Stopped for brunch here Sunday. The place is nice with a very light and airy ambiance with great music to amplify the atmosphere. The service was prompt. As soon as we sat down our waitress came to take our order and the food came out quickly. I would suggest they hire more help because our waitress was scarce. She was working too many tables. Apparently they have another room around the corner for large crowds to watch the soccer tournaments so she was working that room and the main room too so it took a long time for her to come back around to us. In fact, I had to go upfront to ask the owner to melt the cheese on my Cuban sandwich cause it took her too long to come back. Also, when I asked for mustard for my Cuban sandwich because I couldn't taste the mustard she told me without going into the kitchen to find out if they have mustard that the restaurant doesn't have mustard. When I told my granddaughter to show her from the menu that mustard comes the Cuban sandwich she looked stupid and retreated to the kitchen and came back with a small cup of Dijon mustard. The Caribbean rice was trash. They should take it off the menu. The fries were awesome. The skirt steak was okay. The waffles and chicken were decent. The pork dumplings were tasty. The chicken empanadas were good but I've had better at The Cuban Inn in Tarrytown. The panini Cuban sandwich was not good even with the missing mustard I got from the kitchen. I would not order it again. I would go back but would try something different next time before writing them off altogether. read more

I had high hopes for this place given the reviews but it was simply not good. We came for lunch around 11:30 (Google states they opened at this time) but they did not open until noon. The place was surprisingly busy and there were only 2 servers which resulted in slow and inattentive service. The menu is ambitious and interesting but the food tasted very bland. We started with the Asian ribs and jalapeno poppers. Both looked unappetizing. The ribs were dry despite sitting in a pool of sauce which tasted burnt. The jalapeno poppers looked like something I would make at home and tasted that way as well. My wife's burger was OK, although she ordered it medium and it came pink so she had to send it back. My pork mojo bowl was ok, but underseasoned as well. Surprisingly the mojo sauce was bland as well when it's typically bold and garlicky. My husband and I love fusion restaurants so we decided to check this place out. I made a reservation for 2 on a Thursday night. The bar in the front was busy but the dining room was pretty empty so we were able to choose our table. First thing that stood out to me was the cute vibes of the place. The art work on the walls and different backdrops- great for a photo session. We were given two paper menus and an iPad with photos of the food. That was pretty cool, especially for someone like me who likes to see photos of the food I'm eating before I even choose a restaurant. Service was fine and staff were friendly however the wait time for our food especially in an empty dining room took a while. Now, the food was AMAZING. We ordered Cuba Tabaco y Ron (Latino eggrolls) as an app - SO good. We got a Lomo Sushi Roll to share, which was tasty. I got the Roasted Pernil and my husband got the Honey Glazed Salmon. Both were delicious and filling. Would definitely check this place out if you enjoy Latin fusion food. It's such a cute and romantic place. The frozen mango piña colada was both delicious and strong, just the way I like it. This was my first time here. We were seated right away. Some of our guests arrived early. The restaurant is on the smaller side. When you walk into the right, they have a bar area and the left is all the seating and dining. When we arrived for our reservation, our waiter greeted us at the table. He took our order of drinks. It took about 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive was not very happy with the delay in service. Shortly there after our appetizers arrived. Our apps were really good. The Asian ribs were disappointing. However, the dumplings were excellent. For dinner we had the bistec encebollado, churrasco mofongo, and the spicy avocado sushi roll. Dinner was great. For dessert we had the Tres leches and the chocolate Tres leches, which was delicious. We originally had asked our waiter for two separate checks which he had agreed to. When it came time to get our check, he dropped off one check. It was a bit of an issue to get the breakdown into two separate checks and to find our waiter. We ended up speaking with the owner who helped us and also extended us a discount for the error. I will definitely have to consider coming back. From the moment we walked in, the ambience was warm and inviting great vibes, outdoor patio seating, and even a couple of social-media-worthy photo ops that made the night even more memorable. We started with the Brussels sprouts, which were hands down the best I've ever had perfectly crisp on the outside and glazed in a sweet chili sauce that hit every note. I also had the mussels in blanco sauce, and the broth was packed with deep, rich flavor absolutely top tier. For dinner, I went with the Lobster Stir Fry, which was not only visually stunning but layered with flavor in every bite. My wife had the Honey Glazed Salmon, and it was equally impressive a beautiful crunch on the outside, tender on the inside, and full of flavor. We also tried both the Red and White Sangria refreshing, well-balanced, and delicious. Our server, Edgar, was fantastic attentive and personable. And when John (the owner) found out it was our anniversary, he surprised us with a complimentary dessert. That level of service and hospitality goes a long way.
