Stacked is one of the best breakfast places to go to in Lubbock. The staff is amazing and they made sure to check on us every once in a while to fill our drinks. My family has visited Stacked twice now and we love it! The service is good but I give 4 stars overall due to the slow kitchen. We arrived at about 8am on a Saturday and there were plenty of seats! We were greeted immediately & ordered our drinks. After ordering pancakes meal, an omelette, & biscuit & gravy we waited for about 25 minutes for our food & with a hungry toddler that can seem like an hour! So this is my second time to eat at this relatively new restaurant. I went about a month apart and not much had changed. The atmosphere was wonderful but both times my coffee has tasted burnt. I sat at the bar today and couldn't help but notice the office that had been set up there. A constant problem at my restaurant is that we have no place for servers to be when they have nothing to do but Stacked handles this well. When my food came out I was asked if it was correct and if there was anything I needed I said no, so a believe I am partially at fault for getting has instead of the home fries that I ordered. But no amount of amazingly flavored bacon can make up for a very over cooked egg, I ordered over medium and cut through the yolk with no run. This was caped by my French Toast being under cooked. Overall not a bad experience but they still have some kinks to work out. read more

Our waitress was great and kept an eye on us throughout our wait and updated us every 15-20 mins. There are better and faster breakfast places in town. Waayy OVER priced! Very poor service. Ordered steak (medium rare) & eggs over easy; what I received was a 4 oz.(maybe?) over cooked tough ribeye & eggs over medium/hard. A side of hash browns was $2.99 & coffee $2.50! My wife had the "Classic" 2 eggs, bacon & hash browns with a water. Asked for but didn't receive any jelly for toast, Saw waitress twice, once to take our orders & to bring the bill! .... Bill total $30.00 for breakfast? WOW! They are under staffed, totally mismanaged. Watched 10-12 people stand at the door for 15+ minutes, despite numerous open tables, finally a gentleman (customer) informed the manager of the line & wait time. The manager? was rude & told him they were busy but he'd try to take care of them. This after several people left tired of waiting. I don't recommend wasting your time or $$ !!!! read more

The worst customer service and quality of food I have ever experienced. We waited over an hour for our food. We asked to speak to the manager and all he said is Your ticket is only 20 minutes. We said, no it was an hour ago and we have been here 2 hours. When we did get the food, it was cold, the hash browns were burned and so hard they could break a tooth. They got my husband and I orders mixed up. I told the waitress and she said ok, without apologizing or offering to remedy the situation. A different server brought the check and dropped it off. Until they get new management and servers and learn about customer and quality control I would stay far away! read more

one of my favorite local restaurants. i am rarely disappointed with the food, however the service is often lacking. it just depends on the waiter or waitress that you get, some are very friendly, however i have noticed that here i have had multiple bad, unfriendly and inattentive servers in a row. Great experience overall. I understand it's been opened by the former Stella's owner so I went for the baked cod knowing their reputation for seafood. It didn't disappoint. It's great to see a "non-chain" w a great atmosphere and nice decor. Just bfast and lunch but lots of options. Will be back. read more

If the service matched the food then this place would be outstanding. However, the service is rather slow and Ali attentive. We Had to wait for 20 min for a table for 5 even though there were plenty of tables open. When I asked the host why we couldn't be seated he told me the kitchen could not keep up so we would have to wait. When we were seated it took over 45 min to get our food. I purchased the mini stacked pancake flight... first off, there was nothing mini about the flight! All three types of pancakes were normal size and there were three of each pancake... which means nine pancakes total! The stacked and chocolate chip were delicious and I'm not a huge chocolate chip fan normally. The bacon pancakes were not my favorite and I probably would not get them again. One of my friends, purchased an omelette and it looked delicious and she enjoyed it. Our waiter was only okay and was not as attentive as desired, but all in all I plan to eat here again and would recommend it. I cannot say enough good about this place! We did have to wait awhile but it was less time than we were quoted. After we got our table, everything thing was fabulous. Coffee was strong but not bitter, we asked for lots of cream and sugar and our server was mindful of that the whole time. Our food was very tasty, especially the bacon. I decided to try Stacked because it came across my facebook feed and I saw a picture of a Summer Salad that look fabulous. Called in my order to go and picked it up. Pick up window was slow, then they were out of diet coke, when I got back to my work the salad was hot from the hot chicken and literally had strawberry, oranges and chicken on a lettuce bed with liquid (like water) blue cheese dressing. me and my friends went to eat breakfast this morning and we were not satisfied with our service. our servers name was ginger and she was not very patient with our group. we were very respectful and we understood that we were not a small group. while we were finishing up eating one of our friends still hadn't received her food so we politely asked for an update and she rudely said that she had no control on what goes in the kitchen. after everyone was finished the last group was waiting on their ticket and she continued to tell us in detail about a friends card that declined, which really was none of our business, and then told us that we don't know how to act towards servers. the food was not really that good either and getting yelled at multiple times by our server was really not what we were expecting when we got together for breakfast today. read more

Food was good but everything was cold. You can tell it was sitting out because the butter on the pancakes never melted. Only one plate out of the 4 was warm. Per other reviews seems like a reoccurring issue. They most likely need some better heat lamps or just bring out plates as soon as it ready. read more

This was a good spot for casually meeting friends on a Saturday morning. The menu was good and easy to read. The food itself was good; I got the avocado toast with egg on top and I found it to be filling. The coffee was surprisingly good as well--don't get me wrong, it doesn't compare to the coffee shops in LBK but for a basic breakfast house, it was a lot better than I expected. We had to wait quite a while for our food even before the breakfast rush. The ingredients in my omelette were also not correct and was charged extra to sub out the bread for a pancake. Just opened breakfast/lunch restaurant in the River Crossing Shopping Center. Since I'll eat breakfast ANYTIME of day, we decided to check it out. Turns out, it's owned by the people who own Stella's. We were seated immediately. My husband ordered the pan seared salmon with broccoli and basmati rice (14.99) and I had the stacked breakfast of 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 sausages, and hash browns (8.99). Food came out promptly and the waitress, Cassidy, was attentive and was always ready with the coffee pot. We stopped a little after noon. Wasn't too busy, but they don't have their grand opening until May-after that, I predict that they'll be waaaay busier! The owner was on the floor checking to make sure everything was okay, which I loved. My only complaint was that the tables are very small and it's hard to fit all that food on them comfortably! Our table was leveled with a sugar packet and I heard another diner say her seat along the wall tipped forward a little too much--minor inconveniences! Let's just say there are way better breakfast places in Lubbock. My dad ordered the biscuits and gravy with egged and bacon. The eggs were runny and the gravy tasted like flour, water and pepper. It had no flavor what so ever. I ordered chicken and waffles, the chicken had a sweet breading and the waffle was ok . The service was good and our server was really sweet! The pancakes made a two-star restaurant a three-star restaurant. They seem to be still working out the kinks. There were many open tables and the turnover was not well managed. The food was fair at best, and the wait for said food was an hour. It wasn't a traditionally busy time that we decided to eat, so that was disappointing. We ordered an omelet and ham and eggs with sides of pancakes. The pancakes really redeemed this place, even though they were undercooked in the middle. I'd recommend ordering take out! read more
