After being disappointed at Hudson social we came here for a drink and the view we stayed for three drinks and a great bartender promising to return for a happy hour or two great place to face fun.

Absolutely incredible. Great view. NYC and the Tappan Zee at the same spot. The food and drinks are incredible, especially the wings!! And the waitress we had was helpful and nice. Indoors it's very nice as well, very aesthetic and open with natural lighting. Highly highly recommend going during happy hour. Incredible price for the wings and apps.

I've been going to half moon with friends forever. Just had my birthday dinner in February, but the real vibe is when the weather is nice. It's an amazing place with an amazing view l, great food but even better cocktails. Honestly, it's a wonderful place just outside of the city. Service can be hit or miss, last time I was there I had to ask for bread and the waiter wasn't on top of it. My friend and I had a great time, but often had to flag down the waiter to ask for certain things. I think we would have ordered more if he had checked in more often. Nevertheless, that was this last time. It all depends on the waitstaff but generally this place is a great vibe.

Came here to sit at the bar and have a drink with appetizers and watch the game. Haven't been here in a while definitely missed it. The views are amazing but I have to tell you the bartenders were great especially Nayli. Her customer service.was top of the line !!! She was friendly, smiled lot and just a great people person. Kudos whoever hired her.

I'm not sure why this restaurant is rated so low but it is a gem. Beautiful views and great service, Mohammed and Maribel took great care of our table. Attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu the made the experience even better. The oysters we delicious, chorizo croquet was my fav but the yuca wasn't too shabby. The tomato anchovy toast was interesting. I think the grilled octopus was perfectly tender and paired well with the romesco. Overall experience was great and I would recommend.

This is such a beautiful restaurant. The architecture is really quite something. The service was great. The food was also excellent. I would go back again. They did not have certain items that we ordered from the menu like items with pork, so our meal consisted mainly of seafood, but this wasn't a problem for us. it was really good.

A hundred of us met for dinner at Half Moon along the Hudson. The seafood focused menu is always delicious, service impeccable, and the atmosphere spectacular. Coming from Florida I was looking forward to seeing the change of season reflected in the foliage. It was beautiful outside, and I enjoyed sitting along the Hudson at the fire pits. Trays of Wines & appetizers were served & delicious, the brie & jam, grilled mushrooms & shrimp were tasty. The tables were filled with family style platters of salads, pitas, dips & olives. I chose branzino with olive tapenade, roasted potatoes and arugula as my main course. The tiramisu with mascarpone did not disappoint for dessert.

Quality place! I came here for my anniversary with my boyfriend and he surprised me with this pic of a restaurant. He said it was different back in the day when he went because it was primarily Italian food, but now it's changed and it's more Spanish food. Admittedly, I forgot to take a picture of our appetizer, but we had gotten a hummus platter and that was quite good. It came with hummus, tzatziki, and one other sauce I can't remember the name of it, but it was reddish (it was good). I then got the steak medium well , and it was honestly Bussin gurl. Even the side salad was fuegooo. And the fries were crispy goodness. For dessert, we got the moose cake to share because I was way too full at that point, and we ended up taking it home because we couldn't finish it, but it was so good too. For drinks, we ordered a white sangria and I'm absolutely getting that shit again because I was downing that sucker cause it was (dangerously) good. Don't worry, though, I wasn't driving and I only ended up having two lol but if there were more of us, I definitely would've gotten a pitcher. 5 stars, ya gurl will be back. Also, it's off the water! So pretty outside!

Happy Hour Oysters! The BEST deal in town! Discounted drinks and appetizers - superb opportunity to enjoy the ambiance of the Restaurant. The views are great. The service is excellent and the offerings are OUTSTANDING! We'll definitely be back!

Chefs choice of apps - not very good

It was so nice sitting outside on the water for lunch, although I wish they allowed us to put the umbrellas up. The oysters that we got were really good and so was the steak and eggs brunch. We also got the chefs selection of apps, which we didn't really enjoy so I wouldn't get this again/recommend. Overall, it was a good brunch and the view made up for a portion of the food we didn't enjoy.

Came with a group after a Funeral. The waitstaff was organized and friendly and handled the large group without a hitch. The salmon was moist, generous portion. The bread was fresh. The view is fantastic. Plenty of parking.

Do I need to make reservations?

Last I heard they don't take reservations so nope : )

Is there a kids menu? Edit: I called and they said they have a verbal kid's menu. Mac n Cheese,…

Yes, I believe there is a children's menu, at least for lunch. You would probably do well to call ahead and ask so that you know what they offer.

Are we able to still come in via our boat and dock up at the dock? Also is the reggae band still playing sunday afternoons at 4:00pm? Thanks!

You can dock your boat although I am not sure if the slips are only open in the spring and summer. I would call the restaurant. I cannot answer your question on the reggae band.

    When is happy hour?

    I don't know

Sitting right on the marina, with the water and boats in view, gave me just enough of a "beach" feeling to pretend I was back on the Cape. It brought back some wonderful beach memories. The food was decent - we had crab cakes and a lobster roll - and the prices felt fair for Piermont, although, as you'd expect with the waterfront location, they're a little higher than what you'd pay in neighboring towns. This is definitely old-school dining: no fancy food trends or reinvented dishes, just the standard seafood-and-American fare you'd expect. And honestly, sometimes that's exactly what you want. Service was attentive, although a little slow when their system went down and they had to go back to old-school math to figure out the bills. The view is the real star. One thing I wish people would stop doing, though, is feeding the ducks bread. It may seem harmless, but bread fills birds up without giving them the nutrition they need and can actually make them unhealthy. Enjoy watching them, just let them find their own dinner. Another big plus: easy parking! Unlike much of Piermont, there's a huge lot, so you don't have to circle the village looking for a spot. And Marel, the owner, is a doll. The place has been family-owned for decades, which makes supporting it feel even better. So no, this isn't a destination for fancy dining. It's old-school, casual, waterfront Piermont, and on a warm summer night with a frozen drink in your hand and the Hudson in front of you, that has its own kind of charm.

Abdul, our bartender, remembered my name, which made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued. It's those personal touches that create a memorable dining experience. During our meal, we accidentally ordered the wrong paella. We knew it was our mistake and never intended to ask for a replacement. However, the owner overheard our conversation and immediately stepped in to make it right without hesitation. That level of hospitality and customer care is rare and speaks volumes about how they treat their guests. The attention to detail extends to the bar as well. Their Old Fashioned is made the way it should be--with a large ice block that keeps the drink cold without watering it down. As John Taffer often says, "If an Old Fashioned doesn't have a large ice block, they're not paying attention to detail." Basque clearly does. If you're looking for outstanding food, exceptional service, and a restaurant that truly cares about its customers, I highly recommend Basque. Give it a try--you won't be disappointed.

The seafood paellas are portion perfect ie; large, the tapas favorites include garlic shrimp, octopus, croquetas, Iberico ham, lamb chops, and seasonal specials. Because the dining room is relatively small, expect a noisy environment. Weekend waits can be long because of this restaurant's popularity, but it is so worth the wait. The staff is friendly, the clientele is neighborly, and you're guaranteed to enjoy your restaurant experience here. For Piermont, it's one of the strongest dining experiences available, particularly if one enjoys sharing plates. If you're going for the first time, I'd order the garlic shrimp, a few tapas to share, and one of the paellas for the table. He proceeded to edit out the items he thought we didn't want to eat, and instead of backing off to let us make new selections and returning, he stayed at the table and told us to "just order" the recommended fish of the evening. The junior waiter was way more attentive and kind to us than this jerk. Food was ok, little under seasoned. Won't be returning. Ladies room doesn't seem large enough to accommodate a wheelchair either.
