Decided to come here out of the blue on a solo date. Walked in. Didn't care much for the smell of the elevator in fact that was the only bad part of the evening. I was immediately greeted as I exited the elevator. I was greeted moments after I say at my table by my server Nick. After looking at the menu I decided on the love potion. Funny enough Nick said that was going to be the drink I would order. Somehow it's taste was different than what I thought it would be a I thought it would be sweeter. I started with the oyster Rockefeller. I wanted charbroiled oysters so this was the closest. These were really delicious. Nice flavor. I then had the bronzino & mac n cheese. Plenty of lobster in the mac and cheese. Could do with a little more cheddar but really creamy. The portion size was also just right. The bronzino was ok but adding a little lemon juice took it to delicious. I was torn between the tiramisu or creme brulee but went with the tiramisu. Only thing this needed was a cup of coffee. This was my 1st time but will not be my last. The attentiveness was one of the best I've had. As I arrived i kept seeing people come in and be greeted like this was Cheers, and I can see how this would be that place. Added touch was that you get to ask for your car by text before you exit. Earlier this week, I finally had the opportunity to visit the Sea Fire Grill. I say "finally" because I had been hearing of the restaurant for several months, with friends--whose opinions I trust--raved about the restaurant. In actuality my "relationship" with the Sea Fire Grill goes back several years to the US Open tennis tournament when a good friend and I went to the Benjamin Steakhouse (which has the same owner) at the US Open. We were overwhelmed by the quality of food, drinks, atmosphere, and service. So much so, in fact, that we became regular customers at Benjamin Steakhouse Prime in Manhattan. To say I was overwhelmed by the food and drink at the Sea Fire Grill is an understatement. The lobster mac and cheese was divine. The Old Fashion was made as few others know how to make it. The staff, well, I don't know who trains them, but each member was thoroughly professional, which is not the case in many other establishments. One of the more amazing things is that you almost feel as if you're on vacation elsewhere. As you gaze out on the Hudson River and the flickering lights off its waters, it just doesn't feel like you're in New York. My buddies and I plan on visiting this fine dining establishment very soon. First and foremost their is valet parking. Location is everything and this establishment is right on the water the view is spectacular. I reserved a table for my Anniversary. Restaurant located on the second floor. The first floor has a staircase or you can proceed to use elevator towards the back. I requested a booth which overlooks the whole room but if you want a table with a view request a table by the window and you see the Hudson depending on the time of years it's whimsical. We came after the snow storm the view to Jersey was beautiful ice covered the Hudson definitely epic dinner. The place is grande and the device is spot on. We loved oysters so we got them raw and baked both equally delicious. We both ordered fish but I loved mine with the lemon sauce with capers. Very pricey so bring your credit card lol read more

My husband and I debated between trying this new place and going to Benjamin's. We opted for something new and came here but wish we had gone to Benjamin's afterwards. Namely, because I wanted menu items that were at Benjamin's but were not available at their sister restaurant. Our son also had buyer's remorse. He enjoyed the lamb chops better at Benjamin's. Also, my husband's steak didn't look as appetizing as Benjamin's. The staff were nice though and very accommodating. The ambiance is awesome and the view of the Hudson is to die for. My daughter and I recently shared our first mother-daughter lunch since the birth of my grandson five weeks ago, and it felt truly special. Formerly X2O on the Yonkers waterfront, the new Sea Fire Grill has done an outstanding transformation of the space. The new designed dining space takes advantage of the sweeping views of the Hudson River from every table as well as an expansive bar. From the moment we arrived from Valet to the Host and wait staff we knew we would have a special dining experience and they delivered. I splurged on the caviar course, which was truly luxurious. The tin was opened tableside and served with mini blinis and classic accompaniments--finely diced red onion, egg whites, yolks, chives, and crème fraîche--presented over ice. The restaurant offers a three-course prix fixe lunch on Saturdays and Sundays for $45, though à la carte options are also available. We opted for the prix fixe menu and were more than satisfied. To start, I chose the Bibb salad with caramelized pecans, Boursin cheese, and Craisins, lightly tossed in a reduced balsamic vinaigrette. The portion was generous, refreshing, and very satisfying. My daughter selected the lobster bisque, which she thoroughly enjoyed--velvety smooth and full of lobster flavor. For entrées, she ordered the Scottish roasted salmon, cooked perfectly medium as requested, with a crisp top. It was moist, flavorful, and paired beautifully with black rice and a honey dill sauce on the side. I chose the petite filet mignon and can honestly say it was cooked as near-perfect medium as I've ever had in a restaurant--tender, juicy, and expertly prepared. It was served with roasted potatoes, asparagus tips, and cherry tomatoes. The only minor misstep was a slightly heavy hand with the oregano on the vegetables but it hardly detracted from an otherwise excellent dish. By the time dessert arrived, we were quite full, but since it was included, we indulged. We shared a cheesecake and tiramisu. The cheesecake stood out--light, creamy, and finished with a reduced tart cherry topping--while the tiramisu was also very good. If we had to choose, the cheesecake was the clear favorite. Entrées and deserts were ample portions. All in all, it was a memorable lunch marked by exceptional food, thoughtful service, and a meaningful moment shared between mother and daughter. Will I return absolutely, the food was perfectly executed. Delicious flavorful and I'm will not to pay restaurant week prices for it . What I absolutely loved was their cocktail and wine selections; the view as always formerly this location was Xavier's the view is super; the bar is centrally now located so it's makes more sense ... surrounded by beautiful wines. The elevator is a necessity especially for my girlfriend on crutches. What I didn't love was 2 sets of cars non of us realized their was a valet actually working until we self parked . I was informed that my squid ink pasta was made in a fra diablo sauce , no where in the menu was it stated nor did a water warn me. Was good yes could I even attempt to finish it no . Like my tiramisu. I had a bite ... I wasn't offered a to go container and our waiter sort of disappeared. Food - 5 stars, service - 2 stars. As an anniversary "romantic" dinner, this was disappointing, although we did end up laughing at all the minor mistakes that added up to a "no return". The food was excellent, BUT.... 2 proseccos arrived with one flat and one bubbly (end of an old bottle?) 1 bread plate /knife for two? Bread was delivered, when we realized that my husband had no plate. Could not flag down any staff member, so we took one off another table! (only 6 tables occupied so no excuse) Waiters and busboys reached across my husband to put down utensils and later to bring food rather than going to the side. I was given a knife on my left and a fork on the right There was no salt and pepper on the table and the water was "gone". There was no serving utensil in one of the side dishes - we used our fork We ordered coffee and 10 minutes after we finished it, no one came to ask if we wanted a refill. I finally waved my arms (rude!) at a busboy and asked him to send a waiter so we could get more coffee. (Two waiters and the Manager had been standing at the door having a conversation for about 15 minutes at this point and never looked around to see if they were needed) This is a gorgeous restaurant with great views, beautiful, quiet music and great ambience. Poor service for an expensive meal in what should be a 5* place. Sadly, we will not return. read more

This was originally a 4-star from me. It was practically perfect. The food was amazing. Beautifully presented. Service was excellent. Renovation, gorgeous. I also really loved that there were salt and pepper shakers on the table. Tells you the chef is flexible-sometimes even amazing food needs a little salt. Dessert. Delicious. The only hiccup--we had ordered a dozen oysters and we were brought 11. When we figured out we didn't have 12 we told our server. They came back with--1 oyster. It would have been better if they had given us 3. But what then bumped it up to a FIVE was when we learned they had only been open for three weeks. Five stars. Restaurant was up and running pretty smoothly--very impressed with that. It is pricey. What a delicious treat with upscale ambiance! We were told they just redecorate and reopened, and the space looked beautiful. Our server was so nice! They were all very friendly and professional. The food was fantastic. I don't normally see grilled calamari and it was cooked perfectly. The squid ink pasta with lobster was absolutely delicious!! Food, Wine, Service and Ambience: 10/10 We spontaneously went last night for dinner after work on their opening night -- a hop skip and a jump away from the Yonkers Metro- North train station. We took the stairs to the second floor (they have elevators too) ignore the empty host stand at the entrance of the first floor. From the moment we walked in we could tell everything was thoughtfully curated. They are right on the river with a beautiful view of the city and the palisades with an expansive and delicious wine selection. The ambience is great, staff were attentive and the food and presentation were incredible. The dining room is comfortable and beautiful. The menu was heavy and tactile with great options. The food was delicious and very satisfying-- I had oysters, an amazing beet salad with 2 glasses of their Bordeaux Blend and my husband had the ribeye with fries and 2 Bourbon old fashions. For dessert we ordered affogatos with Baileys and were given Port on the house. The bathroom was seamlessly tucked away, clean, pretty and smelled great. Our group of four had the oysters, mushroom soup and a salad wedge to start, the tuna amd porterhouse steak which were delicious and finished with the apple strudel with vanilla ice cream and a decaf coffee. Where do I even begin? Absolutely horrible -- from the service, to the food, to the overall experience. PLEASE READ BEFORE COMING. Our reservation was for 9:00 PM. We were seated around 9:10 PM, and our waiter immediately took our drink and prix fixe orders. We received our drinks, appetizers, and bread service by 9:45 PM -- which was already pushing it. That's when everything went downhill. We noticed that tables seated after us were receiving their entrees before we were. Our waiter was nowhere to be found, except when he happened to notice my boyfriend's empty beer glass -- very convenient. He never once came over to give us an update on our food or explain the delay. The couple seated next to us even commented, "I hope your steak comes cooked better than ours," because their steaks were so cold they had to be sent back. So when did we finally get our entrees? 11:00 PM. The only reason we even got them was because I had to flag down a busboy to locate our server -- who personally brought them out over an hour later while the restaurant was literally clearing out. And of course, the surf and turf, cream of spinach, and mushrooms were all lukewarm at best. To make matters worse, the "champagne toast" promised in the prix fixe menu was never given to us. I understand it was Valentine's Day, but "busy" is not an excuse for zero communication. A simple update would have gone a long way. Instead, all we got was a lazy, "Sorry, it's really busy." My father works in the restaurant industry, and this level of service is honestly embarrassing -- especially for a business associated with Benjamin's Steakhouse. But the real cherry on top? They automatically added 20% gratuity for this disgraceful experience. We paid over $400 for food and service that I could've gotten at Outback, but were forced to tip like we were dining at the Waldorf Astoria. We were given no choice but to reward incompetence. Never returning here, and I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this place and any of their affiliated locations. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. read more

The Sea Fire Grill is located at the same spot as the Xavier's or X20 restaurant, as some called it. I always loved Xavier's for the service, the food, the waiters and of course the view of the Hudson River and the palisades on the New Jersey side of the Hudson. The only thing good left good of the previous restaurant was the view of the Hudson. The rest of my experience of basically down hill. First, as we checked in they didn't ask if we wanted to check our coats. We carried them to our seats. Next we ordered hot sauce for the shellfish. It never came. I mean never. I ordered lamb chops medium well. They came pink on the inside almost rare. Plus, they were so fatty that I couldn't eat half of the chops. The waiters would disappear for long periods of time so that you could not place an order or place an additional order, until you didn't want it anymore. I am hoping that they are just having growing pains and eventually get it together or they may not be there very long. read more

It's only fitting that I am able to create the first Yelp review for the brand new Sea Fire Gill in Yonkers- long story.... Housed in the former Peter Kelly X2O space the Benjamin Restaurant Group team has redecorated this space to new & very sharp levels. The Dylan bar is gone, replaced with private event space and the stunning views speak for themselves. The GW bridge to the left and the Mario Cuomo bridge to the right is as good as it gets. The grand opening party on 10-8 was a lavash affair with copious amounts of excellent fare including speeches from Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano. The sliders were exceptional as was the raw bar including caviar and most everything served was top notch. Service was accommodating and there was music on a very beautiful night after the morning rain storms. Benjamin's understands hospitality so I anticipate they will deliver at this space on a very high level. Kudos to the Benjamin restaurant Group for making this courageous leap as this is a very big project. Best of luck. read more

What an excellent experience! My husband and I came to Sea Fire Grill for his birthday and we LOVED it! First our waiter Gevi brought us bread that came with a smoked fish spread which was phenomenal. He was very nice and the service was amazing. We both got drinks that came out quickly. I got a martini and hubby got the paper plane which he loved. We both got the bone in Ribeye which were so incredibly delicious and cooked to perfection. We got them with the creamed spinach and the her fries which were excellent. My husband doesn't like bells and whistles for his birthday so I asked Gevi if he could bring a dessert and be low key and he was! We finished at the table and went to the bar. Alphonse the bartender was SOOO nice and the service was incredible. The restaurant was so beautiful. We visited X2O in the past and we love the new aesthetic of Sea Fire. Also, the manager Albert let us know that they have happy hour and brunch! We love a good brunch spot after church. We had previously dined at X2O and loved the ambiance, so we decided to try the newly opened restaurant--and we were not disappointed. From the moment we walked in, it was clear this would be a memorable evening. Our waiter, Ardit, was cordial, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the night. We also had the pleasure of meeting the manager, Benny, who checked in to ensure everything was perfect. They truly made us feel like family. Looking around the restaurant, it was easy to see how attentive the entire staff was--refilling waters, checking on guests, and making sure everyone was enjoying their meals. The cocktails were spot on. The surf and turf was incredibly juicy and seasoned to perfection. Ardit recommended the herb fries, and although I'm usually picky about herbs, they were crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. For dessert, we ordered the lava cake, and before we could dig in, Benny and Ardit surprised us by singing "Happy Birthday." The cake was amazing and the perfect ending to the evening. I don't even know where to begin. I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant. Drove over 45 mins each way and it was the worst experience. We waited TWO HOURS for our food only to receive a cold steak that I refused to eat. I didn't even want to notify the staff because 1. No one came to ask how the meal was and 2. I didn't want to wait again. We spent 2.5 hours in the restaurant and our waiter came to our table 2 times. The first to say "you ready?". I had finished my wine long before I even got my meal and no one asked if I'd like another. I seriously have never in my life had such terrible service. The manager said he would bring us a champagne toast and never got that either. Luckily for the waiter though, there was an automatic 20% gratuity. Spent a Sunday afternoon with my girls at this beautiful establishment. The ambiance is upscale and the views are outstanding. We were greeted warmly by the maitre d and seated promptly after our reservation was confirmed. The waitstaff is prompt, professional, accommodating and courteous. For apps we had tuna tartar, beet salad, octopus salad and cauliflower steak. We shared so that we we each had a taste of every dish. I've never had any of these dishes before and I must say the presentation and the flavors were impeccable! I ordered pasta with black truffle or squid ink, I can't remember which. One person ordered the branzino fish which she didn't seem to like very much so I traded my pasta for her fish. Pasta seemed slightly overcooked. Fish was good. Everyone seemed pleased with their meals. For dessert we shared apple strudel which was tasty, pecan pie which is the best I've every had and tiramisu. Please note that this restaurant is not cheap! It is expensive without a doubt. Our bill, including tax and tip was $876.65 to be exact. (It was split evenly between the five of us but still... ) If you are looking to impress your significant other or just have a beautiful, luxurious experience this restaurant will definitely fit the bill. read more
