Zuppa di Pesce special

Flat out delicious. Chef Andrea CARES about serving you delicious food. The man has a real talent for sauces. You'll look at the substantial menu and think 'I see some classics.' And you do. But...each and every dish arrives looking just left or just right of what you expected in the best possible way. Chicken Scarpiello is on the bone and more decadently brown than you've ever had. Cacio y pepe is impossibly rich. This is a food lover's restaurant. Pro tip: cozy means cozy and tiny. Make reservations and plan on a drink 300 feet down the street as an aperitif.

IMO...this is the best Italian cuisine in the county. Been here many times and never fails on authenticity, ambiance and menu options. Open to splitting portions in case you can't decide and want to share. My "go-to" Italian restaurant in Westchester. Bravo!

Seafood pasta special

OMG what a fabulous meal! Everything was so delicious and the service was superb. The menu and specials menu is so good that we wanted to order everything on it. I ordered two appetizers; an eggplant and beretta rollitini and the seafood salad both scrumptious! My husband got the Caesar salad and the seafood pasta special. We both got glasses of wine--they have a great wine selection, and shared a delicious desert--so yummy! And I finished with a decaf cappuccino. An incredible evening with really wonderful food. I really believe that the chef here has magic powers!

Cute little restaurant. Staff is so friendly. They give you complementary bread + eggplant caponata which was so delicious and definitely unique. Meatballs were SO good, and the fried calamari tasted fresh. It also wasn't overly fried, just had a nice light coating. Overall food was good and I'd definitely like to try more things on the menu. There are also always specials I think the pricing is definitely fair. The portions were really big and everyone took food home!

We will usually stay with a spot for a few years, grow tired of it, and then try somewhere new. That is what brought us to 25 North. For the preceding three Easters, we were at another restaurant in Westchester - however it grew stale. I decided to look at other options, and remember having a great meal here at 25 North back in 2018 when I originally wrote my review. That being said, we booked it and made plans to dine here for Easter Sunday dinner. As I expected being a holiday, I walked into a crowded and loud restaurant. The layout is interesting - the dining room is separated into three levels with a small flight of stairs separating each of them. We were seated on the top level of the dining area, which was the best place in my opinion as it was the quietest- we were 19 people and only two other tables were in our vicinity. Decor was inoffensive - typical Westchester Italian restaurant aesthetics. What I liked about the Easter service at 25 North was that we were able to order off the regular menu - though they did have a few specials for the holiday. We decided to order apps family style for the table: drunken clams, string bean salad, sausage and broccoli rabe rolls, and fried calamari. These were all solid; the drunken clams were by far my favorite - super flavorful sauce and served with sausage and big cloves of garlic. The weakest IMO were the sausage and broccoli rabe rolls - I will say its partly because I expected more of a bread roll, but these were like egg rolls which made them a little to greasy for me. The sauce it came with though was tasty with a mild heat. For my main I got one of their specials - crab stuffed shrimp. This was six generally stuffed shrimp served on top of spinach in a light sauce. I really liked this dish - even though it looked like a lot, the crabmeat was light and the spinach made it so I didn't feel stuffed after finishing the dish. For dessert, I had tiramisu - on the menu they described it as a slice of goodness and that's exactly what it was. Service was great - they were on top of it and made sure food came out at a good pace and we were fully taken care of. Overall, my holiday experience at 25 North solidified my opinion that this is one of the best Italian restaurants in Westchester. I'll definitely be back sooner rather than later.

I was underwhelmed. Service was fine, place is fancy. Portions are big I will give them that…read more Pricey - but the food I got was underwhelming and oversalted. There's so many other good Italian places with big portions that are cheaper so I don't think I would come back here. Dessert was also subpar.

I hopped on Yelp and found IL Castello and thought this should work. I told the person who grabbed my call we will be there in 30 minutes but we were having too much fun and didn't wrap up at the Cigar club. Not only did the owner keep the restaurant open for us past 9pm, but once we arrived to our surprise this spot is amazing. It's the exact quality of Italian food my friends and I would have chosen. All 5 of us are business owners. I had the Dover Sole pictured in this review being filetted for my enjoyment. Everyone's dish was amazing from appetizers to dessert. I highly recommend IL Castello. The owner is very attentive and is intentional about providing memorable hospitality experiences. My friends and I agreed to return here next month.

The back area felt safe (closed from the elements but still open air) with heaters and tables spaced apart. Lenny provided exceptional service, from recommending a delicious and affordable bottle of wine to splitting our shared entrees onto individual plates in the kitchen. It felt like a professional Italian home cooked dining experience with delicious foods all around. We ended our meal with a tasty cappuccino and homemade limoncello. We would definitely recommend this restaurant. Thank you for the excellent dining experience!
