Pretty good place! Went here with a few coworkers for food and drinks after work tonight. First plus is it wasn't too loud to have a conversation. They had a chicken sandwich on special that I got. It was really good. Pesto and mushrooms on a juicy chicken breast. Shame it's a special and they don't have it all the time. To start off I'd give this place a zero but I can't. AMANDA is the most grumpy and RUDE woman ever. My friend and I went to go in for food and because he was underage he had to leave. He didn't order a drink, he simply wanted to eat and he "couldn't sit in the establishment". That's insane. Idk if she's taking out her sad life on other people but it's ruining this place for everyone. I'll never be going back. AND a second thing!!!!!! She didn't serve me at first because she thought my id was fake. There was no scanner and couldn't prove that my ID was fake. Mind you, I'm 24 years old. Surprising find, and more than just a dive bar. Went here as it was a good halfway point for a meet up, and pleasantly surprised. Good selection of beers and the food was good. Got a mix of sliders and fries. Service was good as well, though it was just the bartender working the tables and the bar. Only thing that wasn't great is the fact it was cold every time someone opened the door, but next time we'll get a table farther away from the door. read more

Lets get one thing straight....there is only ONE team that plays in New York State. Let it be known there is only one GOOD team that represents New York State. My football team doesn't play in New Jersey... that in itself is an insult to the people of New York City. Save yourself the neurosis and psychological inferiority and root for the Buffalo Bills. Went here for lunch and didn't leave until after 9pm. The staff are super friendly and on the ball. The food is really good pub fare. I loved the Fush & Chips and the best beer battered onion rings I've ever had. The crowd was a killer mix of interesting people. Everyone was really happy and friendly. Made some great new friends. My favorite local bar in Mamaroneck. A great, friendly vibe. The staff and the people who come in for drinks and food all nights of the week are delightful. Drinks are well priced and good. I judge a place by how well they can make an old fashion and Village station does not disappoint. Their menu is also fantastic!! This spot is definitely one of the better local bars in the area! It has a very welcoming/cozy feeling which is nice when going to a local bar. They have a really good selection of drinks and the food is equally as good! For bar food, their selection of food items is really good! They will change it up from time to time so keep that in mind when ordering. The bartenders here are very nice and they make some good drinks here. Between the food/drinks/atmosphere, this is a really good spot to hang out and be with people - or if you're getting off of the train across the street and want to grab a quick drink, this is a great place to be! read more

Yup I'm one of those regulars. This is one of our weekly places to make a pit stop beer is always icy cold and my Pinot is generously poured. We were on a burger kick for awhile. They are always delicious and those fries!!! Can't get enough of them. I am a huge fan of his shepherds pie too. I love it. Pub food is great. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. TVs going with sports. This is now my new local bar! I was so disappointed with the closing of a gem in new Rochelle but this place has made me "almost" forget about it completely. It has a very cozy, warm and welcoming feeling. The bartender is very friendly and pours a great drink. The beers are priced well and the selection is great. The food here is awesome! The wings, steak sandwich and chicken parm are to die for. I can't wait to try the pizzas and dinner entrees here. The fries are great too. They have a juke box which you can control with your phone and they have a DJ on the weekends who is absolutely spectacular. People here are very friendly and it's open till early AM. Village station is a huge improvement from the bar that used to be in this location. I've visited a few times so far and it looks like they are still making minor improvements. The table layout was a bit different than my last visit and it helps seat more patrons but it does make the bar a bit more difficult to navigate because you're constantly bumping into people when it's packed. They added a DJ for late nights. They still have happy hour but there's a new chef. A noticed some new waitresses/bartender's too. The food is pretty decent especially for bar food and the drinks are cheap especially for happy hour which ends around 7pm daily. There's a few TV's to watch a sporting event. When the DJ isn't there they have a jukebox. I've tried the tacos and the shrimp and pineapple skewers. Both were enjoyable. The portions aren't huge but it's good for a small bite with your beverage. The taps are clean and they have Stella and Shofferhofer grapefruit on tap too. They ran out of Land Shark unfortunately. read more

All right where to start the decor, the ambient , this place is really nice, better than the old place we had in Mamaroneck at the train station. I came here on a monday night and even though it was only like five people at the bar, I think this place is gonna do well because Henry is so nice to people and sociable. I know this place just opened a few weeks ago but it has potential !! I'll definitely be back for a drink!! Love this local bar and pizza place. Pros: -Nice decor, if that moves you -Very friendly and attentive servers and staff -Good pizza! -Other things on the menu besides pizza- I recommend the broccolini -Convenient train station location -Generous wine pours and nice cocktails -They also own the beer garden outside, which is great. Cons: -Giving people mediocre popcorn is strange. -Shifting rules about when you can order the inside menu outside and vice versa. I want to also commend them for setting up a little coffee setup in the morning. Decent coffee at the train station was an unfilled need. It has only been a week or two, but already there are many more people having coffee, watching the news, and just creating a nice morning atmosphere. Well done! read more

Went in for St. Patty's with a group of friends. I have been a guest of this place several times over the past two years but this is the first time I have left disappointed and infuriated. I knew it was going to be an interesting night when we asked our server what ciders they had (because they aren't consistent with which ones they stock) and she pointed to the draft list and said "that's what we have." None of the items on the draft list were ciders. So I attempted to explain what my fiancé and I were looking for by giving examples (Angry Orchard, Red Apple, Magnars, etc). She said she would asl and get back to us. Having myself been a server and my fiancé having been a bartender, we immediately could tell she was new and therefore we were going to have to be extra patient with her. To be honest, we're usually good with it because we 100% remember those days and we tend to tip better when it's obvious your new because we remember those days. Today was the exception. Two friends joined us and we let them know the server appeared to be new and to be patient. They completely understood were ready to act accordingly. Three more friends joined and we moved two tables together to avoid blocking the whole restaurant with standing in between two tables. And then we were ignored for the rest of the night. Completely ignored. None of us got out of hand; none of us got when remotely drunk let alone duels drunk despite the St. Patty's holiday. We were the one table In the whole restaurant that was exclusively ignored, continuously. SEVERAL times I not only made eye contact with but then proceeded to attempt to waive down both waitresses that were on the floor that night. Out of the upwards of eight to nine times I waved down at both servers, only three times did the waitresses actually attend to my table. For the most part of the night, between one and four of the seven of us were left with a completely empty beer over for more than five minutes. We were there for over four hours and were barely approached over once an hour, and only approached when we pestered the waitresses for what we needed. At one point I had to go up to the bar to get any attention and, thankfully, the bartender was willing it just add it our current tab instead of making us open a new one. After we finished that round and had been successfully ignored for another 15 minutes, we left. Out of the seven of us out at the bar, five of us verbally agreed that none of us had been so clearly avoided, ignored, or disrespected at a restaurant in our lives. If you're a regular, I'm sure you love this place. If you're not friends with the owner or the staff - don't bother. They clearly won't care about you. Spent 10 minutes here killing time over a beer. Beautiful bar, big bright crisp television, nice draft selection of a dozen or so. A new bar surely has a learning curve but I didn't experience anything negative I will be back here. Give them a shot! read more

Went back tonite during the mamaroneck street fair and was so disappointed! Ordered beer that was warm, village station burger and when I asked the bartender Molly why there was no cheese she looked at the register for some reason and then came back and said sorry not how can I make it right!!! She did say did you want me to bring you the cheese. Pathetic response. I really was hoping for the same experience I had previously. I also had to wait for 15 minutes before I was asked if I wanted another drink. There were only 9 people in total in the bar. I will probably not be back. read more

We had dinner here the other night as a party of eight. Overall the service was good. Our server was very friendly and attentive. She admitted she didn't know anything about the beers on tap which is disappointing for an Irish pub in the craft beer world we live in. Servers in local, competing establishments definitely can give you some info about the beers on tap. I asked her what type of beer the Montauk was and she had no idea...and unfortunately she didn't even make an attempt to find out from the bartender. The place has about eight taps so I would suggest the servers at least learn the basics about the beers on tap. They do get a bonus for having my wifes favorite beer, Schofferhofer, on tap and served in 16 oz glasses. The decor is very rich, definitely high end Irish pub. They definitely paid attention to detail in the design of the place. We ordered several different entrees and there were no complaints except for the burgers. Two of us ordered our burgers medium rare and both came out well done. We didn't really complain because they were still pretty tasty with the caramelized onions and bacon but our server did ask us how everything was so we thought she should know about the well done burgers. The manager apologized and gave us a round of drinks on the house. The comped drinks were totally unexpected and totally appreciated. Our kids had pasta and somehow it took a super long time to get a couple of orders of pasta with meatballs out of the kitchen. It was also kind of funny that the server told us the pasta was elbow macaroni but ended up coming out of the kitchen as fettuccine - not that it mattered because the kids like any kind of pasta. I'm giving this place five stars based on potential. It only opened about six weeks ago and I think it can be a great place if they just worked out a few kinks. Be warned Village Station! - In a few months I will return! I will order a medium rare burger and I will ask about the beers on tap! My kids will order pasta. I expect to get a burger that is pink in the middle, I expect the server to be able to tell me something about each of the beers on tap, I expect the pasta that comes out of the kitchen to be the same type of pasta the server tells me it will be.
