I wanted to tried this place with my friend for awhile. Food was very well portioned, and it had that comfort taste, but it was a bit on the heavy side. So you may want to share some plates. The place by itself it's very enjoyable, it has lots of seating for small and large parties, although the vibe it's in the dark/candlelight side. The bathroom were super cute and clean. We were there for our anniversary and it was a great evening. I forgot to make a reservation but they save room for walk-in's and we were seated immediately. We started with the fried zucchini. It was hot and crispy with lots of flavor. Forgot to take a picture. We both ordered medium rare prime rib and they were perfect. Sides were creamed spinach and baked potato. Both were excellent. The side salads were just right and the ranch and blue cheese dressings had great flavor without being too salty. I need to come here more often. read more

Came here last night for Valentines with my wife and the experience was strange. Our server seemed very nervous and was very apologetic to everything. For starters I asked for a steak that came with onion rings and mushrooms. Instead she rang me up for the club sirloin and even knowing that it was wrong she still sent it to me. Since I really like mushrooms with my steak I had to ask for some thinking that I wouldn't get charged. $6.00 later for a side that I shouldn't have to be charged for with a meal that I didn't ask for was crazy. I had asked for My steak to be medium rare and it was well done. Dry as could be. When she asked about my steak knowing it was wrong, I told her it's ok. I was already starving at this point and again more apologies for the wrong steak. I couldn't wait any longer. The sampler platter we got was taken from us while I was still eating it. Our server was very nice and she kinda knows how to do her job and we did tip her out nicely. We didn't want to be jerks and make her feel more uncomfortable then she probably already felt. The chances of us coming back again are slim. If any manager sees this and might recognize the waitress, please don't yell at her, reprimand her or fire her. I think she just needs to calm down a little bit and try to relax under tense or stressful situations like Valentine's Day or any other day. read more

The food here is good. I like sitting at the bar, it's usually pretty full, but you can expect a spot or two to be open. The meatloaf is awesome and the drinks are pretty good. I was back in LBBK for a meeting and went to dinner with some old friends. We ended up at Harrigan's because everything else was closed on Monday. My friends actually met at the old Harrigan's on 50th and got engaged there. The new business brought some of the old pictures from the last location but it doesn't have that "Smokey cigar lounge feel" the original location had. The new place is modern and has ample lighting. Their menu was large and they did have the French onion soup that was always good. We had issues with servers which is all to common these days. They ran out of Empress gin and couldn't find another bottle. The food was good. I had a surf and turf item. Garrett had prime rib and Sha had a smother steak. It was all good but nothing wowing. Beautiful elegance without pretentiousness! Prime rib and Mushroom Soup is a must try. Variety Appetizer was filling. Full Rack of Smoke Ribs is a HUGE amount of food! Tender, fall off the bone!! Chicken Del Mar is flavorful topped with plenty of Crab, no shrimp found. Might be too fishy for some and the sauce is heavy with salt. Club Sirloin was perfectly cooked best for those who prefer their meat LIGHTLY SEASONED. TWISTED MOSCATO was beautifully sweet. Key Lime Pie is exactly what you should expect. Everything was cold and not cooked properly. It had so much salt on everything, no one could eat their food. Chicken was underdone, steak was overdone. The waitress was very slow and didn't ask how anything was or if there was a problem when she saw that no one was eating. I wanted to talk to a manager, but my mother just wanted to pay and go. My 15-yo son wanted French Onion Soup for his Birthday-so to Harrigans we went. It was always good in my memories. This time it was not, and neither was much else. The service was great-our waiter tried his best to make things right-but the wait for the food and then the food itself was a disappointment. The shrimp and mozzarella bits appetizers were good. The soup was so oily and just not edible. The steaks were way over cooked and not seasoned. We did say something and were given 3 coupons for a free appetizer or dessert-which is of no use because we won't be back. Harrigan's is our true blue go-to for a wind down date night at the end of a long week. It's one of the few places in Lubbock that will serve hand made blue cheese stuffed olives with their vodka martinis. The salmon BLT is one of my favorite meals. It's a lunch item, so you won't see it on the dinner menu, but they've never hesitated to serve it for dinner when I've asked. The candied applewood smoked bacon is the perfect balance to the tomato, salmon, and ancho mayonnaise. Tonight I ordered it without the flatbread and with a side of parmesan creamed spinach. My husband ordered the 8 oz sirloin stockyard style which is served over a bed of sizzling sautéed mushrooms and topped with onion rings. I always have to steal a few of those juicy mushrooms. The steak was cooked as ordered - medium rare. And... we were full, but pushed through for the best key lime pie ever. It's a homemade recipe on a graham cracker crust. We experienced a wonderful evening at Harrigan's tonight! The meatloaf was absolutely amazing and so were the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizers. The very best part of our visit was our waitress, Hunter. She was at our beck and call and made sure everything was perfect. It is very sad what I suspect has happened to Harrigan's, Covid! Bad service, poorly prepared food. I ordered their famous fried zucchini, it was greasy, undercooked. 2nd visit (date night): We came in without a reservation on Saturday night a little after 7pm. There was a young lady (who we later learned is Del Ray) and a tall man (who we later learned is Victor) working the hostess booth. I will say right off (as we sat and observed the same interaction with other patrons for 45 minutes while we waited on our table), this man does not need to be working the hostess stand. He doesn't smile or look at people when speaking to them. In fact, at one point my husband overheard him complaining to the other hostess, saying something about "not having to take this ____." Overall, not the type of personality I'd want welcoming my guests. Scott was our waiter and he was fantastic. The steak was excellent, on par with steaks served at a place that has 3 syllables and rhymes with "pieces" a few miles NW of here. (Trying not to break any Yelp rules today.) I will say, don't get the margarita. Horrible. Maybe they forgot the sweet and sour but it was pretty much just lime and tequila. Before we left, I used the ladies room and as I came out of the stall, I noticed Del Ray cleaning down the common areas of the bathroom. She was really putting effort into it and seemed to be taking great pride in her work. That's what made us ask her name. She truly demonstrated great work ethic in both roles we observed her work while we were there. Overall, a decent experience but, based off our observations this night only, (Understanding everyone has bad days) some staff (which I suspect may be manager or assistant manager staff?) may need retraining or reassignment. 1st visit (work dinner): Came in on a Wednesday night with work friends around 5:30. We didn't make a reservation, but only had to wait about 10 minutes. We were seated in a booth right next to the bar. Our waitress was Felicia. Ordered a few appetizers but didn't care for the fried Brussels sprouts (they are deep fried, not pan fried). My coworker dropped ranch in her beer and the manager replaced it on the house, so that was nice. We all ordered the filet with New Orleans potatoes and they were excellent. Their Caesar salads are odd though as they come with cabbage and tomatoes; essentially a regular salad with a light Caesar dressing. I won't order that again. Overall, we will be back. Not worth the money. Food was poor quality and basically flavorless. Ordered 2 - 12 Oz. sirloins, medium. One was rare and we sent it back. They returned the same steak after cooking it longer (I do not have a problem with them cooking it longer as opposed to giving me a new steak), but I noticed that the texture was just completely odd. I know it was a sirloin and not a filet, but this was honestly just a poor quality meat. My husband said it looked like a rubber steak; like something you purchase for a child to use in their play kitchen. He wasn't wrong. The other steak was a better cut of meat so we ended up splitting it between the two of us. Even the better steak was tough to cut, and again, both were nearly flavorless. Because my steak was basically inedible, we took it home for the dog. We each got the New Orleans potatoes, and after taking a few bites, I noticed something crunchy, only to spit it out and realize it was an eye from the potatoes. The best part of the meal was the bread. Overall, I was not a fan and I would recommend one of the other local options for a better steak at a comparable price and similar/better atmosphere (Cagle's, West Table, King Street Pub, Las Brisas). Honestly, I've even had better steaks at national chains such as Outback and Texas Roadhouse. I was really excited to try this place because I had good memories of the old location and even worked there for a few months years ago. As it stands, we will not return. read more

What a fantastic experience we had for a 45th family birthday dinner. We come with a large party of 17 and we're accommodated great. I called last minute that morning for the reservation and while they said they were busy they made arrangements for our party. We are ALOT to handle haha and our sweet waitress handled us so well. She took drink orders, appetizer orders, salad orders, more drink orders, complicated food orders and then to top it off dessert orders and didn't miss a beat. She was kind, attentive and super helpful. Our food was incredible- cooked perfect, served well and none left behind. Time to try new location. So here is how it went. Nice setting and great wait staff! Wife's filet perfect, my prime rib not so good. Actually ended up unable to eat it (tough and chewy). The food here is absolutely amazing. The Bison Filet beats the offerings from other big name (and more expensive) steak houses in Lubbock. Beyond the great steaks and prime rib they also have Chicken Fried Steal with their Red Wine & Mushroom gravy that transforms this basic dinner into a delicacy. There are also chicken, seafood and meatloaf options but the steaks are awesome. The ambience is great. Even when the restaurant is full, you can still enjoy conversation at the table. They also have specialty cocktails like the Chocolate Raspberry Martini and great Chilton options. Oh yeah, the staff is enthusiastic and efficient. We have come here many times and NEVER had a bad experience. If you want to pay more for a dinner, there are other restaurants that will oblige you but the quality will not be as good.. read more

I have been to this location twice now in three days! Atmosphere is relaxing and fully of great energy. The food is amazing. The bacon wrapped shrimp is perfectly cooked where the bacon is crisp and the shrimp is succulent and sweet.
