Eggplant fries, bang bang Brussels, fried Crispy Artichokes. Get the Brussels!!
Jess L.

Maria was a huge win for me. I'm not always in the mood for Italian, but I would definitely come here again. They had the best Brussels sprout dish I've ever had. Ever. Don't hesitate and order it now! We also really liked our beets. They were fresh and bright. I also loved our eggplant fries. Our waitress was chill and mostly attentive. I can't wait to visit again.

I'm going to say that the bartending staff made awesome recommend recommendations ; steered me through a cocktail that was delicious. Refresh it and totally out of my norm when we got to our table the waitress was efficient, but she's Russian and since I do have part Rushing in my background, I do understand their speech is shortened to the point we would've been OK with that because our meal was wonderful and she did go out of her way with a lot of stuff, but she basically tore us towards the end when we paid and tipped her that they needed a table for someone else, I did see as I was walking out. The person waiting for the table was on crutches and didn't need to be seated what I believe would've been a better way of handling it was to see the person at the bar or tell us that they had a person with a disability needing the seat and we would've gladly removed ourselves. My other companions didn't know this, and they were highly offended and thought it was rude, and I believe complaint to the manager. I'm going to say that part of it was the cultural differences between us, and she didn't realize maybe she was being extra rude by telling us they knew the table for someone else other than that I was pleased with the food the experience, and definitely the bartending staff. Our fishes were delicious our appetizer which was recommendations by the waitress the Barada clams totally perfect so I'm gonna say that I'm gonna give this place in the shot and not let one hiccup ruin what could be a beautiful relationship

Maria Restaurant has been on my list to visit since I've been living in Westchester. Went on a Saturday evening at 7pm for a couples date night. Felt rushed ordering drinks and food, but our server was nice. Drinks were refreshing. Appetizers came out pretty quick, the meatballs and burrata and beets were my favorite. My friends enjoyed the baked clams and octopus. I ordered the black linguine, it was very flavorful and the portions were generous. My husband ordered the beef bracciole, he was not impressed and thought it was just ok. My friends ordered lamb chops and the pork chop parmigiana and they loved their dishes. For dessert, we had the tiramisu, whoopie pie, and pop's famous dannolo. The desserts were good. The menu looked a little different online from the menu we ordered from the restaurant. My husband and friend didn't find what they originally wanted that was online. Overall experience was good, glad I finally got to check this place out. Not sure if I'll be back anytime soon, this place did not wow me and I've had better Italian food elsewhere.

Food was delicious!!! We got a big steak and a chicken parm for the table and shared a few pasta dishes. Really nice vibe and service. Will definitely be coming back.

I went for dinner at Maria's on a Monday after a doctor appointment. I arrived about 5pm. This is a neighborhood gem. I will say I wish the Monday menu was a bit more extensive like the menu online but nonetheless what I selected for appetizers and a meal was good. For appetizers we had the grilled baby lamb chops, the cauliflower fritters and meatballs. The chops and cauliflower were so good we ordered a 2nd round. The meatballs were not to my liking. I wasn't a fan of the texture but the sauce was good. I wanted to try the pork ribs but they didn't have them. For our meal we shared the black linguini. That was very tasty and the shrimp was big and so fresh. It could have had more garlic and some Parmesan cheese but it is a very good dish. I opted for a cosmo as my drink. I don't like sweet drinks so they made my drink perfect for me. The service was very friendly and attentive. This restaurant is intimate setting perfect for family , dinner date or just dining with friends.

My wine group has been here now three times and it absolutely delivers every time! From the amazingly attentive waitstaff including the bartender to the seemingly endless amounts of delicious food that keeps coming out. Gio knows how to treat his guests! Our group was treated to family style dishes of tender meatballs, lamb lollipops, truffled green beans, rosemary potatoes, two different types of pasta, salami and cheese, baked clams oreganata, baked oysters, individual sized pizzas, then the meat course came out! Seared tuna steaks, grilled lamb and absolutely phenomenal ribeye steaks. Dessert was a trio of pistachio and chocolate cannoli, a cream cake and pistachio ice cream. This was such an amazing meal! I will 100% be back for more!

For pre-mother's day dinner, I snagged a last minute reservation for a party of three. I guess it's a good thing Maria's isn't open on Sundays because we avoided waiting with the Mother's Day dinner crowd. My party was originally going to walk in but after calling the restaurant, the hostess wasn't able to give us an estimated wait time. Thankfully some reservations opened up on Resy so we didn't have to deal with the walk in headache. When we arrived, the hostess was on her phone, looked at me, and went back to her phone and finally addressed me when she was done. Very unprofessional. When our server led us to our table and we were seated, the experience took a turn for the better. Our server was very personable and gave us some menu recommendations. She checked in from time to time and didn't make us feel rushed to order. The best items were the baby lamb chops, truffled green beans (complimentary), and mushroom ravioli. The lamb chops were super tender and well seasoned even with the spicy sauce on the side. The green beans were served cold but it worked because the green beans had a nice crunch with a splash of truffle oil. The mushroom ravioli was a balanced and creamy concoction that was mushroom forward in a tasty way. The rest of the dishes were well executed but not standouts. The only thing I was disappointed with was my potato gnocchi with braised short rib. The gnocchi was overcooked and the sauce, protein, pasta ratio was off. The ambiance is old school lounge with indigo sofas and mini chandeliers that are primarily for aesthetic rather than lighting. It also gives me a fancy medieval castle with splashes of modern color depending where you're sitting. Outside of the unprofessional hostess, our dining experience was great. There aren't a lot of "fancy" restaurants to choose from in New Rochelle and it was nice that our party of three were able to get in last minute. Just a tip for those ordering Tiramisu: order one and share it.

Poached pear with nutella marscapone...soooo good!

I came here with my friend and daughter for lunch during restaurant week. We've driven past this restaurant many times and I always wanted to see what they were about. We made reservations and when we arrived, they were quite empty. We sat at a nice banquet table and the bartender doubled as the server. He was very nice. I want to say that his name was Eric but I can't remember. The decor of the restaurant is nice. I love their blue banquet seating, the exposed ceilings and light fixtures. It's a cool set up. We ordered many things off the menu, including their baked clams, which are phenomenal. We also had some seared tuna and salmon tartare, which were both very good. For our entrées, I opted for their New Zealand lamb chops and my gf ordered their whole Cornish hen. My kiddo had some spaghetti with sauce from the kid's menu. We had a poached pear with Nutella marscapone, and an affogato with vanilla bean gelato. Everything was very good. I ended up visiting again with hubby and we had an equally good time.

Maria is a small, low-lit restaurant with an intimate feel. We were greeted warmly and immediately and sat in a cozy little corner near the window. We started with the mom's meatballs, made with whipped ricotta toast and pomodoro. They were cooked well and the sauce was pretty good. I thought they could use a little more seasoning, but my husband said he thought the seasoning was appropriate. We also had the bang bang Brussels sprouts, made with fermented garlic honey, chili, pistachios, and a sesame pumpkin puree. Sprouts were crispy and smoky and had some gentle heat from a roasted Serrano pepper included. They are apparently known for their roasted oysters and baked clams, but that's not our thing. Their selection also included crispy artichokes, cauliflower fritters, blistered peppers, and burrata and beets. They have several high end Italian entrees. I had the wild mushroom ravioli, made with rosemary cream, asiago, and rocket (arugula). I didn't pick up on the rosemary much, but the dish was woody and pleasant. My husband had the spinach gnocchi in the bolognese sauce (you can also choose Gorgonzola cream). I thought his dish was super savory and flavorful. I liked mine, but I think I liked his better. Other pasta selections: black linguine, rigatoni, lasagna. There is a delicious looking gnocchi served with braised short rib rage and marsala parmigiano that I would like to try next time. The Pics cache e Pepe looks awesome too: smoked pecorino cream, telicherry pepper, and scallions (on second thought, maybe I'll try that next time). There is an expansive pasta menu, as well as a veggie menu, serving things like charred carrots, crushed potatoes with rosemary and parmesan, and salads. Mains include cod, Cornish hen, pork chops, salmon, octopus, lamb shank, and multiple cuts of steak. You can also choose various types of parm. They have a short, sweet, yet sophisticated desert menu including tarts and cannolis. My husband had the tiramisu, which was classic. Cool, moist, and coffee flavored. I had the pistachio tartufo, which is pistachio ice cream or gelato served inside a chocolate shell. When combined with the strawberries served on the side, it was such a refreshing, satisfying way to end a meal. I had a couple of glasses of wine. They have a few basic cocktails, but wine is the way to go here. Nothing fancy, but nice accompaniments to the food. Service was absolutely wonderful. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He made helpful suggestions. And the rest of the staff checked in on us, made sure our waters were filled, and kept our table clean. Definitely coming back again, for both the food and the service.

We just had dinner here tonight for my parents' 50th Anniversary. It was a wonderful place to celebrate this special occasion. The staff and owner were so extremely nice and welcoming. The food was delicious- every course just perfect! They didn't rush us out and really let us spend time together eating and chatting and just enjoying the occasion. They made it really special. We will absolutely be back again.

Yes, we have a few vegan items such as our Big Salad with Organic Greens, pickled vegetables and assorted legumes or the truffled green beans or blistered Shishitos which could be pan fried to avoid contact with frying oils that may have been used… Read more

My best friend and I stopped into Nomo Social for drinks and sat at the bar. I've been on a lychee…read moremartini kick lately so I asked the bartender if she could make one with tequila instead of vodka. The vodka lychee martini was priced at $18. I asked if I could replace the vodka with tequila. She said it was possible and told me there would be a $2 upcharge totaling $20. I requested Don Julio tequila which she let me know it would be an additional $4, bringing the drink to $22. I agreed and she made the drink. The drink itself was delicious and refreshing. When we were ready to close out, a different bartender came over and asked what we had. She returned with the receipt, and my drink was listed as $25. I explained that the original bartender told me it would be $22. She became snippy and dismissive. She continued with unnecessary comments about how prices would be different on weekends and that she was "just letting me know for future reference." I reminded her that I didn't make up the prices and I was simply going by what her colleague told me. She continued to going back and forth with me, rolling her eyes, talking with her hands and her neck and overall being confrontational. She was so rude and for that reason, I did not back down. She told me I "don't have to give her attitude," even though she clearly had an attitude based on her her verbal and nonverbal behaviors. What made the situation even worse was when she walked to the end of the bar and loudly yelled to the bartender who made my drink, "Next time don't tell customers prices if you don't know them," right in front of my friend and I. I commented and said that's a conversation you have privately, not in front of customers. It's completely unprofessional, unnecessary and uncomfortable for all parties. The original bartender was very nice and personable, she did not deserve that. The argument between the second bartender and I escalated to the point where another bartender, Rob, had to step in and tell her to stop. I'd like to mention that during the back and forth, she mentioned that she doesn't have to bartend and that she does this "for fun." SMH. Anyways, Rob intervened, approached me and asked what happened. I explained what had transpired and told him that I would be filing a complaint. I was told the bartender's name was Marino. I am very disappointed on the way that things played out. This interaction completely overshadowed what could have been a nice experience.
