It was a surprise to find out that our New Rochelle favorite, Patsy's Pizzeria, was closed for renovations. And then to see that it will no longer be Patsy's, with new owners taking over, renaming the establishment Kenny's on the Water. Once partially reopened, we made a visit mid-Spring 2025, to find a slight disappointment. The once comfortable large bar had been transformed to half its original size. A temporary situation, as renovations were still in progress. The future promise was to have a full length, indoor bar facing the mariner to optimize water views. Fast forward three months or so later and their promise has been fulfilled. The current renovation is a great usage of space. Now there are two bar areas, where the newest of the two provides an enhanced view of the mariner no matter where you're seated. We are happy with the end result, and the new beginnings that is Kenny's on the Water. And least I forget to mention, the food and service by the original staff remains on point. Beautiful space with great renovations, and it was packed - but unfortunately the experience didn't match the vibe. Signature drinks took 45 minutes and were overly sweet and nothing like advertised. Food was mediocre across the board, including dessert. The biggest issue was the service. We were there from 6:30 to 9:00 PM, and everything moved incredibly slow. Our waitress barely checked on us, and getting a refill was nearly impossible. Overall, nice atmosphere but disappointing execution. I wouldn't go back. read more

We visited during Restaurant Week expecting a polished, confident return. Instead, the experience made it clear that the relaunch is struggling at the most basic level. The service was noticeably below par. The bartender appeared overwhelmed, distracted, and largely non‑attentive, which resulted in slow service and a bar that felt unprepared for even a moderate crowd. The drink pricing only made the situation worse. The cocktails were overpriced for what they were, but the most egregious issue was the mocktail. My shaken sour lemonade--simple, nonalcoholic, and hardly a craft creation--cost more than my husband's mixed drink made with top‑shelf spirits. That kind of pricing is not just careless; it's insulting to the sober community, who deserve thoughtful, fairly priced options rather than being penalized for not drinking alcohol. The food didn't redeem the evening. The steak rolls were a disappointing downgrade from the beloved cheesesteak rolls served before the name change and renovations. What used to be a standout appetizer has been reduced to a bland, uninspired imitation that lacks the flavor, texture, and identity of the original. Kenny's on the Water may have a new look, but the relaunch feels hollow. Restaurant Week should have been their moment to prove the renovation was more than cosmetic. First off, the parking was confusing. We parked on the street, not knowing where the actual lot was because there was no visible signage. The restaurant is cool, a bit small, but they make it work. Our server was excellent and made the experience much better; her name is Chrystal. We had a larger party, and she was extremely attentive, patient, knowledgeable, and sweet. OMG! Newly renovated and a positive vibe throughout. Wait staff truly professional. Angelina served me with a smile and was very attentive regarding my Chicken Martine order. The taste and presentation of the meal was top shelf as well as the sides of sliced roasted potatoes and spinach. The coffee was fresh at dessert time. The apple crisp tart with ice cream and fresh whip cream was the best ever. Bathrooms are five star. Plenty of free parking a plus. Highly recommended to friends and family. read more

Tried them out since they are under new ownership. They used to be Patsy's. The parking lot is all torn up so they valet park your car. The funny thing is they couldn't find many of the cars they had valeted on corresponding neighborhood streets. :-) Anyhoo, I don't like the new way the make the pizzas because they are not round pies they are oblong and are more like an appetizer than a meal. The salad was decent and so was the calamari. My husband ordered the clams but they had ground almonds in the topping and he didn't like that. He also ordered the short ribs and said they were tender and delicious. I don't think I will return because I used to love Patsy's Pizza but don't like this new way of making pizza. read more

Drove all the way from Newburgh after seeing the commercials. Was seated at a tiny table 4 feet from the bar. Nothing says "enjoyable dining experience" more than having a crowd of people standing by the bar watching the basketball playoffs with their asses hovering right next to your face and their LOUD conversations blasting into your ear. We had a wonderful dinner at Kenny's tonight. We were surprised by the mixed reviews on Yelp. Decor is lovely. Service was excellent and friendly. We ordered from the regular à la carte menu, not the Restaurant Week menu. We started by sharing a salad which they split and served on 2 plates. The portion was large and sharing salad appetizers is common these days. We both loved our main courses. I had the grilled shrimp and scallops over risotto with asparagus. I've ordered shrimp and scallops at many restaurants and Kenny's was better than many I've had recently. My husband had the chicken scarpiello and said it was the best he's had. Not a regular? Don't bother. Made reservations almost 3 weeks in advance for 6:45pm in the dining hall celebrating a birthday with 6 women. I received multiple texts to remind me of the reservation. We arrived a few minutes early. Valet parking is offered and a huge plus. Their where two hosts - one younger and one older). After giving our name to the older host-she pointed to our table in the dining room and explained it would be ready for us in a few minutes and we can wait at the front or have a drink at the bar. We decided to go to the bar. About 10 min later the host returned asking my name again and then walked away. During this time at least 3 new groups arrived, that I noticed , which the host kissed and/or greeted with a big hello and seated promptly. At some point the host returns to us at the bar and points to a table near the bar (not the dining room where we had our reservation) and told us we can sit there. When I looked at the original table where she told us we would be - new people were seated who had arrived after us. In short, our reservation was at 6:45. We were seated at 7pm. Received appetizers at 8pm and dinner at 9pm. Bartender was very nice and trying her best to assist everyone at the bar and the tables in the bar section. Bartender appeared not to have any help. It was a Friday night. We were able to get one round of cocktails from 7pm to 10pm and we had to ask for them from our waiter. We ordered beef spring rolls, ceasar salad and clams casino to start and chicken martini, 2 veal chop and 3 skirts steaks along with the zeppoli, lava cake and smote pizza - Food was delicious and hot however 2 skirt steaks came medium while ordered well done. The restaurant as a whole is noisy and vibrant. Bathrooms were clean. Had the misfortune of ordering an open steak sandwich, which proved to be the most disgusting slop I have ever been served. Salad was inedible, couldn't even make out what kind of dressing was used. My wife and I were visiting and took our son and his girlfriend for dinner at Kenny's, which was Patsy's. Kenny's has made some changes, adding a new bar area. The restaurant was bright, airy and not noisy. Chrystal was our server and she was very knowledgeable and friendly. One of us is gluten free and Chrystal offered GFree pasta and advice on which dishes could be made GFree. The food was served timely and was great. We had chicken parm, penne ala vodka and a GFree penne ala vodka. The portions were large so we all had leftovers. Sue, the manager, said to save room for the homemade bread pudding which was amazing and the cannoli's which were equally as good. When we are back in the area we will definitely return. read more

We kicked things off with the Wedge Salad, and let me just say... it was crazy perfect--crisp, cool, loaded with toppings, and surprisingly filling. A total must-try! But the real star of the night? The Scallop & Shrimp al Limone -- hands down my new #1 favorite dish! Perfectly pan-seared dry sea scallops and jumbo shrimp paired with tender asparagus and creamy risotto, all tied together with a rich lemon beurre blanc and a subtle crunch from toasted almonds. My wife and I went to Kenny's for the first time and sat at the bar for drinks/appetizer and takeout. Our bartender was courteous and attentive, all good. The calamari app was very good. We had an issue when we received the bill. Our takeout main entree was the salmon. On the menu it was $30. On the bill it was $34. We then looked at the online Kenny's menu and it was $32!!!??? We had mistakenly paid the bill before questioning this. One of the bartenders said he fixed it and provided us with a corrected "bill", though our credit card has not been credited yet. We had a group of eight gather at Kenny's on the Water for a long-awaited reunion, with friends flying in from all over the country. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us like royalty--kind, patient, and incredibly attentive. We took our time settling in (we had a lot to catch up on) and ended up staying for hours, but never once felt rushed. The food? Outstanding from start to finish. Every single dish was a hit--but I have to give a special shoutout to the zeppoles for dessert. I don't say this lightly: those were the best zeppoles I've ever had. Crispy, fluffy, warm, and just sweet enough. If loving them is wrong, I don't want to be right. I live 40 miles away, and I'll happily make the drive just for another round. It was my family's first time visiting Kenny's in the Water. We were meeting with family nearby and decided to try. This place did not disappoint! The location is beautiful, lots of parking space, our server Marcos was amazing. He was very attentive, explained all the special, made sure to ask if we had any allergies. We order a little bit of everything. The pizza was delicious! We got pepperoni & cheese, thin crust and made perfectly. Calamari was my favorite appetizer, the sauces combined was magnificent. We also tried the Philly cheesesteak rolls, wasn't sure if I'd like them but they were yummy! It was recommended to try the veal and the sauces paired with the meal amazing. We ended our meal with the bread pudding and Zeppoli's and oh my god, honestly my favorite part. Very poorly run, from the Valet backed up to the road to waiting 25 minutes to get our first drink. When we made comments to the waitress she laughed. Very poor flow in the restaurants with people and staff going back and forth all night . Finally the food and portions were just so so. Eating out in many restaurants for years,my husband and I know good food and service. And you will get that here and not be disappointed. Susie, the general manager, is very professional and warm. She makes sure to go around to the guests and converse with them. The restaurant has different dining areas and the new closed in renovation Tiki bar and dining area came out beautiful. We sat and ate at the new bar and Halima, the manager, with a bubbly personality, made it enjoyable for us. Not to mention good drinks! In addition to the ambiance, the food is exceptional and service is top notch. We've eaten there many times and with the new twist to the menu, there is a good variety to choose from. You can taste quality ingredients in the food, especially in the sauce and cheese. I've eaten several fish dishes, all so fresh. I would definitely recommend any fish dish. I personably like the Scallop & Shrimp al Limone, so tasty and not overcooked. Perfect!! My husband enjoyed the ribeye, cooked to perfection. Let me start off by saying that the parking wasn't good that evening when we went to Kenny's...But...they did have free valet parking which helped a lot. This was the old Patsy's restaurant that overlooks the harbor in New Rochelle/Pelham. There was some construction going on around the main entrance...but once we got in we were greeted very warmly and friendly by the hostesses at the door. We found the place to be cozy, clean and comfortable with a nice atmosphere. We had reservations...so we were seated rather quickly. Their menu varied with a lot of nice choices. It was a blend of Italian and American dishes. Our appetizers consisted of the charred octopus, with the beans and chopped sausage pieces and 2 classic flatbread pizzas with an assortment of toppings. All well prepared and tasted great. Our dinner consisted of a dish called Calamarota with plenty of scallops and pesto sauce, the swordfish piccata with basmati rice, a dish of linguini alle vongole...with plenty of clams, and 1 New York strip steak with fries on the side. Everything excellent and prepared perfectly. Plenty of red and white wines to choose from...and we did have a few glasses. With dinner we had also ordered a nice dish of broccoli rabe and it tasted great! The wait staff was very good and attentive. The prices at Kenny's are very fair. Give it a shot. I visited Kenny's yesterday for lunch. I so wanted to like this place yet I was a bit disappointed. Here are some Pro's and Con's I found throughout the meal. Let's talk about the food... The ingredients are not ALL fresh. Half of the food you can tell is prepared with some fresh ingredients thrown in. Keep in mind, it's not fine dining. That is why the prices are reasonable.The waiter was a sweet young boy however, when asked about sizes of appetizers he was unsure. The app plates are small if you have several people dining with be sure to order enough for the table. There were 4 of us and we ordered the steak eggroll for an appetizer it was 2 egg rolls sliced in half Ugh ! Silverware consisted of a knife and fork, no spoon. I had to ask for one after my Gelato was served without a spoon. My double espresso was so watery. When I told the waiter he didn't offer to take it off the bill, I had to tell him. He did, however, bring me a single espresso on the house, so good rebound! The manager was at a table nearby chatting with a group of women, she never came over to us to ask if everything was okay, not even a meet & greet and you just opened. Really ? Do better! Linguine Alle Vongole description on the menu is a false advertisement: there were ZERO fresh chopped clams in my dish on 9/14/25. There were 7 littleneck clams and that was it. In addition, the service was terrible. Menus were stacked at one end of the table - not even put at each seat. Granted the reservation was at 3PM which is an off hour, but if the restaurant is open at that hour, it should be staffed accordingly (or management should get rid of inept staff). As in, diners shouldn't have to wait for a waitress to come out to take drink orders after drinking tap water for at least 10 minutes, and then wait ages for the food to finally come out (especially when the restaurant isn't even a quarter full). Lastly, if your table is within the area against the water but table isn't against the windows, there is literally no view. And, the bridge to walk from the parking lot to the restaurant is nasty and tacky looking covered in astroturf. read more
