, NY. The restaurant is literally 0.2 miles from the HQ and has parking the back. We were quickly brought water and delicious bread with infused olive oil. Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes were also left on the table. Since this was just lunch, we did not order appetizers. My wife had a chicken and arugula salad, I had the spicy rigatoni and chicken and our friends had chicken martini and chicken parm respectively. In this case very ordinary food and service at ridiculously inflated prices. But that's not the point. The evening was a planned event with friends. Reservations were made over a week in advance. As we were about to order desert and coffee, we were told that a party was coming in and we were asked to leave. No desert. NO coffee. No Consideration on the bill. We asked why we were not informed of all this before being seated. No satisfactory answer was offered. So needless to say our patronage is over, as I hope yours is as well. We recently held a wedding rehearsal dinner in the upstairs room at Trattoria 632, and we couldn't have been happier with our decision. When we first came up the stairs, the ambiance of the upstairs room was so warm and elegant, it really set the tone for a wonderful party. The upstairs room has its own bar and we had a dedicated bartender for the whole event, and the space was perfect for the group to mingle over a cocktail upon arrival. As the host, I appreciated that the menu choices and prices were clear from the beginning. Once we were seated, the waitstaff was very attentive in bringing water or fresh bar drinks and in clearing used plates. We had four menu choices for the entree and they were all delicious, as was the tiramisu for dessert. However, what we most appreciated was that several times during the night we paused to share a toast or stories from members of the wedding party, and whenever we did the bartender turned the music down and the waitstaff lingered in the back patiently, and then when we were done speaking, it was back to business, refilling glasses or delivering dessert. We each ordered a glass of wine -- one Chardonnay and one Montepulciano. Very generous pours in a nice glass, and both wines were quite good.
