We were on a time crunch since we had reservations for a nearby tour just five minutes away, and we chose this spot specifically for its convenient location. By the time the food arrived, we had about 10 minutes to eat and had to rush through our meal. While the food was delicious and the drinks were great, the long wait completely threw off our plans. Overall, the food was good, but due to the slow service, we won't be coming back anytime soon.

The menu offers burgers, salads, tacos and a brunch menu until 3pm on weekends. We were in the mood for something light thus we ordered tacos: brisket for Rochelle, pulled pork for myself and a side of hand cut fries. Here's where a bit of a disconnect arose: Rochelle did not want pico de gallo but the server should have instructed her to add a different ingredient to prevent dryness. The brisket was cooked perfectly with a slight char mixed with guacamole but could have used a kick and cilantro. The soft taco was flavorless. My pulled pork taco was delicious: Mango salsa with pineapple chunks, pork was also slightly roasted and guacamole gave it a delicious flavor. I also thought cilantro should have been added. The hand cut fries were good not great, but portion was generous. There was live music: a flutist who played with prerecorded music. There is a bar as well to purchase drinks. Dining al fresco is a must; the view of the Hudson River is wonderful. Must say, the server was not friendly and checked on us mid way through meal. Some folks do like to get away.. and a trip to Dobbs Ferry for a beautiful lunch on the Hudson, is well worth it.

Not bad, but nothing spectacular in competition. The Portuguese Pork Chop sandwich didn't suffer from the same monotone flavor pallette. I'm only critical because I used to work in the service industry. I've been in her shoes. I've asked for water no ice. So she takes my water. She comes back and I asked again for my water and maybe a lemon would be nice if she could. Time goes by we get a whole salad before I get any water. I went to the bar to get my water. The food gets ordered and served. I've gone to the bar one more time to refill my water. When the food comes out after our appetizers are cleared... she serves everyone's food except mine. She just leaves mine in the middle of the table and doesn't even ask if we need anything else before she leaves. One more water refill in and I had to grab an extra napkin, an extra plate for my friends kid, and paper napkins for the kid all myself. Overall, it's the least interaction I've gotten from a server. I think she got the tip she served. I wouldn't have done so if she hadn't given me attitude for talking to the manager about our dissatisfaction. Meanwhile, she comes by and talks about dessert and doesn't offer to refill any drink again. It's not like I went and told them but they came by and asked and I felt the need to share. Maybe I'll keep my mouth shut next time. We'll be back but hope they can train their employees on better service. If you work in the industry, you should understand what's expected.
