We arrived around lunch time. And restaurant was busy, but not overly crowded. Server came right over and took drink orders. Waited little longer than normal for server to take our order. Once we ordered, it took little over an hour to get 3 simple breakfast orders. Food was alright, seemed a little cold and lacked seasoning. My steak was a little over cooked and the A1 (which I only put on breakfast steaks!) was brought in a little side cup as of it's a scarce resource. I ordered a Eggs Benedict from here and I was appalled. They brought me my food and I took a bite and the hollandaise sauce that goes on top was spoiled. It tasted very sour and was inedible. So the waitress took my food and asked me to choose something else to eat. It wasn't that great either, food was cold and the pancakes had a strong flavor of vanilla. My friend had ordered the Strawberry compote and that was very watery and just tasted like sugar water. The portions are not even that great. I thought someone messed up and gave me a Child's waffle by mistake, I gave them another try and sure enough it was the same thin nothing of a tasteless waffle. It would be beneficial if they stopped advertising their waffle as a Belgium waffle, it is NOT a Belgium waffle. Super disappointing won't make that mistake again. read more

The chicken fried steak was dried and curled and tasted slightly burnt. The asparagus was soft as baby food , mushy. We waited 15 minutes to get our salad. My wife's fork had dryed food on it. Do NOT go if you want to eat in under an hour. We had a party of 2 and waited 40 mins to get eggs, bacon and a waffle. People that were sat right before us, ate and paid before we even got our food. There was a party of 3 that was sat after us and they were leaving as our food came out. This is not the staffs fault but managements. It is ridiculous to have to wait over 40 mins to get simple food. The staff stated it was because they were busy, but never in the while we were there did the restaurant get more than half full. Management needs to hire more people to help in the kitchen if they are truly that understaffed. read more

We waited an hour for our food only to receive what resembled a hotel's buffet. It was not busy enough to justify this kind of wait. I would cut them some slack on the wait if the food was at least decent, but that wasn't the case. My omelet tasted like it was prepared in the microwave, the hashbrowns were soggy and awful. Stacked is one of the best breakfast places to go to in Lubbock. The staff is amazing and they made sure to check on us every once in a while to fill our drinks.
